Horrible UX and bugs all over. Errors or blank screen almost on every login. Fingerprint authentication pops up twice. Too many clicks to get to information that used to be easily accessible in the old version. The layout and the overall design make it hard to read the contents. No dark mode so all you see is white. Canned responses by developers to call or email them are annoying. I've done that and it didn't help. 🙄 There is plenty of feedback here. Just fix the app!

I never had any issues with the older version. This new "updated" one is horrible! For instance, if you click on a charge for more info then click the "X" or back button, it takes me back to the beginning instead of back where I was. And my fingerprint hardly works now and when it actually does work, it always takes multiple tries which is annoying and really bad if u need to check your available balance very quickly. I want the old version back please.

For the most part, this app does what it should...however, two common sense user experience issues are long overdue: 1. The app hijacks the screen every time it logs out automatically. This is unnecessary, annoying, rude, and makes me want to change banks every time. 2. Outgoing bill payments should show up next to the balance on the initial login. Currently, this takes two layers of menu options to find. Projected balances should be a basic part of the login.

back to problems wth the app. Can't transfer money between accounts without it logging me off and throwing me back to the login page. This has been going on for a few months now. Samsung phone. Sometimes an app error pops up with it. Removing app for 2nd time and reinstalling now to try and complete my transaction. Frustrating because I'm on a trip and only have mobile access.

It's already been several days and it still does not allow the changing of the amount and date to my bill payment!!! Does not allow good communication in the app via texts! Repeats words several times when trying to text, using the microphone!! Then if you enter anything else in text after waiting for a response, it begins the waiting process all over again!!!!!!! Sucks!

I like to pay down my CC statement balance a couple chunks at a time, to keep my balance low and not impact my credit score. I really don't like how this app doesn't show the remaining statement balance, they just show the last statement balance. Makes it more complicated to figure out what the remaining statement balance is. The Amex app makes this super easy. It's a simple formula, please just add it to the app as a visual aid and a selectable payment option.

Update 9 Dec 23: lost a star with another wave of UX "enhancements" with smooth animated transition blah blah bottom line, uses more battery life, doubled my loading times, and now I can only put 32 letters on the memo line of bill pay I had more before. UX is such an annoying concept in modern app design, can we just have functionality maybe a "lite" setting or a whole separate app this is getting so bloated it gives me a headache to think about it. I just want to pay bills and transfer money

It doesn't read the check amounts properly all the time and makes me retake even when it's printed, and then it still doesn't recognize the printed amounts. Also, I have to retake the back of the check multiple times to get it to accept the signature at times. Update: After uninstalling the app and reinstalling, it seems to be working correctly as it did previously.

Seriously? Has anybody that developed this app tried to use it? So, I have a scheduled payment. The monthly amount changed so I haphazardly search through the badly laid out app to find and edit my recurring payment. I finally find it to change the amount. But I can't save because the starting date is in the past? Really? A little bit of design work here would really help. Most other FIs will automatically default to the next scheduled payment date. Your attention to detail is severely lacking.

so many hidden fees despite my account meets criteria. FED should close this pos bank down. I'm closing my account after wasting years with this pos bank. It is really hard to find your credit card history transaction and such. I hate this app and bank. So many clicks to see all your "deposits" in an account. Need to move the "filter" option to each account tab once selected for easy access. Unable to log one the first time, always take 2-3 times to log on.

The Wells Fargo App is an Exceptional app! I use it almost every day, often several times a day. I constantly have an eye on all my accounts. I like the notifications that I set up and let me know when monies are being taken from my accounts. It's so easy to deposit a check by taking a pic, transferring money, or setting up bill pay. I really love the easy functionality of the Wells Fargo app!!

Update: restarting my phone fixed it somehow. 4* because of the hassle. Original: Several days ago the app stopped working on my S24 Ultra. I get the error "We are not able to complete your sign on request at this time. Please check your internet connection or try again later." this happens on wifi and cellular network. I have no issues logging in directly on the website. I tried clearing cache and data. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Can't figure out what's going on. Please fix this.

I can't log into this app anymore with my newest phone. It just stopped allowing me to log into the app about a week ago. I just tried my old phone, and it works. It says, "We are not able to complete your sign on request at this time. Please check your internet connection or try again later." I tired it on cell data and different wifi networks. VPN isn't turned on. Uninstall and reinstalled the app. The same message. Customer reports have come up, but nothing from Wells. What's going on?

Honestly, isn't this the biggest bank in the country? How is this app so slow and buggy? I've gone through multiple phones that have all used this app, and it's the slowest trash I've ever downloaded. It'll crash randomly, too. Half the time it doesn't even let you log in (mirroring the lack of ATM upkeep this company also has, btw). Makes you want to just find a different bank because clearly this one isn't focusing on putting out a good product.

Using Zelle in this app is more difficult than programming nuclear launch codes . I use this app to deposit checks and now that they have added the "auto picture" taking sequence it takes FOREVER! like asking an alcoholic with the shakes to take a picture for you. This new "convenient" addition easily took away from the efficiency of this app in multiples of ten. Instead of simply taking two pictures I have to hold the camera in place while it focuses, stops, re-focuses, stops, refocuse, etc..

I keep getting notifications trying to get me to turn on certain features like credit monitoring, etc. There doesn't seem to be an option to turn off these ad's without also turning off other necessary notifications. I also dont like how slow the app is. Every other credit card app I use is quick and responsive but Wells Fargo has long pauses before loading some screens. The whole app feels clunky and basic.

It's been two years with the updated app. Overall, it is a negative experience. Scheduled payments don't sync with payments that are due. So very many clicks for every activity. I don't want to interact with the app more, I want to interact with the app efficiently. The lavender(?) theme and oversized font are definitely a detracting feature, which is interesting since the website and app logo still use the older red and yellow theme.

mobile deposits just got more difficult- lots of "use less light" when trying to take check photos - using the same setup as I have used in the past. UPDATE. I have observed that the app always illuminates the work area where I have positioned the check. It is irritating that the app turns on the LED and then tells me to use less light. The LED is under the control of the app and its interface to the camera. The app should turn off the LED if there is "too much light". Poor user experience

This app was perfectly fine up until the last update. I'm not sure what happened, or if it doesn't support Samsung products, but I can no longer sign onto the app. Whenever I log in it shows the error message of "Your sign on cannot be completed at this time", but the website works just fine. If I wasn't on the go nearly all of the time, that might be fine to have to stop and open a browser and then put all my info in. I'm considering switching banks now, this is kind of pathetic.

Works if you can login. I have used the app for a few years, and the updates have been very nice; however now I can't sign into the app at all. It just loads the splash page with a pretty picture and nowhere to login into the app. This issue wasn't fixed by restarting the phone or uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Right now, it is a waste of space on my device.
