Latest series of updates in anticipation of removing tracking from website have rendered what used to be a great app almost non-functional, requiring extra workarounds to use the app. App claims notifications must be enabled for app to work properly. At least I am not getting notifications at 2am (it's happened in the past). Better, but not good yet.

Currently this app continues to get worse from day to day. When I want to track breakfast, the app tracks dinner. When I want to start tracking for 'today', the app tracks info for 'yesterday'. Continually gets worse with every update and this has been going on since WW has switched to an app only service. App was updated, phone is current. I was given an address to go to customer care to solve my issues and the link is wrong and goes nowhere. No help on their website at all.

It's frustrating when you paying for something monthly and the app is not working as it should. My husband and I each pay for a subscription. The more the app is updated the more glitches it seems to have. We loved weight watchers previously but it has become harder to do anything, and adding recipes now takes forever as it glitches regularly. Previously, when we had trouble with the app we would use the website now that is not an option. Once our subscription is up we plan to find a new program

I've had the app for 3 days, so I'm still learning its ins and outs. It's been easy to use and rather intuitive from the start. It's easy to log food and activity. And it allows you to monitor water intake. Regarding the WW plan itself, I lost 12 dress sizes when I first used the program 20 years ago. Using the points plan has helped me to recognize some bad habits and make positive changes. I feel confident that I will meet my new goals.

I have been on WW for about 6 months. When I started I loved the whole tracking thing with the app. There have been several updates but the last two are about to do me in. I was on a tracking streak of 150+ days and the last update wiped it all out. It was somewhat of a self rewarding feature.....it's the little things that sometimes matter and encourage. For lack of a better word.....the last 2 updates stink and make the whole principle of tracking a pain in the neck.

Why do I not have the grocery list when others have had it for weeks? I've logged off and on, uninstalled and reinstalled, but still nothing. I have a Samsung S23 and I've cleared the cache. Also, when I tap a meal, ie. snack, I do not get the list of previously added snacks. It displays a different meal like breakfast, although it shows it's the list for snack. I have to tap the meal name at the top of the list and then tap update to display the proper list. Hate the new changes!

I recently rejoined WW & downloaded the app. It pales in comparison to the older versions. Update: the spastic scrolling and the food tracking bugs seem to be fixed. I noticed that you can't edit the foods you calculate and add. Once you hit save, there's no going back. You have to delete it and start over. I don't like that you have to use to side menu to get to your saved foods, recipes, & meals. It's out of the way and it makes tracking a chore. It's used to be right on the main screen.

OK, I'm not the target demographic for WW. I'm a man in my late 60's. I lost 40+ lbs over 3 months. The program is good. However, I hate entering data on my phone. I have short fat fingers and getting it right is torture. I used the web site to do any data entry. WW has disabled almost all functionality on the web site. If it weren't for the food scanner, I'd jump ship. I may anyway depending on how much I continue to use the scanner. I'm not a 12 yo girl with tiny fingers. I need a keyboard.

Can't create my own recipes in order to determine points per servings. My screen on my phone does not look like how it is shown on the WW website. I loved and used the WW features when they were available on the Internet. I'm sorely tempted to cancel my membership and find another way to track. Update: found out how to do new recipes but it isn't easy. If you don't do it a lot, you forget the steps.

Update: I had high hopes for the app and it just seems to get worse functionally. NOT good at all. So frustrating!!! Update: I like the look of the new app improvements...one question...why did you remove the 1/8 measurement? I use that all the time. I sure hope they get the app straightened out before they cut off access to online tracking. The last few months have been a struggle. This app freezes constantly. The flow doesn't make sense when adding food... I am getting so discouraged.

I like the app but my biggest complaint is that when I scroll through the daily diary, it's very easy to accidentally delete an entry. Once an entry is deleted, it's not one of the "recently added" items, so you basically have to start over unless it is a very commonly used item for THAT meal. It is too sensitive to delete logged items. It should be less sensitive or have a double confirm to delete items once they are added to the diary. Otherwise loving the app!

I started using this again after about a 1.5 year gap. The new UI is terrible. Here are some examples: 1. Why can you swipe food to remove it from the list of food you tracked? I've done it in accident 3 times in one day already. There's no reason that should be so easy. 2. I manually entered food by typing in nutritional information (the scan didn't work). After typing it all in I tried to scroll up to check it. Instead, that was considered a gesture and cleared what I just input.

I have to manually type in the same breakfast every morning because I don't eat before noon and it only shows my lunch items. When scrolling, you will accidentally remove an item so quick you will never know what it was and the page jumps constantly. Months later, and you still haven't been able to get the app back to the user efficiency that once was. Making changes should be for the better. This app is on the struggle bus and not for lack of people having the latest update. It's by design.

I am new to this app but it freezes up quite a bit and most of what I eat is not in the tracker. It lacks so many organic items and is not organized well. I've used other trackers that are much better organized. I'd like to be able to add foods without adding them to my daily points to save for everyday tracking. I do see there is a favorites section but for some reason it repeats the items multiple times. I like the points tracker but WW has a long way to come with this app in my opinion.

I've always thought it wasn't user-friendly, but somehow they've made it worse. Ex- Years ago, if you had tracked food long enough, you could accurately guess the points of a meal based on its components. Even if you were off a little, it was better than not tracking because now you have to either create the exact recipe for it, or find someone's food they've created. Well, if I make a sandwich, or ha e dinner at someone home, I'm probably not going to take the time to track every ingredient

Since the update a few weeks ago the barcode scanner doesn't always work. It won't recognize a barcode but when I exit and go back into it and try to scan again it magically works. Really frustration when I'm grocery shopping and scanning multiple items. Other issue is the recipe screen. It completely kicks you out of the recipe if your phone times out. Annoying having to find and open the recipe again. Over all the apps is mostly great, just a couple of things that would be easy to fix

Editing my review; it's been about 4 years since my review & the app has improved. Things that still need work: no auto capitalization when entering a recipe or bio, which is super annoying. You can sync with certain fitness apps, which allows automatic upload of steps, which is helpful. Anything that makes tracking easier is good. Separately, you can sync a smart scale, but only a few types & not Garmin. I have a Garmin smart scale so it would be great if they added that scale.

Update 5/18/24: following a recent update there's an issue I'm having. If I don't scroll *just right* on my tracker, I accidentally end up swiping sideways and removing items I've tracked. Since there's no option to confirm removing an item, once it's gone I may not remember what it was. I love this app. Super easy to use and I like that it can connect to my fitbit. I've used the ww online tools for about 4 years, and I'm just very impressed at how far it's come.

Has there been an update I didn't notice? The app does not seem to be working as well as it previously had. Please go back to before the update. It has more bugs now than before. Tracking is glitchy and it's not syncing my activity properly. EDIT The new version does not properly track my activity. I use a Fitbit, and even though the app says it has synced with my tracker, it shows little to no steps when I have met or exceeded my goal

I'm unable to share things I've tracked with other people who are also using the app when we're eating together and are having the same meal. The bubble icon for chat rooms I'm in also disappeared a week or two ago. I've cleared my cache/data for the app, reinstalled the app, and restarted my phone but it won't come back. Was this feature was removed? This is a very good app otherwise. It's very helpful being able to look up various food items and track what I've eaten.
