WAMR is the utility you were looking for. With one tool you are able to recover text messages and also any media attachment (pictures, videos, voice notes, audio, animated gifs and stickers)!
All with one app!
HOW IT WORKS
Messages are encrypted on your device so WAMR can't access them directly.
The only solution available is to read them from the notifications that you receive and create a message backup based on your notification history.
When WAMR will detect that a message as been deleted, it will immediately show you a notification!
MEDIA MESSAGES
WAMR will also try to save any media attached to the message and if the sender deletes it, you will receive a notification.
The following media types can be recovered: pictures, videos, animated gifs, audio, voice notes, documents, stickers.
LIMITATIONS
Please be aware that it doesn't exist an official and supported way to recover deleted messages. This is a workaround and may encounter limitations caused by the selected messaging app or even the Android OS:
1) Text messages are recovered by your notifications, therefore, if you have put a chat on silence, or if you are currently watching a message on the messaging app before it's deleted you will not receive a notification so WAMR can't save it! This also obviously means that is impossible to recover notifications/messages before you downloaded this app (so download it quickly!).
2) If messages aren't being saved, it may be caused by Android stopping WAMR. Please remove WAMR from all battery optimization services!
3) WAMR can't save files if they aren't completely downloaded! So if you are offline or you have an unstable connection, or in general if the sender deletes the message containing a media before the messaging app downloads it, WAMR can't do anything to save it.
4) If you aren't using a WiFi connection, some media may not be automatically downloaded by your messaging app because of your settings. You can change this behavior in Messaging app > Settings > Data and storage usage and increase your chances.
Other limitations may be caused by your Android version, or your system language (in particular if it is right-to-left). Please feel free to contact me and submit me any problem so I can try to fix it!
WAMR never collects your private messages or similar. Everything is saved only on your phone, locally.

Very nice App... but it automatically desactives after a while. Highly recommended if you don't want to loose your tchats and voice note

It works well, but we cannot see the deleted voice messages, photos, or video, and I did not like this. I hope you find a solution to this problem. Thank you.

WAMR is good and nice and it helps me to read my friends deleted messages but in this app we can read only text we can't see the photos or voice messages which are sended by my friend

I don't understand what to do when it says it needs access to whatsapp media folder but when I do it says wrong path. What do you expect a user to do when no proper guide is there ! Useless

I can able to save the status. It shows that first saw the status on relative app but still it can't show on WAMR . Not a single status shows in WAMR

I'm an active user with ad free version. Its was all working fine until for some reason they've removed the option to download the status from WhatsApp.

Kindly add black theme as soon as possible. The app interface is mostly white, hurting the eyes very much. Kindly add it, at least for the pro users. Thank You

been using the app for over 2 months. haven't had any bad experience, except for a minor problem. when a voice note gets deleted I can't listen to it. an icon is displayed to indicate it has been deleted but I can't listen to it. I mean the normal voice notes that are recorded, not the ones that are forwarded. that's the only issue I've encountered.

Worst app ever. Alot of ads. On every launch of app you have to watch ads of long time. Irritating app. Not recommended

It's a really good app! Not only does it do a great job at recovering deleted messages, but, you can also go into the app and check on messages without it going read (blue ticked). Overall a great app, my only issue, however, is that sometimes the notifications get scrambled with deleted messages that got recovered, even though that message wasn't deleted. Other than that it's a truly amazing app.

Adds are working perfectly on this app, shame I can't say the same about the application. Almost always when I need to check deleted message in whats app, this application has nothing for me except advertise.

The app suddenly stopped working. No deleted messages, or photos are recovered. Even after reinstalling, it is not working.

I like it. I can read every message deleted. If you are looking for an app to see al the deleted massages this is the best one. There are some things I may improve. For example, to order the messages clearly and not to set them one down the other, I mean, by time groups or different conversations with the same contact. Also, I would like to hear the voice messages that are deleted, I can only play the ones that are send like Audio, but it isn't possible with the regular voice messages. 2 mAdds

When re install due to some glitch.. it removes all the history and started from new...🥲 Can't back up, always shows "Need to restart" Multiple times enable/disable but still showing same result... WORST

Stopped working, it just randomly shuts down, and even if you give it all the permission required to operate on background, it still doesn't work, and sometimes it just ignores chats, and picks few message from each.. Worked before, now it's so unreliable

It just got worse than before. Doesn't even show the deleted messages. Just 2 or 3 messages that I have already read and aren't even deleted. The rest of the whole chat box is just blank. I have restarted over and over nothing works. I would like to give "-5 star". This doesn't even deserve zero! I have had enough of this app! Uninstalled!!!!!!

Used to be good but with latest policies update, audio messages from WA no longer are being recovered. Not to mention the latest version doesn't notify you of deleted messages like before. Will be looking somewhere else

I have been using this app for many years , But as often as this app is updated, So many times there is a deficiency in it. Now the deleted Messages are not sorted in this app and neither is any deleted Voices. That's why giving just 2 Stars for these Errors. Must Fix it Soon as Possible.

I was not expecting that this app will do what i really wanted. I mean that i could see when other people write or send voice note or even videos and pictures and delete all of a sudden and we cannot view those files.. This app shows every deleted stuff. Five stars for the developer. 👏 👏. There is only one issue that it shows adds. Not frequently but it does..
