I have been using Varo now for a couple of years and absolutely love all of the perks that go along with the free checking account! It is recognized as an accredited bank, no hassles when I need to link it with another platform for transferring funds for different things, all of the "fee-free" ATMs which seem to be everywhere you look, and especially the ease of using/navigating the Varo Bank Mobile app! There is so much more as well!! *AND NO..LOL..I WAS NOT PAID TO SAY ANY OF THIS** LOL..

I wasn't asked to do this review, and I normally don't go out of the way to do them, but this app really is as advertised. I originally got this banking app for a direct deposit place and quickly realized it worked very well. I always get paid two days early. After a couple months I looked into the believe program and started using it. After my first month my credit increased 64 points! A great tool and to me, a much better option then other secured credit cards that have high interest rates.

Was kinda great until I have a $385 direct deposit that hasn't hit. But my $84 check after that, appeared for some reason. NO ONE on this app is helpful. Chat Support? A joke. Was told to be redirected to Dispute line because they don't engage with direct deposit issue. Guess what? Called the dispute line, and they can't do jack shite as well because they deal a check that should've been deposited. When my finances are fixed I'm canceling this. Don't use this app.

A whole new issue, even worse than the Zelle junk. Just transferred a total of $122.01 to my Varo checking, and IT ISN'T THERE. The app says these are instant, but I don't have my money. Edit: Upon calling the customer service line, the automated message says they are having issues with transfers. I'd suggest including this in the app, as that's the way most of us deal with our money, not many of us call beforehand to make sure the system is working.

I have had no problems with the app, no problems with customer service ( they are awesome), and no problems using my Varo card. As a senior, I often find myself lost as to how to navigate an app. This one is very easy, clear, concise instructions and immediate help should I need it. Everything was done exactly like they said and in the correct time frame. I love Varo Bank!!!❣️🐬

Already annoyed after using this app for one day. The old version was much more convenient. There needs to be an option to automatically save password on a device, or at least have a PIN to type in to log into the app quicker. Not really a fan of the fact that when i transferred money into savings, it took an hour to show up, i dont want to complain too much because it eventually did show up in my savings balance, but i liked how the old version showed the transfers immediately.

The app is great. The UI is slightly different but the UX is basically the same. The new card has the really fast "tap pay" option which is good. I just have one complaint: the notification that comes in when you make a purchase no longer says the remaining balance. It was really convenient to see what my remaining balance was without having to go log in to the app. It saves alot of time and keeps me aware. I'm not sure why it was removed, but I would like that feature to be brought back.

I am here to talk about the horrible customer service. I used to love Varo, and it was my go-to bank for several years. That was until the customer service became a bot that is truly unhelpful. There is no good option to reach any kind of live support either. No phone calls except specific situations. It's very frustrating. I had an initial issue within the app and never got it resolved because customer service is the worst. I have since closed my account and moved on. I have been happier since.

I give this app 4 stars, because it's a great option to In person banking. It's one of the best online options I have found. I live how you can access every feature by a touch. I really like how you can send money, save money, and build your credit. Theres several things I'd add, like a calculator. There needs to be an option to cancel transactions. 😞 should be an option to explain transactions like a receipt.

The app itself is very simple and easy to use. I am very happy with the banking experience here, and the Varo Believe credit card is very helpful when building your credit. My favorite part is that Varo actually sends you cards that can be used as contactless tap and pay. Varo also has ways to help file your taxes for free and also monitor your credit score. All I can say is that I can do everything I need to as a business owner through the Varo app. I definitely recommend Varo to everyone.

No matter what I do, when I try setting up my fingerprint, it keeps saying additional information is required. I tried clearing cache, installing and uninstalling the app, restarting my phone, everything. There are no updates available. The problem is definitely the app. Also, the support email address no longer accepts emails.

Easiest online banking app! You have access to Checking, Savings and Varo Believe from the main screen. Transfers are completed in seconds! And they lend you money with an account in good standing. Only issue is with biometrics failing at login. Have to reboot my phone for it to work or use password. Have used them as my only bank for 2 years now!

The service is one of the better experiences with banking I've had. Especially with the advances and getting paid sooner and refunds with stores even come in more swift. My issue here is with the app itself. The logging in is tedious as the biometrics fail often and have to type in password. Even when restarting phone still fails but no other app has issues.

I actually liked varo at first. UI is okay, note too cluttered like other apps, and their secured credit card program is great- easy to use no excessive fees etc. But in the end, I can't have a bank where the card regularly declines normal purchases regularly (errant fraud protection issue), and doesn't have live custoner service after 4pm EST. Having dinner get declined and not being able to talk to anyone to fix it can be frustrating. Having it happen multiple times for vital purchases? Ugh

STAY AWAY! I have been a fan for a while, but that has completely changed when I signed up for the Varo believe credit card. There a few MAJOR issues with this product and Varo in general. 1) This credit account can only be viewed and maintained in the app... NOT online?! 2) Transactions are missing, balances have been wrong. 3) Customer support IS TERRIBLE?! There is only chat support and these "Live" agents will do the very minimum of research and will ultimately provide very little support.

It's a good bank with great perks, but absolutely NO customer service support is available. They say they have live chat via the app, but they don't! It's a bot that doesn't understand and keeps repeating the same questions even after you've answered! If Varo can't have a LIVE person available to assist when necessary, I'll have to switch my banking!

Horrible customer service take extremely long to get back to you through email and do not resolve anything. App constantly glitches, gives me incorrect balance information. The old app was a much better experience than the new one. What was an enjoyable experience for a online bank is completely gone I would stay far away until they resolve these issues. Update: My issues got resolved.

Instant transfers?? Only SOME of them. There's a glitch that is the most inconvenient & keeps my transfers from savings to checking in limbo for several hours. Need to get gas? Too bad! The app is experiencing "technical difficulties" & you can't even log in. Don't waste your time with Varo. It keeps getting worse, even more unreliable than previously was! Need custimer support? Guess you'll have to wait over 24 hrs for a response... time to go to SoFi

I paid off an advance two weeks early and had my amount cut in 1/3 for doing so. Nothing changed in my direct deposits for over a year. Several better banking apps out there. They dont care about loyal customers nor do they reward them foe early payments. I wanted to reverse the payment back to my original due date to which they replied all payments were unable to be reversed...ridiculous at best!

I received an email requesting documentation to verify my information. I did that. Did not hear a thing back. Called. The agent says they will expedite it. Days later, and my account is still suspended. This is very very frustrating. I have bills and credit cards and recurring investments linked to the account, and now it is all screwed up! Some of my investment accounts liquidated some of my stocks because the platform cannot access my varo account!!! It is truly insane.
