More About VNeID
Ứng dụng VNeID có giá trị sử dụng thay thế các giấy tờ truyền thống, định danh công dân trên môi trường kỹ thuật số, cung cấp các tiện ích phát triển công dân số, chính phủ số, xã hội số, giúp công dân khai báo y tế và khai báo di chuyển nội địa một cách nhanh chóng. Ngoài ra ứng dụng giúp Cơ quan chức năng truy vết các ca lây nhiễm COVID-19 thứ phát và thông báo cho người dân kịp thời.
Quyền truy cập: Khi sử dụng Ứng dụng, Người dùng đồng ý cho phép ứng dụng có quyền truy cập các chức năng sau:
(1) Truy cập vào Internet từ thiết bị người dùng
(2) Truy cập camera để quét mã QRcode trên thẻ CCCD giúp rút ngắn thời gian nhập các thông tin cơ bản của Công dân và quét QRcode tại điểm quét để khai báo di chuyển, y tế nhanh chóng.
(3) Truy cập vào Ảnh, video, âm thanh và tệp trên thiết bị để lưu trữ ảnh QRcode phục vụ việc kiểm tra khi đi qua các chốt kiểm soát của công dân.
(4) Gửi thông báo tới thiết bị của người dùng.
Thu thập thông tin cá nhân: Người dùng nhập liệu, khai báo thông tin về y tế di chuyển nội địa hoặc khai báo hộ người khác với sự cho phép và đồng ý cung cấp thông tin của người đó. Thông tin cá nhân bao gồm: Họ và tên, Số điện thoại, Căn cước công dân, Giới tính, Năm sinh, Địa chỉ thường trú, Quốc tịch, tình trạng sức khoẻ, nơi đi, nơi đến, phương tiện biển số và tình trạng tiếp xúc với những người nhiễm COVID-19. Tất cả những thông tin thu thập đều được sự cho phép của người dùng bằng cách nhập vào các biểu mẫu và gửi cho chúng tôi.
Người dùng tự chịu trách nhiệm về năng lực hành vi trong việc sử dụng, nhập liệu thông tin.
Bảo vệ sự riêng tư và bản quyền: Dữ liệu của người dùng sẽ được lưu trữ và bảo mật bởi Trung tâm Dữ liệu quốc gia về dân cư, Bộ Công an và chỉ sử dụng phục vụ công tác phòng chống dịch COVID 19, giúp bảo vệ sức khoẻ và phòng chống dịch bệnh, tuyệt đối không sử dụng vào mục đích thương mại, không xâm phạm đời tư. Dữ liệu có thể được chia sẻ với Cơ quan y tế và cơ quan chức năng khác có thẩm quyền nhằm phục vụ tốt hơn công tác phòng chống dịch bệnh COVID 19.
Ngoài các mục đích trên, đơn vị phát triển ứng dụng không thu thập, sử dụng thông tin của người dùng vào bất kỳ mục đích gì khác. Và sẽ không tiết lộ bất kỳ thông tin nào có thể gây tổn hại hoặc thực hiện bất kỳ hành vi bất hợp pháp nào về quyền riêng tư của người dùng theo luật pháp Việt Nam hoặc chính sách của ứng dụng.
- Không thu thập vị trí: VNeID không thu thập dữ liệu về vị trí của bạn.
- Ẩn danh: Mọi người tham gia cộng đồng ẩn danh với những người khác. Chỉ cơ quan có thẩm quyền mới có thể biết những người nhiễm và người nghi nhiễm do tiếp xúc gần với người nhiễm COVID-19 và thực hiện truy vết.

Update Jan 21 2023: ok, so now the nfc function finally works, i gave it 3 star first. I basically logged out of my account, i reset my phone, the only way for me to get in is to scan for the nfc, but the app crash right after i click on scan nfc... What am i supposed to do? No hotline, no email to support whatsoever. Update: 24 Dec 2022, after the support team said that the app was updated, I tried again, and still, app crash right when I choose NFC function. Still can not login.

Annoy methods when changing device. I am a lvl2 certified. My old phone got broken. When i log in on new device it sent otp to my old one without any other option. Stupid!!! P.s: they allow to scan the ID card by NFC in recent update, but the app crash when using this feature. I wonder if they have their app to be tested in various using scheme? P.s2: in latest update i can scan the nfc chip from the ID card and can log-in the app now. Update from 1 to 2 start

Bad experience. Although this is a national citizen app, it is way too inconvenient and not that useful. When i switched device, the app recognised me as a new one and didn't let me log in. The security is strict for things that doesn't necessary and loose for important stuffs. Even worse, I have to go to the public administration center and do everything all over again to change my device. They claimed the digital id could be used instead of the physical one but many places don't accept this.

Crashed a few time when activating the account as QR cannot be read. Only able to fill up manually. Taking a bit more time to read the chip via phone NFC as well. More about the QR code as it's a bit small. When I was at the bank to update my new ID card (CCCD), the staff there saying sometimes can sometimes cannot read QR code on it.

ask to update, yet nothing up here. slow response to request, long wait time, bad UI/UX, data not sync well with each categories. forced quit on user side when filing, it required time, should allow to disable or extend timer when making report.

Just got my level 2 ID today. The problem I've seen is that since I'm a foreigner, I don't have as many options on the app as my Vietnamese wife does on her app. The User Guide and the Frequently Asked Questions sections are only in Vietnamese. So far, there's no option available for me to upload my marriage certificate, my daughter's birth certificate or an option to apply for dual citizenship. I sincerely hope they fix these issues as I intend to become a dual American Vietnamese citizen.

I have never seen any app this bad. It's horrible and unusable. If they tested their product, they would have spotted those obvious bugs. We are a country with many talented people, but they chose to let kindergartners to do the important job. Fire those incompetents and let someone who is capable to take over.

"Temporary Residence Card" is misspelled as "Tempoary Residence Card". "This card is valid until" is incorrectly written as "This card is invalid until" Also my country "The Netherlands" is, like on all TRCs over the last 20 years, misspelled as "Netherland". This is like writing "Vietna" for "Vietnam". Too many basic errors. Update: writing to the developer with clear screenshots and explanation results into zero feedback. Clearly there is zero interest in providing a good quality app

Please add a Vietnamese driving licence to Application for foreigners. Police didn't give me a driving licence plastic card (they transform to digital) only give me database record, and VNeID app didn't show a driver's licence. Car rental company say they need legal document to give me a car. I can't rent a car.

The app that the whole country is supposed to use is full of bugs — NFC scanning doesn’t work, facial recognition doesn’t work, and it takes forever to load information. Yet they keep bragging all day about “Industry 4.0” and technological development.

It appears that your app is using Google's Play Integrity API to block usage on operating systems that are not certified by Google. This measure does not improve security, as Google certification of the operating system does not contribute to that. Very old devices with serious, unpatched vulnerabilities still pass these checks. Hope this measure gonna be removed soon. Regards
