First time using Vrbo. I spent hours finding the perfect cabin for my girlfriend and I to stay in. I went to book 2 nights at $640 total for my selected dates, it said there was an error after I put my payment in so I tried it a few times thinking I had mistyped something by mistake. Then I checked my account to see that I was charged over $900 several times. Then I looked again to re-book and the rate was $807 total?? Called customer service and was not able to look into it at all. Went to bnb.

Considering that most people probably use the mobile app to interact with VRBO, you would think the app would be more mobile friendly. The ability to share properties with your group via text message, using the share button, should be easy. The whole app is very glitchy right now. Like the view payment part is barely legible. (Too dim). Love VRBO. Just don't love the app, as it is now.

Barely functional now. The change to 'One Key' has really destroyed the user friendliness the app once had. Sharing doesn't work properly and trying to navigate anywhere in the app sends you back to the 'One Key' home page at which point you have to click on VRBO in the footer to get back to the actual app and start completely over because it dumps everything you were searching or reload your trip to try and find the property you were looking at. Twice I just gave up & went with AirBnB instead

I am trying to look at all my saved properties, but it just goes to trips, and then tells me I have no bookings. I CANNOT book if you don't let me see my saved properties. My friends and I go on trips a couple times a year and I have a bunch of rentals I wish to see so I can actually pick a property to stay. very disappointed. GalaxyNote20 I tried using a desktop, and I have to reload the website after every property I click on, or it doesn't let me see if place is available on wanted dates.

I've used VRBO for years without issue. But this merge with Expedia has been a HUGE detriment to this site/app and has made the user experience ridiculously frustrating. Couple examples, won't save info so I have to enter log in info on the app every single use, my inbox routinely glitches out and I can't access messages, the map just won't load vs list ... literally every time I use the app something goes wrong. Such a shame. Used to be such a great platform.

App has been really bad since the major update this year. Constantly crashes out to homepage when selecting 'check availability' among other random crashes. Seems like they got rid of all the made for app pages and replaced them with mirrored webpages, but lost all of the functionality. Seems cheap and rushed. I've gone back to using airbnb solely bc this app is so hard to use now.

App currently unusable. Anytime I use the app I keep getting asked for human verification. Once I complete the verification (successfully), the verification pops back up as soon as the page reloads. This happens when I click on a listing link and just from starting the app. I've reinstalled the app, cleared the cache, restarted my phone. Problem persists.

This app is .... junk. Logging in is a nightmare, app locks you onto a login screen from which you cannot exit, sends you a login code that you may receive after it expires, and sends one even though you try to login using a password. Texting a property owner is broken, too. Sometimes it shows your booked trip properties, sometimes not. C'mon IT coders get it together here. We must be able to rely on this app while on the road.

Vrbo is now the only app we will book through. What you find is what you get. It is safe, reliable and affordable. Vrbo is the app to look on if you're ever going on vacation or just a one night retreat. Every time we book through Vrbo, we get the best results and it does not trick you into any other fees. What you see at the end is what you pay. Definitely worth booking through!

This app doesn't like to share.. trying to plan a trip with some friends and every time we try to share a rental, It won't let us look at it. Just takes us to the places and dates screen and not the cabins. Very frustrating. We've tried Facebook messenger, texting, email, even Snapchat.. about done with this app. And yes we all have the verbo app. It just won't work!!

The app sucks, it doesn't keep you signed in and constantly kicks you out of it, even while you are using it. Click off on accident? Signed out.. super frustrating when I'm trying to check messages! Also I know most rental apps do this but I think is stupid I can't get a refund or some sort of compensation when your vehicle breaks down on the way to your reservation. I guess this is just not for me.

Great locations and places, 100% unable to share links with anyone. Just wants whoever clicks on the link to redownload the app (even if already installed) and then shows a start from scratch booking page. Trying to use this app and share links to places with others is a nightmare. This has been the case for years. Great idea, garbage app.

Exclusively used VRBO app for 5+ years. Ever since the expansion with Expedia and hotelsdotcom I cannot login on the app. I must go to my laptop and attempt to research and book. This has been months of an issue. May 10, update. All apps are up to date, everything is up to date. Can finally login but cannot get passed the "unlock more benefits with one key" page. I've clicked get started so many times.

Lots of errors. I accidentally booked a trip without logging in, under a different email than my account. Now I'm stuck with 2 accounts, no way to combine them, and switching back and forth completely breaks the app. Everything I try to do now just gives error messages. And to make things worse, trying to open vrbo in a browser automatically switches to the broken app. Now the only way to access either account from my phone is to delete the app so I can access it in the browser

The online booking is better. The app resets my filters every time I move the map while searching for a rental. You would think communicating would be better with an app, but you can get canceled with no notification after receiving a confirmation. In an app, I should have a place to PERMANENTLY set a few key items, such as NO apartments, townhouses, condos, a max rate and NO management companies.

Updating review to 4 stars, would be 5 if I were able to search for specific listings by name, instead of typing in the name and being forced to search a specific street in another state with the same name. Hard to filter results and find exactly what matches your needs. For the 1 star previously, it seemed to be a server-wide issue: Will not let me book, payment issues, connectivity issues, difficulty saving listings. Tried different cards, different listings. Issues with everything.

I tried to report technical issues via support chat and eventually gave up due to their utter incompetence. There is an error in the workflow for cancelled stays, leading to requests for review. The email that comes out requesting review contains a technical error, so you can't reply to it. Asked for escalation twice, and "support" refused to escalate.

Vrbo double booked me in a rental that wasn't available then double charged me for said rental. I was partially refunded on 1 charge but when I called to straighten out the situation they acted like they couldn't see it from their end. So I'm stuck paying 400 dollars for a rental I didn't even get to stay in. Customer service was terrible and I'm getting ripped off. Save yourself time and money and go somewhere else!

Update 5/26/24: Now I can sign in, but the ability to add attachments to my messages with the owners has ceased. It came back one day, but then disappeared again. Consistency of the app would be nice. Original comment: VRBO has me stuck in a cycle of signing in. I can no longer see my future reservations. Shame it had to change after One Key.

Not sure when the issue happened, but I think it was likely around incorporating the "One Key" I've found the the app is unreliable and I'm unable to even "sign in" as I keep being asked to sign in just to get into my inbox. I can't even modify my existing reservation because I keep getting asked to sign in and it seems to be stuck in a loop.
