Great but can't exactly be used as a complete podcast app replacement. It requires the watch to be continuously connected, even though you can download a podcast to your phone, start playing an episode, and it'll continue playing after disconnecting the watch despite the UI locking you out. I just wish I could have my podcasts synced to work offline across my watch and phone/Android Auto independently. Edit: Spotify doesn't support RSS, YT Music sucks for podcasts. This is is the best option.

A good app, I want to upgrade to Premium,I may be missing the point but I can not work out how to do it! Please advise the cost and how I upgrade.

great app, but why so few podcasts?

Fairly solid user experience. It appears that if you start a podcast, and then upgrade to premium, and then try to alter the speed from your phone, the speed does not change on your watch. This includes both single-podcast and global. Also, it appears that the WearOS activity running the app tries to completely take over my device, to the point where I cannot return home. I cannot access my notifications without killing the app. (Pixel Watch) I believe you should be using ongoing activity.

I have been looking a lot for a real offline podcast app for smartwatch and Wear Casts does the job I was looking for. I can download podcasts directly on my Huawei Watch 2 without using my phone at all and doing sports with my watch only. Unfortunately it is not yet perfect because the app is slow and sometimes surfing the podcasts causes crashes to the app. IT would perfect (and I would give it a full 5 starts review) if I could be able to surf podcast and launch the download from the mobile phone app. Right now I can only find very few podcasts from the US market only and I can only import podcasts feeds from other apps. Moreover, I first bought the premium features, but I got refunded with no reason and lost premium subscription. Could you provide me with an explanation for that? Despite it all, it's still the best offline podcasts app for smartwatch on the store.

This app is a total mess. It's constantly crashing on both my phone and watch, and the phone app won't even work unless it's connected to the watch. Even then, it's a gamble whether it'll actually work. Honestly, the only reason I'm still using it is because it's the only app I've found that works on both devices. But trust me, I'm actively looking for something better.

Beautiful app for wear os exactly the one I was waiting for. Just keep it updated with more podcasts regularly. Thanks for a wonderful app for my watch.

the app is really glitchy amd good luck getting your podcast list back if you ever need to reset the app. you don't login so there's nothing tying you to your list.

I love all the features especially where I can transfer my music to my watch and listen to tunes. 5 stars, great developer.

This is the only audiobook player I have found for a wear os watch. The file transfer is very slow, but there are other ways to transfer audiobooks to the watch. Some of them were explained in the tutorial.

This is an excellent app. Simple to navigate and allows me to listen to local podcasts on my Pixel Watch 3. However, I am experiencing a weird bug where once I start playing a podcast, there seems to be no way to exit the playback screen and return to the rest of the app (i.e., to view my other available episodes or download something new). The app remains stuck showing the currently playing podcast, even after force quitting and reopening. Is there any way to exit the now playing screen??

Have the paid version. Needs to fix stability issues. If I try to play podcast, it glitches out the audio and stops. If I play other audio files, it works fine. Was working well some months ago but now it's unusable. If it is fixed then I will update this review.

Only Android Wear autonomous podcast app, and I'm happy to have it. the interface is pretty nice, but has some quirks: it quits a lot; it's sometimes difficult to click smaller things; downloads often fail and you don't know you're missing several podcasts you thought had auto-downloaded days ago; and just this week the sped-up playback inexplicably stopped working on some podcasts but still works on others. I do love a recent update that i can now download by swiping left on an episode!

I bought a Galaxy Watch primarily to listen to podcasts while running without my phone. This app does the trick. Easy to import my podcast library via OPML, easy to download podcasts for offline seamless listening, I can stream podcasts that aren't downloaded, and I can import audiobook mp3 files and listen to them through my watch. The streaming is a bit buggy and streams will stop frequently but I found it works better if I disconnect from my phone and stream over data or WiFi. Love this app.

Can't see more than 50 episodes of a podcast after adding it. I even tried to adjust the settings to override global episodes allowed and nothing. You can see all the episodes, but as soon as you add them to your list they disappear and only the latest 50 are there I even wasted money on premium. Not with it at all and it's such a terrible app for it to be the only one available for the watch

The app is exactly what I was looking for. Running phone free!!!!! I purchased the premium version. Is there a way to setup a list of podcasts that when updated will download and only keep the most recent entry? I bought and created one playlist, but need some help in setting it up. I would like to be able to achieve without having to download each individual podcast. Any suggestions?

The developer is picking up Google's slack and producing one of two podcasts apps that let you download podcasts to the watch. My only two annoyances: 1) It is impossible to load episodes of some podcasts that are too old. You'd think this would be a deal breaker, but I have no other options. 2) The dev certainly deserves compensation, I'd pay $5-$10 once, but I'm not paying per year to unlock arguably basic features. Even with the dev's substancial and appreciated efforts to update the app.

Downloads frequently fail. Issues with the UI: There's no way to access subscriptions from the watch, and it's hard to find them in the app. For some reason you can add the same podcast multiple times. Doesn't keep track of which episodes you've already listened to. There are only a some of the most recent episodes of the podcast available, not all.

A very promising app, but doesn't scale. After ~40 podcastsI could no longer manually sort them. The bottom ones could sort, but the top ones wouldn't. I also had problems with the "Podcasts" tab sometimes not showing after I added a lot of podcasts. I moved some over to the "Watchlist". Now the "Watchlist" won't load. It is also killing my phone battery. It's used 30% of my battery with 8 minutes of screen time and 26 background time. I really want to use this but it doesn't work.
