More About Walmart InHome Delivery

Walmart+ InHome is a new delivery service that gets the to-dos done. InHome uses smart entry technology to let our full-time, safety-trained associates deliver Walmart groceries and household essentials beyond your door. You can either set up your home's own keypad or get a smart device installed by our team to let associates bring in and neatly put away items into your home (even into your fridge). Head to www.walmart.com/plus/inhome to sign up and get started.
How to use Walmart InHome:

• See if your address is eligible, then sign up for InHome membership at www.walmart.com/plus/inhome

• After you've joined, place your order for store delivery in the Walmart app or on Walmart.com and make sure "InHome Delivery" is selected at checkout

• Your first order will arrive at your doorstep, so you can meet our team. Then, schedule an installation of a smart device (or set up your home's keypad) in our app to enable delivery into your home.

Key Features of the Walmart InHome app:

• Customers with devices set up can watch a video recording of every delivery into their home—they're available as soon as 15 minutes after delivery completion, and are watchable for up to a week after

• Get notifications at every step of your delivery—including when your order is on its way to your house and when the delivery has finished

• Meet the InHome associate who'll deliver your groceries

I love Walmart delivery service when done, but there have been many times when the driver will not follow my simple instructions to ring the doorbell once the order has been left at the door. Luckily, Walmart has made it right and refunded all the cold items if left outside too long, but that is a lot of waste.

A largely useless app. It gives very little information about orders, doesn't allow any form of communication with the driver, those handling the order, etc., and for most things, it hands off responsibility to the Walmart app, which is better, but not nearly enough. I Home delivery needs a lot of work and this app would be a good place to start. EDIT {07/05/2073) Now the app keeps insisting that I update it but there are no updates available. Less than useless.

Greatest thing ever!!! I always have the same 2 delivery people they so kind and helpful. My orders are 98% of the time correct any mistakes are always corrected or reimbursed. I could not be happier. Plus, the extra $7 a month is a super deal considering I tip more than that with 1 order, let alone 3 at least I get a month.

Once I realized that Walmart+ and Walmart InHome were two different services that charged 2 different fees, I wanted to CANCEL the In-Home service (that charges $7.00 + tax per month). I don't need THIS service at all, because nobody coming up in my apartment, when I'm not home. I haven't been able to cancel it from the app, so now they have started charging me. Guess I better try & get them by phone. The regular Walmart delivery service (for $12.95/month) is fine with me..

I love Walmart in home delivery, it gives me more time to spend with my family after work. The in home delivery is tip free but if u need something delivered at a more specific time, you can choose to have your delivery via doordash which does ask for tip. For the most part I barely ever have missing items but when I do, I get no hassle from customer service for a refund. I've completely given up on going to the grocery store, bc of the convienence besides I get distracted easily in the store.

ninety-five percent of the time the orders are on time and what I ordered. every now and then there is a mistake or they're running late or don't deliver it at all however in the three years I've been using them it's only happened twice. sometimes they have substitutions for items that you ordered as well, but I like that they allow you to choose whether you want the item substituted or not

So far, I am enjoying the In Home delivery, though I still get door delivery. I have the option to change. I upgraded to eliminate the tip w/each delivery. It added up fast. So "In home" is cheaper for me. Free shipping on less than $35 buy helps me to ship little gifts to my nieces 🥰 for good reports and such. I had a few serious problems with the W+ delivery. They should be eliminated since "In Home" service drivers use Walmart trucks, not their own cars. 4⭐'s, need more time to give 5 ⭐'s.

Amazing service. I've been using Walmart grocery delivery and Walmart+ since pre-pandemic. It's a huge time saver to not shop via app and groceries brought right to me. Now this service solves that issue. I pay $40 more a year and I don't have to tip and I have the piece of mind of having an actual Walmart employee bring my groceries. 3 of the last 4 times were the same person so no more deliveries to wrong house and no more tipping so I actually save money. I'm sold totally worth it!!

I've been on trial with InHome for maybe 2 weeks. before my car broke, I'd go to Walmart maybe 2 -3 times a day. I have a shopping addiction. At least I can admit that. but now I do my grocery deliver with Walmart + and I like it. The InHome im really Loving. No Tip! I know that sounds selfish, but I order almost everyday and $7 a day adds up.I still tip,it's respectful. but I always have to adjust my budget to make the $35 minimum purchase and tip fit my spending budget to last the week.

It crashes a lot, I barely ever use it. There was an update and I wasn't able to update it on the Google Pixel 7 pro. I actually deleted the app and reinstalled the app. It still doesn't work properly. The timing is off. I'm not sure if it's just the employee selecting my delivery next within 15 minutes and not arriving over an hour later. Or telling me they'll be here in an hour and they're here in 5-10 minutes. It's been hard to plan with the deliveries after the 4 hr window too.

The service is great, this app is a disaster- it doesn't connect to the main Walmart app even though I'm signed in to both. It also keeps asking me to update it, but it doesn't update. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it, that didn't fix the issue. This has been ongoing and I have yet to see it improve. Again, love the service, no complaints. The app needs work.

The service is beneficial for elderly and disabled or those who truly cannot get to a Walmart for a grocery pickup. The 4 hour delivery window basically makes your day a complete wash. The app itself is pretty useless since it redirects you to the main Walmart grocery app anyways. Many improvements need to be made for InHome to be useful for the average shopper and worth the monthly expense.

In Home is a pointless add-on. For an extra $40, you get nothing because there's never an available time free. I've used it exactly twice since it started because there's never a slot and one of those times, delivery FAILED bc the driver lied and said delivery attempted, then Walmart automatically converted it to a pickup order. Furthermore, I'm getting impatient with W+ bc they're not including any "soon" timeslots in the service so they can nickel-and-dime me with additional $5 & $10 fees.

Flawless. No tip, no deliver fees. Groceries come well packaged, so cold things stay cold, hot things stay hot, meats come packaged separately, and they are kept in a cooler. Nothing is riding around in the back of someone's hot car or trunk, sliding around getting smashed or mixed up with someone else's order. Groceries arrive in a four hour window of your choosing. They even help put them up or put them up completely. excellent for seniors or handicapped individuals. Great for busy people.

This is a very nice service and reasonably priced. The delivery people are great and on time. The only problem I see is that when I bought it, it was called "tip-free". Now they are asking for tips. I assumed that Walmart was compensating their delivery people fairly. I will continue to treat it as tip-free and hope Walmart compensates their delivery people properly so tips are not required. selling it as tip-free and then asking for tips seems like a bait and switch operation to me.

This is solely based on the app, not the service. The service is great. The app is clunky and not super useful. Most every event clicked brings you to the Walmart app or url, unless it's directly related to the mode of your delivery. Help chat? You go thru 2 peeps, who then gets you to 3rd, who is the WM+ "specialist". Why? Because this app help takes you to WM app help rather than route you directly to the WM+ "specialist". Who doesn't love telling their problem story 3 times?

I guess it's okay if you truly need someone to bring your groceries inside. However the very concept seems like a liability hazard (imo). This paid add-on advertises as ”tip-free” and "fee-free" but there is still a fee when ordering below the $35 minimum just as with the regular membership. If I'm paying additional for the add-on, at least give me the benefit of ABSOLUTELY no fees. I thought that's what I was getting.

it's wonderful! I am on a low income budget plus I have a 2yo so taking her to groceries just isn't in the cards for me, so we usually go without or have to order take out. This saves us so much time, I don't have to fo to the store and pick out my groceries they do it and they will even put it up for you I mean I can't be that lazy if I'm home but geezze. and there's no pressure to tip and no cost for picking not delivery I mean amazon doesn't even have that.

Walmart delivery and in home delivery are both fantastic in terms of getting the actual items. I'm just not convinced InHome is worth another $40. Not having to tip is a great feature (not a huge fan of tipping - employers should pay a real wage not low balled for tips). However there is still a fee if below minimum $35 order. Getting rid of that fee would in my mind be the biggest reason to have an add on like InHome. I don't want my groceries put away by someone else, so I dont use that.

Just awful. App keeps asking me to update even though I just downloaded it! Uninstalled, tried again, same result. Figured I'd give the process a shot anyway: clicked in on groceries and this app immediately sent me to the main Walmart app. There was no option anywhere to select "In-home delivery" -- only delivery option from the store was the standard one I've been using for 4 years. Customer "service" via forever-wait on the phone couldn't help. Cancelled it. Don't bother with this, really.
