Some aspects aren't thought out well for users. For example, a contact request came in and it gave me two options, to accept the request or follow. This became quickly confusing because I accepted the request and then the following option disappeared, leaving the person who made the contact with me (their first contact) as having no followers. Changing your photo should be as easy as clicking on your "avatar." My biggest complaint, no app for my tablet and my tablet is my go to device.

Very beta, failed in very way to post a photo. Click the plus in the app, can't see cloud storage, or another thing other than the random folder it picks. Android share button. Fails hard. Photo does not even come in and the post button does work never gets pressed. Just keep clicking the screen. Pretty interface but it's got a long way to go.

Vero has surprised me. I wasn't expecting to like it this much. I'm into photography, specially mobile photography, and I feel like Vero adjusts itself to my pictures instead of adjusting my pictures to it... Unlike other instaplatforms. I LOVE that because I'm never thinking on a platform's constraints while taking pictures so I more often than not I want to share my picture exactly as I shot it without having to cut it. Anyway, give Vero a chance, you might find yourself liking it like me.

I want an images oriented app to be usable on my Android tablet. I'm disgusted with what Instagram's become (full of ads, TikTok reels & junky snapshots). I'm scouting alternatives with serious still photo posts. VERO was recommended. But I can only run the app on my phone. Screen size on the phone is too small to enjoy posted photos (as we slide past 40 our eyesight requires larger viewing options...). VERO seems 😎 cool. But I can't enjoy too small content that's just accessible on a phone.

Has potential. Got many good things, no adds, full control, chronological feed, open where u left previously. Got some bugs, like doesn't respond sometime even after scrolling or clicking on pictures and force closes, lose it's mind and keep loading the notification screen when too many notification, slow at times. Search tab takes forever to search anything. All these manageable as this is a beta version and this is the best app currently for still photo sharing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

The app looks well produced, has some wonderful users who post beautiful content - but getting that content uploaded can be tricky sometimes. The app tends to time out when uploading videos (resulting in you never being able to upload them for days), wont show you new messages even though you got a notification for them. A small handful of little bugs that cause a lot of closing and restarting that app, which may or may not fix the issue.

Doesn't work at all anymore. There's been a "reconnecting" message at the top of the app for a while now. I uninstalled and reinstalled to see if that would somehow fix the problem, but now it says "reconnecting" and won't let me sign in to the app at all. -to the Vero Labs reply, I can't report the bug, can't even log in to the app-

It's both unclear where Vero is heading as a service and an application. The app changes subtly, which may be a good thing, but seems to have difficulty with data volume as it locks up midway through scrolling a profile's stream requiring a restart which loses place of the last viewed location. Lockup, cancel, reload, repeat. Attempting to like a public post from a profile you're not yet following has about a 30% chance of success...a completely unnecessary and frustrating limitation.

Edit for 2022, still in Beta, still lots of bugs and annoying factors, still better than IG. Switching between main and alt accounts requires navigating menus to logout and log in manually. Accounts tied to the same phone should be able to "hot swap." Accidentally hitting the back button closes the app, should have no effect at home screen. Too many notifications causes app to get stuck in cycle loading the notification page, requires restart. Can't use quotes in name to signify nickname.

Amazing concept; horrible outcome. This app barely functions and the developers should have spent much more time fixing bugs and errors. Music is impossible to play, whatever song I play it starts IN THE MIDDLE of the song and there is no way to fix that so it starts at the beginning. This is one of several issues. It's a very good concept however it's just not ready to be used. They should have taken more time to complete the app the first time rather than allowing these bugs and glitches.

I am loving vero so far. Its got the photo based social aspect that completely deteriorated from instagram. Yes the app has some bugs, but no do or die algorithm, no bots, and a great community. I love the look of the app too. Hopefully they can make some improvements, so much potential! I do enjoy the "story" aspect and maybe being able to add some audio to a video but other than that, instagram can keep the rest of its trash nowadays

I used Vero in 2018, then left in frustration due to lack of functionality, & decided to give it another try about a month ago. The app has improved over time, adding functions & becoming a bit faster when loading, and it quickly grew on me, but at the end of the day, it's still very buggy, unreliable and - well, frustrating. Videos, even 10 seconds long, are impossible to upload; the app doesn't run in the background so if you leave it open & switch to another app, the app restarts. And so on..

Rubbish. I like the concept but an app can't close every time you click on a photo and survive in a competitive market. Desktop app ain't much better as it quit forced me to re-enter my password every time I added a photo. Get it up and running and I'm in. I'll keep updated this review as time goes on. They have been incredibly active in trying to resolve problems.

I have to say so far I'm really enjoying the app. It reminds me almost of MySpace or Tumblr in that you can share various types of content to tailor make your social page. I would have given the app 5 stars but I feel it still has room to grow in some areas. Sharing your location is limited to the pre listed options with no ability to add a new location. I find it difficult at times to add content, find others and connect. At times it feels more like a private portfolio, but still acclimating.

Great idea! But Android app for latest OS is very buggy. I was creatin new post earlier today. Added photo, location and some tags, and was constructing a description, but was interrupted by some distraction and just left it hanging on the same screen and the display turned off due to inactivity. Unlocked the phone to continue where I left off and there, the screen was black, and past 5-10 mins of content creation nowhere to be found. Is there a draft saved somewhere?? Not motivated!

I really, really hope they get some more coding staff because the app has massive potential, but the UX has some issues. The experience concept has been really awesome - no stupid algorithm, no ads, and being able to see what I want to see - and the app is asthetically beautiful. That being said, the app can be pretty cludgey. Can be unresponsive or very slow to respond to taps and swipes. Some optimization would go a long way. On a Pixel 4a Android 13, for what it's worth.

UPDATE: The issue is resolved! My account works normally - upgraded my review from 2 to 4 star It could be good, but it has so many small bugs. It looks VERY aesthetically pleasing, one of the best looking social medias I've ever used. However, it's bug ridden. I can make posts, my profile picture doesn't always show up, when I first signed up it wouldn't accept the code that I got in the text message, etc. I really want it to work because it looks super cool, but it's just not quite there yet.

Pretty simple to use and straight forward. The only issue is the loading time of the app. "Reconnecting...". With it's simplicity, one would assume there would be no speed issues. Needs some serious optimization. Many years in too. Bummer. Update: It's now working MUCH better. A number of small bugs but nothing that would keep me off the app!

Installed the app, not really looking into what it claimed it can do. After using it for about an hour, I finally read the description. It absolutely does exactly what it says it does in the app description. It's basically the yt app with 0 - ZERO- ads. This comes with a downside however. The selection of videos leaves much to ask for. It can't be helped tbh, without sponsorship from the ads. That is also compounded by lower viewers, which kinda creates a nasty cycle.

Multiple times the past week app will not update, slides are just black. I haven't been able to see anything updated for the last three days. I logged out and was going to log back in and it said no connection to server. Looking at other photographers accounts on the search page, all their pages just say this account is empty. This app was great for a long time. I don't know what is going on with them.
