More About Wargame Constructor

Wargame Constructor is a customizable turn-based wargame. You can play the scenarios that come included, adjust them, or completely construct your own scenarios including maps, units and victory conditions.
You can build scenarios on any scale to mimic historical battles or anything that your imagination dreams up.

To play, you give your units move/attack/defend 'orders' with an easy to use interface. Then when complete, simply 'end your turn'. The AI takes over and issues orders to each of the enemy units. When the AI finishes, the game engine executes both sets of orders and lets you view the results as they happen. You then get a chance to review the results and issue orders again for the next turn.

The game completes when one side achieves it's 'victory conditions', which is usually the taking of one or more locations on the map.

The app's included scenarios are ready to play (either side)...all of them built just using the Wargame Constructor app.

With so few features as far as game types go, you'll be bored after a week at most. Constructing your own wargames is tedious and boring, with your only "game mode" being a Capture The Flag type of game. The pre-made scenarios are made far too easy by this feature, as in order to win all the player needs to do is sit his forces on a flag to capture it, and this makes it too easy to win and completely removes any form of strategy or tactics. More game modes required.

The game is amazing considering it is a mobile game, it is free and overall is a good game with a lot of customisability, I just wish he forums worked and that there were unit presets to depict them for eras and places in history, as well as more scenarios, the battle of shiloh cannot be opened and crashes, battles also like to become very messy and often times, units retreat when you want them to hold the line, but overall 4.5

Its a good game, good concept, but it's really annoying at times, the units sometimes do they're own thing and can't be controlled, when I want them to retreat they end up staying and defending but when I want them to defend they end up retreating instead, and also sometimes the units get on top of eachother and I can't select the unit I want to give orders to, also the move button is really buggy and it doesn't make the unit move exactly where I want it to, I'm constantly battling the controls

Fantastic idea for a mobile game kinda badly applied, even though the game is still great! The things that i love anout this game is the infinite possibility of scenarios you can create. What i don't like about it is instead the fact that you can save only 1 scenario, and that you have to do the terrain yourself. I really don't like to cover every small city with the urban terrain. Anyways, it's still a great game that has a lot of potential, nice work on it, cya-

A very interesting system and a nice UI, it's a bit clunky on phones though and would be better suited for PC. I feel it could be improved with additional visual cues for artillery firing as I struggle to see the effect artillery has on my battles. Either way, I am really enjoying this and creating a sort of campaign mission through the editor. Really though bring a paid version of this to steam or something it is unpolished but it is something I've wanted for a while.

The game is awesome. I finally found what I was looking for a very long period of time. But somehow, the further you play the game... the more it gets boring, I recommend adding battle music to make it even more interesting and satisfying. In addition, create more scenarios for more experiences. However, I'll give this a 5 so I can give a hand on improving the game and to make it popular.

It's great and overall good, but irritating that the sandbox is behind a paywall. Most get this game specifically for the sandbox, not to play the missions. While you can still make a mission you can't save it and once you start/finish you can't edit the mission and must start over with another.

It's a great idea for a game, and it feels like it's trying, but it just falls short. The gameplay is hard to follow because of the lack of clear feedback from combats. I want to know . Another issue is that the AI pays no attention to victory locations and seems to dog-pile its units at the nearest enemy. Also, I understand the need to monetize, but paying to download scenarios or post on the forum is too much. Maybe rewarded ads instead? I know it's hard to make a game and you have my respect.

Like alot of reviews, the game feels unfinished and there needs to be a tutorial on how everything works. You shouldn't have to pay to make your own levels, that just seems dumb, I would understand if the game was popular and.there were alot more features in the game. There should be like a list of specific units that you could put in like what kind of Stryker team is it or what Marine division etc. The game is well done right now and I enjoy it.

when i use newer devices the controls do not work. Like if i want to move, defend, or attack. Other than that,it is a great game. you can make many senario's, rangeing from BC era combat to modren combat. The animation is ok, but there is no noise, maybe if you were to add a littie bit of sound customization, for people who want music or gunfire, or sword battle or artillary etc. I wish that you could have AI ally's, and maybe even more mode than capture the flag.like spec ops or multiplayer md

While not graphically pleasing (mainly the menu), the game's concept of creating war scenarios is a really cool concept and definitely something that I've been wanting for a while. My only gripe with the game is that it's a bit confusing when it comes to the interface, though it's definitely not a hindrance of the game overall. The use of google maps is also a cool idea. Overall, I'd say improve the graphics and you've got yourself a 5 star review my friend.

Great potential, if you're gonna charge 7 dollars for saving, you should add more special features for the 7 bucks. I think you should add the feature for different Countries, and the countries can join up against other countries or another coalition. The ability to train units would be nice, alongside a resource system.A construction system would be nice too. Alongside major additions this could easily be worth 7 or more dollars.

Really good simulator to pass the time, and although lengthy, scenario editor is fun too, mainly because of the simple ui. An inconvinience i have is there are only 6 simple premade scenarios that are pretty barebones. Its not that they are simple, its that there are only 6 and take 3 minutes to complete. So either pay a dollar to play other peoples battles or make your own. Also, I havent been playing this for long, so I'm not sure if 2+ year intervals for updates is normal. Great game tho 👍

This game has great potential and just needs some fixes. 1. Some units when beaten begin to retreat but instead of going backwards away from the frontline they retreat through it and pass through the enemy units breaking the immersion. 2. There is not a lot of options when it comes to flags so the ability to upload flags from the flag menu would help with that. Other than that the game is great. 3. Adding the ability to delete scenarios would also help.

Lots of planning went into this. Sure the graphics aren't great and getting more scenarios could be easier but it's clear that this is a pretty thorough simulator. I wouldn't bother with changing the graphics but the "public forum" isn't working on Pixel 5 and the fortification system stinks, if one unit digs in at a location then that same location should retain fortifications if the unit returns, or even if the enemy overtakes the position! Air/sea units should not be able to fortify at all.

This game is fantastic, it does require some visual polishing though. The only bad part I come across often is the hitboxes, when ever I split up a division and try to click the flag to select all, it often misses or selects another division. I found it difficult to encircle divisions because how much the ai squirms. And I love it. So it needs better visuals and hitboxes. that's all, I might suggest getting rid of google maps and drawing the maps yourself though. : )

There's two things that really frustrate me about it. 1. Randomly, units will run away from battle without you telling them to. You tell them to go towards the enemy, and they will, until they decide to go the opposite direction. I'm losing battles because the units do this. 2. The app isn't clear about instructions. I sat there for 15 minutes watching tutorials and stuff to figure out how to save and play a scenario I created. Over all, nice game, and fix those and you get five stars.

The game is great, But I have some suggestions. For some reason it's so glitchy when you try to encircle the enemy's army. It's never that smooth and I think it should be fixed to be smooth. There is another glitch too, actually 2 more. When I try to go in Battle of Shiloh it crashed instantly, please get it fixed, And another thing is that When I try to download someone's Senario it never works. It says download, and close. When I click Download nothing happens. Thanks, If you read this...

Tbh, this game is quite fun to play. It's an offline, time-killer that's challenging. I wish there was more missions and variety in this game so it can be more fun to play. Also, there's a few issues I have such as the movement of the units. I wish you can move your troops to your liking instead of it being determined and randomly made as it had me change the movement route over and over until it was perfect. The terrain is mediocre as the unit will be fortified randomly without showing the land

Really needs some tlc, but the premise is really great. The gameplay has the foundations of good, fun strategy, but there's a distinct lack of polish. I feel like certain key features are missing, like an elevation map and better AI. More feedback and information would also be very helpful. I'd also like to see the casualties after the battle to get an idea of how well/poorly I did. A place for people to upload their scenarios would be amazing as well. Overall, not great now, but has potential
