This company started off with the right plan and support. The app has gone totally USELESS! I am so dissapointed in the lack of response and complete non-existent customer support or service. I am CALCELLING my service and porting to another. What happened? It doesn't indicate any incoming calls. 2023 and the app on android has bugs and fails most of the time. Very unreliable. VONAGE has no interest in customer support. I'm switching to another IP service.

I'm a new Vonage user and initially thought this would be a good app to have. As advertised it does ring my cell phone on all incoming calls. After two days of this, I could not find out how to shut this feature off. The help was of no value since the symbol it said to press did not exist. A further issue was the permissions log on my cell phone indicated the app accessed the microphone and camer several times a day. Consequently I do not trust its security. I uninstalled it after 2 days.

Dreadful. None of the call forwarding features work reliably. Often only my cellphone will ring (Vonage landline doesn't ring at all) and if I answer the call on my cell, the caller usually cannot hear me. I can always hear them, but they hear nothing. It's embarrassing since I use Vonage for my small business. I have to switch off the simul-ring/forwarding services when I'm home to try to ensure the call at least reaches the landline phone. Really poor service. Very disappointed.

It works OK except it doesn't always, when looking for someone's number, give you a choice of the numbers recorded. Some time it does and some time it doesn't. The application was improved to fix the bug I reported in the above. With the International Plan you can call over half of the world land line numbers. I have traveled Internationally and if you have a solid WIFI connection you can use the Vonage Home Extensions application to call back to the USA and Canada at no extra charge.

So it appears that people have been complaining about the incompatibility with Galaxy 10 for about 5 months now, yet nothing seems to have changed. You would think that this would be a priority for their developers. Too bad I didn't read these reviews before complaining to Samsung. One important note that I can make to those upgrading their phone, DO NOT ALLOW SOFTWARE UPDATES to your new phone. When I first got the phone, the app still worked perfectly, but once I got to about the 2nd or 3rd update, the app went wonky! So, developers, take note, it's something in one of the android software updates that is causing the bug in your software. Well, I hope they fix this soon before I drop their service, because not being able to answer phone calls makes this a completely useless service for me.

If you use Business Essentials on your mobile as well the latest update (for home extensions) won't call out from Vonage home because it defaults to the Business Essentials app. So it's now useless. Basically you can't make calls from your Vonage home number with your cell phone if you also use Vonage Business app on the same phone. Didn't do this before. Update seems to work now. Still won't text out.

Vonage Extensions is Terrible, Terrible, Terrible. This app does not allow for phone calls linger than 60 seconds on Android. This problem has happened on every single incoming call for the past 3 months on two diggerent phomes. One phone is a s8 & one is an s9. Both phones have 5 bars of 4g service when in the city. At gome we have a 1 gig internet connection. The customer service agent tried to tell me is because I have a poor internet connection and that is totally not true. When I have a 1 gig internet connection and also 4 and 5 bars when in the city and not at my house with 4G very reliable service I do not have poor service but rather this is happening on multiple different phones and only on the Vonage app from extensions. When I use any other apps such as Skype or Google Messenger or Facebook Messenger the connection is very strong and never drops. I do not suggest anyone use the Vonage Extensions as it is a poor and unreliable service and they need to fix their app as it is something that I would never recommend to anyone. I lose money if I use this out and service.

This app worked great on my old Samsung S7, but it's almost useless on my Pixel 3. I now see see that it's been posted numerous times that calls are difficult and often impossible to answer on newer Android phones. I now need to manually log in and open the app and when I do, there is no ANSWER button, only an END button. This has apparently been reported for months, but the Vonage service rep acted as though this was all new information. I may need to look for a new VOIP provider.

It gives me a way to make free calls when out of state or even out of country. It's not 100% reliable. Occasionally a call will disconnect or not connect on the first try. Quality of audio is good most times but can cut out. I honestly don't know if it's the app or the internet connection though. Overall it's good enough to keep using while away from home. If it was my daily driver I'd be looking for something better...

Great that you only have to give out one number. However, I have to start each call with "I'm sorry, this app is going to drop the call." Notifications don't always come thru, so occasionally a call is missed. Call info is not always recorded, so calling a dropped call back is not always possible if they are not in your contacts.

Flimsy app. Not all functions work, for example, when set to dial out from Vonage number, mobile number still goes out. When contacting Vonage for help via email, instead of reading and addressing my questions, a pre-written, generic form letter was sent that had nothing to do with my questions. Playing voice messages is cumbersome, not working. Have tried on wifi and cellular. It does, however, properly ring my mobile device when I receive a call on Vonage. Would love this app if worked.

This app is defo one of the best voice over ip apps on the market right now! I enjoy having my smartphone ring if I am away from home as I can pick up those calls on the run. The big limitation is imposing a limit on the amount of phone numbers you can block though! I hope this will change soon because there is a huge increase in spam calls these days, these calls are all unfiltered through Vonage which means a whole lot of unwanted phone calls that can't be blocked. We need this feature asap!

Works but one big problem. On my Nexus 5x, it does not lock the screen, so while you have the phone against your ear, all kinds of settings are changed. Big flaw. Why don't you fix it? The app has not been updated for over 1 year. SEP 2019. App no longer works with the release of Android 10. Phone rings but App does not open. If you open it manually while the call is ringing, there is no way to answer the call. I've contacted Vonage repeatedly via Chat , phone and email without any valid response.

I'd have given it a 5. It's a great app. It has been working great. I love this app. but out of a sudden it stopped working I Uninstalled and reinstalled and still not working. Unless the app is down. I hope they fix it. It says: "an error occurred while accessing Home Account, please try again later." It's been 2 days like that. Once they fix this the app robs really good. I love it.

Nice app! I ran into a few minor hiccups setting it up, mostly caused by the installer (ME :-\). But it works Great!!! Highly Recommend. Update (1/2020): Recently installed Android 10 on my OnePlus 6t and now I'm unable to answer incoming calls with this app. I've uninstalled/re-installed it with and without Customer Service help, and have yet to resolve this issue. Others are having the same problem. TOTALLY FRUSTRATING!!!

I had Vonage from the time they started. The voice quality and connection stability was never very good but because i made frequently international calls and traveled a lot it was worthwhile (especially as it used to be reasonably priced). Now they are not cheap anymore and most phone companies have cheaper services (if you even need this kind of service anymore). I still kept the service longer than I should have. After my vonage extension app started to give me problems, I finally canceled.

Service set to simultaneously ring home and mobile, and my cell phone rings about 60% of the time and home phone about 90%. Very rarely do they both ring at the same time. More often the mobile only rings once then disappears. Also since recent update if I'm making a call I can't do it on speaker phone until the other party picks up, not useful at all. Now my phone updated to Android 14, if I'm on a call and check another app such as email or messages the call automatically disconnects.
