I have had this app for years and used to pay for premium, but in the last few months, the app has done nothing but crash: won't load photos, won't save edits, won't import it export, freezes my phone. I stuck with it because I loved the app so much, but I uninstalled today when trying to import a photo crashed my entire phone and corrupted my SD card. Thought it might just be my phone, but seems like this is the case for so many other reviewers. :(

I've been using VSCO for years, but I've been getting frustrated with their continued lack of effort on their android app. Entirely missing things the iOS version has for no good reason. I've been a VSCO X member for a long time, but their editing tools are just getting too outdated. Tones can only be adjusted one direction. No clarity slider. Most tools have a limited range they can be adjusted vs standards like Lightroom. I love VSCO, but until they start taking themselves more seriously I'm giving three stars.

I've used this app for YEARS. I'm actively searching for better apps than the garbage that it has turned into. Recently, I can't even open it without it crashing. VSCOs solution to just contact their problem solvers does not do anything. They desperately need an update to fix all the bugs. I cannot import a photo, edit a photo, or even download a photo without the app crashing and overheating my phone. My phone is completely updated. VSCO fix your problems.

VSCO is now taking AWAY features that it has always had as a free part of the app, and forcing users to pay for those basic editing features. It's one thing to release New features for the paid version, but it's a really scummy move to take features away from the free portion that the users have enjoyed for years. That's a good way to lose a massive amount of app users. I will be looking for a new photo editing app that has more basic free features.

Subscriber here. I loved this app :( But it's been getting more and more bloated and buggy on my Nokia 7.2. I loved it for its granular control, UI, and speed, but today I'm in a place where I can't even import photos — *all* of the suggested fixes don't work. Not to mention the crashing and gallery display bugs. And its a real shame, because this is a quality tool at it's core. But I fear "feature-creep" is setting in and quality is now a secondary priority :(

I've used vsco for over 7 years and have absolutely loved it. However, they recently moved a bunch of previously free tools and filters (that I've used on a weekly basis for years) to premium only. Like really basic editing tools and my most used filter. I'm very frustrated and disappointed, as vsco has been my favorite photo editing app up until this point. Now there's hardly anything you can use for free. I will be finding another app to use.

Used to love this app. I used to pay $20 per year for the premium subscription, and they raised itto $30/year or $7/month. You can no longer save your edits to your phone with the free version, which I think is crossing the line. I am canceling my membership and switching to the Lightroom app (which is FREE). There are plenty of other apps that can do exactly the same thing. Oh, and by the way, even when I did pay the $7/month my video edits wouldn't download to my phone. So, this is a scam.

Great photo editing app overall. Free plan isn't too bad if you aren't picky. The UI is a bit unforgiving for me though; when browsing through my gallery, if I want to click on a picture and then go back to view more, VSCO automatically takes me back to the top of the gallery and then I'd have to scroll all the way down to view again. I also tried the free trial, which was short-lived. I gave my card info and confirmed when the free trial would end, but VSCO won't let me try the features. Weird

Don't get me wrong, I love this app. Its a phenomenal experience to use and produces high quality edits. However, their customer service is truly lacking. I recently purchased the premium membership, but it will not allow me activate it. The "troubleshooting guide" is very little help and does not solve this issue, nor does this app provide any one on one help with issues.

As far as editing goes, VSCO is phenomenal. For both and video, it features powerful editor that has always been my go to for quick edits on my phone. Performance and reliability is where the issues lie. Features like cropping and straightening have stopped working, the gallery regularly displays the wrong thumbnails for images I import, and any video I edit exports at an unusable 16fps. Unfortunately, there isn't much support can do for you other than say they're aware of all the problems.

App has been broken for several months now. Freezes, displays wrong thumbnails, some images randomly are uneditable, and imports of new photos sometimes load old photos. It's a shame, because this has been my favorite editing app for years, and it's just breaking down now. In fact this is the first time I've ever been compelled to write an app review, that's how frustrating this is.

I've used this app for years and loved it. Finally installed the update thinking it would be great. It's the worst update ever! You guys are trying WAY too hard to be a 'community' wishing to rival Instagram and it's intolerable. Everything is geared towards posting in the VSCO feed. It is no longer intuitive. It is now frustratingly counterintuitive! I came to VSCO for the photography app and I'm leaving because of the 'community'. This is definitely the beginning of the end for VSCO.

Love the high quality camera and the large selection of filters and editing features to make professional photos! However, when it comes to exporting my finished edits, there are many irritating technical difficulties. My camera roll receives the original photo before it was edited, rather than the finished edit. The deleting feature is fickle as well. When I select a photo to delete it, the thumbnail changes to another photo, and I get confused on what image I'm actually deleting. Please fix.

I'm having a horrible experience right now. I've been using vsco for all my editing/photography and always shot in RAW and NEVER had a problem editing them on this app. Now all of a sudden I am having import issues and its really irritating because I pay a yearly subscription and haven't been able to edit my photos in over a month. Please fix this issue because I really enjoy VSCO!!!!

I used to really love this app. Couple oversights: 1) Android version: studio imported pictures don't show up if you move phones. And there is no way to do this manually. All the help files are garbage and a waste of time. I've wasted hours trying to figure it out. 2) I take thousands and thousands of photos. I usually edit in batch. The import feature doesn't let you scroll with a side bar to quickly navigate to the date. You have to tap tap tap scroll and see every single photo wasting time.

I got VSCO back when it was more about the editing and less about social media. Now everything is about memberships. You can only have access to just about everything if you're a member. Disappointing. I miss the VSCO that cared about artistry and not how much money they can make. The social media interface isn't user friendly either. Don't recommend. Get Photoshop instead if you really care about photography. This is an app for people who want to make their photos great for Instagram! Pass.

Once again, the app is getting buggy out of now where. It was good for a while until the recent updates. I was hoping it'd be fixed but it hasn't. I would describe them but... There's so much. Images being duplicated, the same image being saved twice when I click to save one, random photos constantly being imported right when I open the app without me even inputting anything, etc.....

The UI can be confusing and the entire layout can be hard of getting used to. The camera itself is very, very basic BUT does produce quality images when the lighting and everything in frame are perfect. And unless you're a paying subscriber, there just aren't enough features & filters offered overall. There's better apps out there with more to offer, for free...

I love the edits on this app, I've been using it for a very long time. The thing that bothers me is that every month or so there's another error that makes it almost unusable. Despite reviews I've posted in the past, the problem stays. I can't export any photos to any programs. This is extremely frustrating. Fix it please. - UPDATE - Still very frustrated with the app. Great edits, but it hasn't opened on my Android in over a week. Just a black screen and then a close out over and over again

Honestly a great way to express your creativity and artistic abilities. The only semi dislike I have is how it can be a little confusing or difficult to post your image of vid of. However, this drawback doesn't make it severely bad at all, in fact this is one of my favorite sharing apps to make art with especially since you don't really find as good of quality like this for cheap.
