1 suggestion: Remove the huge white panel that shows folder storage when taking picture. It takes up 1/3 of the screen. Have it be a hideable/disappearing box. I want to see my full screen when taking a photo❤ Other than that, this app is 100x better than Adobe Scan. It actually does what it says it will - aka remove book spine and page curvature and straighten out photos. It even removes my hand perfectly 90% of the time. This app is GOLD

While working from home, I need access to all kinds of manuals, but lack the storage space. This app has made it so easy and fast to scan and upload everything to Google Drive. Each 60-70 page manual took less than 5 minutes to scan. It's a life-saver! Next up will be my two remaining print books that are not available in digital format so I can read them on a device.

This is the best app of its kind. I have barely had any problems with it, and the OCR capabilities are amazing. However, I will admit I am dissatisfied with some of the features once available for free--some like the creation of a PDF I would argue integral to the application and the reason I downloaded it. I would be fine paying for it for a single time charge. However, I cannot think of anything short of sorcery that would warrant a subscription based payment for this

I rarely review apps, but I'm making an exception for vFlat. It's a great scanning tool that's easy to use, has no ads, and renders high resolution images of documents (better results, in fact, than many on-site copiers & scanners). My primary use has been for work and for historical research, photographing pages from delicate volumes and original records in local archives. VFlat has been a great solution to save records in the absence of other, costly duplication methods. Highly recommend.

I'm astonished by this app! I have no idea how it translates my photos into scan-quality images (or pdfs), but it does, and with ease. My phone does get a bit hot when using the app, but this may be specific to my model (Google pixel, which, despite this minor qualm has one of the best cameras on the phone market). Would absolutely recommend to a friend, especially those in school.

*app update will limit you* very powerful and useful scan files tool with great features. I couldn't believe it was free. Now, they locked the feature and limitation with the subscribing option. however, the price is too high I think. maybe lots of users will leave soon to find an alternative app. I will stick with the older version for now.

This app is almost a 5 star app in my book. It takes pictures of pages quickly, the OCR is unchallenged, and the auto-crop is better than anything I could do manually. The only feature I feel is missing is the book storage (or essentially folder storage) or all the pages collected. If that existed, I would begin to actually do my reading within the app. I am not sure how you have not been offered huge deals yet, but keep up the good work my man!

This is by far the best off scanner application ever. Is so easy to scan a page, contrary to the other scanners out there in Google play. I just tried to scan a few pages, but I ended up scanning over 700 pages. So, go figure. I have it a 4 stars because it's a battery killer. You'd better plug your phone while using it, or it will quickly drain your phone's battery.

Needs to have a no-motion-trigger feature instead of just a timer feature. This would be EXTREMELY GOOD TO HAVE. The feature would work like this: When you are turning the pages, when the phone detects that there has been no motion for like 1 second it takes a picture. Then waits until motion again, then waits until another 1 second break in the motion and takes another picture. Etc.

Tried the iOS version and it's amazing, the best and fastest book scanner I've used. But when I installed the android version on my OnePlus 7 Pro it gives terrible results. Every scan is blurry and barely readable. It looks like maybe it's trying to autofocus and take the picture simultaneously, resulting in a reliably out-of-focus image every time? Whatever the issue I hope it's fixed soon so I don't have to keep borrowing an iPhone every time I want to scan!

I finally found a scanning tool that does what I need it to do: Single click to scan each page. YES!! It's functions like page straightening, page boundary, finger removal, and so on are impressive. OneDrive integration is flawless. The UI is slightly quirky. Sometimes it's choose object and then action, and sometimes it's the reverse. One adapts to it fairly quickly. I use vFlat to scan everything; receipts, statements, pamphlets, magazine articles, and whatever. One enhancement request, if I may ask: A setting that will make smaller files than the current Low Quality setting, for cases where the document just needs to be minimally readable.

Update: Took a star off because nearly every feature is now monetized (including ZIP and PDF file creation), and backups are saved as a .VFZ file. I still like the capture quality. ---This is the future we asked for. The app is really good. It does a great job at cleaning up the image without losing information. It still can't straighten text, so it's curved, and magazines are very challenging. I'd like to see splice images (columns) and compositing to improve quality for 5 stars.

No audiobook or ebook available? No problem! This is an absolutely amazing app! It is stable, fast, easy to use, and extremely accurate at text recognition. I am using it to convert a paperback book I purchased that was not available as an ebook or audiobook. Since I prefer to listen to my books, I used this app to snap pictures of each page so that I could listen to it with eReader Prestigio which has voices that sound like natural speech.

I read the user agreement. This app does not process the image on my phone. The image is sent into "the cloud" for processing. Mainly a concern if you want to keep your data private (regardless of 'encryption'). Thanks for the reply. I just want control when & where my data goes. This app does not appear to allow that. It appears to be integrated with an online service which I do not want, even if free or uses encryption. My data must never be moved out of my control.

I love this app! Takes very good pictures of documents and automatically reframes/crops them and requires almost no alteration on my end. The user interface is easy to use and navigate. You can create a folder system to sort your documents and share them anywhere with the ability to change the resolution, which allows the user to size low to high quality files. This app suits an everyday person's needs when it comes to scanning and sharing documents.

Very few times I feel this excited to leave a review for an app, but this one absolutely deserves it. I scanned an 80 page document without a hiccup. The app detects the edge of the page perfectly and instantaneously. I can choose to either auto scan or do it manually. It has the tools I need for an amazing scanning experience and It doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles that you might find in other apps, but sometimes they are buggy and more steps are required. 100% Recommended!

This app has been really helpful in helping make pdf files from scanned materials. The scans come up pretty clean and easy to read. That being said, I think the subscription model that they've implemented in exorbitant. I don't use the app enough to warrant a monthy or yearly subscription. Like other users, I would be more than happy to pay a one-time fee for lifetime use. $4.99 seems reasonable, but I'd even pay $10 for lifetime use. Anything more than that is too expensive.

Update: The program is good, it does a great job at scanning the pages. It's auto scan feature is wonderful. The text is clear and crisp. Unfortunately I have to take a couple of stars off of a rather good app because now to use the pdf option (which used to be free and in the name) you have to pay for the premium version of the program (38$/yr 4$/m). I would be willing to pay a one-time fee to use this feature. But I can't justify paying monthly for a program I only use a couple times a year.

Great concept. Unfortunately, my phone's camera (Galaxy S7 camera) works much better. This app is not as clear and auto-adjusts the frame. Most of the time, the frame doesn't capture all of the writing and it changes everything to black and white, which ruins pictures and diagrams. I will say it does a good job taking small curves towards the spine of a book and making them into a straight line of somewhat blurry or whited-out text. Hope this helps someone feel less disappointed.

An amazing app! I'm very impressed with how you made it do everything automatically and your text recognition works better then any other service I've seen. Just two suggestions for the next version, after scanning and processing the page, maybe have the app say something like, Done, turn the page, or something. Second , perhaps add the ability to run text recognition on many picts at once instead of just one.
