Ive been having problems with the Verification process with this and the Secure Go app. It does not load, as a result the time expires and i have to do the process all over again.. and the "Help" option has no solution to this specific issue. :(

I think the app is an improvement over the last app. What I am missing is a way to better analyse income and expense categories (e.g. estimate of monthly expenses for tax, etc.). This would allow to avoid using additional external apps. Update: The app now added some cost categories that are assigned automatically. The automatic categorisation is really bad and there is no option to adjust it. Additionally I would like a report that uses these categories to shows monthly/yearly statistics.

They fixed a lot of UI problems over the last year's. Last thing they could do better is the way you need to interact with the bank advisor. We are in 2024 and i do not like having to have this form/email style back and forth while chat would be way more effective

Constantly asking me for activation code and not letting me have access to my bank account. Worst banking system I have ever used.

Despite of its importance and being connected to all kinds of personally identifying fallback methods, you may eventually typo your password one too many times and be locked out for the entire weekend without warning. Their service hotline isn't available on weekends either. Wouldn't be half as much of a hassle if they weren't closing down all their ATMs. My partner is having a lot of trouble with their support, or lack thereof, as well. Features aren't made available as easily as they could be.

I keep having issues trying to log in, it was much simpler and more effective on the classic version. Now I keep getting asked to confirm the log in request with secure go, which does open up automatically thankfully but secure go just shows me that I don't have an internet connection, which I did. Since it is required to confirm the request via secure go I just simply can't get in right now

Easy to use, works flawlessly with the secure payment verification app, and allows for many online banking options and settings. Never had a problem with it.

This newest app is certainly better experience than the last one. It's still painfully slow sometimes, and some of the features are violently German (I need to give permission to almost everything in multiple windows), but overall I've gotta say good job! I actually don't mind doing the transfers now, unlike the previous one, which made me wanna throw my phone into the wall every time I've opened it.

User unfriendly and buggy. A password is called an authentication code here, which makes no sense. When you make a transfer, you get forwarded through many windows and it's absolutely unclear what's happening and how many times I have to insert my password or authenticate myself before the transfer is done. Sometimes the transfer has been done successfully, but the app still shows an error. Nothing personal, but the Deutsche Bank app is much more intuitive and visually appealing.

Used to be with Volksbank years ago, but the app was clunky, slow and you had TAN nonsense to deal with. Since then, wow. So much better. Biometrics for login, authenticator app for transactions, hell it even adds up your minuses - no more maths to work out how much you have! (I'm not German clearly, I'm from the UK so I'm used to instant transactions and immediate banking updates - I'm just quite excited to see Germany reach 2009 technology. Instant free payment transfers won't be long now!)

It works very well, and I feel secure using it. Some features are hard to locate, and I wish there was a language option.

i have two banking apps and another one belongs to a big german bank Commerzbank. So I am comparing two banking apps and I prefer the VB so much more. It is truly a nice developed app and it makes me happy when I use it. Truly satisfied.

Obtaining new passwords for the banking app is very complicated for me, and I have a research level degree - the process is even impossible for my Deutsche Frau who works as a university biostatistician in computer science. The bank will send you letters with incorrect and/or absent instructions. The app requests an activation but doesn't send you one. PIN is renamed Actual PIN. Then you have to apply for another password which they send by post. I can offer further consultation for a fee.

after several attempts to send money ( Überweisung)over mobile application - with no success as over VR Secure Go each time was ok, while money was not transferred I go to bank to figure out and problem wasn't solved. Later I got email to reinstall App, which I performed, while now on it even worse - I need each time put all data like BIC , vrpasskey and Pin and after VR Secure Go approval, VR Banking reboot and ask me do the same...🤯 P.S. VR SecureGo was reinstalled as well. Samsung S21+

Not bad overall, but I'm missing a possibility to use a previous transfer as the basis for a new one without having to create a template. In my other banking app I can just select a transfer and click "transfer again". Then I can change the amount or description and I'm done.
