I have been using Varage Sale online for a few years with my desktop. Every few months I get asked to rate the app. The app on my phone lets me post multiple pictures and is easier to use in several ways. It still needs an improvement to let me update the primary picture. Also many users are unaware of local rules that they need to reply and arrange to pickup within 12 hours. Most users are friendly. Waiting hours for people to reply can get annoying. Especially when the reply is "NO"

Great idea but too complex. I don't like having to join separate communities. It would be nice to enter a location and search within "X" amount of miles from my zip code. Instead I have to ask permission to join other communities to see what's in different areas. Marketplace and Craigslist are easier to navigate and I can search countrywide without having to join groups. Another feature this could use is animal sales, pets and/or livestock. Tried it but uninstalled shortly after downloading.

Love the service, love what it does for my budget and the community, but developing an adversarial relationship with the app. Glitchy. Logs me out in the middle of browsing sessions all the time and sometimes won't let me log back in. And I don't love the random new interrupting ads. Have also noticed that Facebook definitely sees my VarageSale activity and promotes similar items to me on Marketplace later when I'm not searching for them. Sometimes useful, often not.

I love how cheap everything is! It's a cute and nice way to buy and sale. ...but I was given a hard time for my Facebook and the app having a 20 minute place that I live at and to where I visit weekly! And kinda live both places. It took a week to get accepted or approved for this app and to comment or message you have to be approved before doing anything but watching the items. I think that that was annoying to have to change my location that was 20 minutes away from my actual home... Like I had to wait like 12-20 hours just to get one message... And just to tell me to change where I live and where the app set my address... changing the address on my Facebook in a couple years maybe a year or less so... I didn't change my Facebook yet... And it's literally Northeast and Erie... That's it. But other than that I like the app... Still better of I go to the yard sales... But sometimes nice to have when u don't have time.

I post an item for sale, well I fill out the form, get to the end and hit post, it does nothing except clears everything. I end up having to start over, this happened several times today while trying to post the same item, this happened yesterday too. I don't have time to keep trying to post the same item over and over and over and over and over!!!!!!! I only gave 1 star since it keeps happening. did great untill yesterday.

hate that if you back out of creating a listing or exit the app really quick to check something that your whole listing disappears and you have to start over. so many times I try to go back to look at my gallery to make sure to add detailed descriptions of my photos and then my whole post gets erased that I spent quality time writing out. super frustrating and NOT user friendly in that aspect. also. choose better admin that aren't micromanagers. it isn't that serious karen.

Couldn't sign up, couldn't log in, couldn't find a community for me.... Logistical nightmare. It's like they don't want me to actually be able to use their app. Nothing but slow loading screens and error messages. I *think* I was finally make an account after 30 minutes of trying, but I still can't get the app to work. Really annoying. Do not recommend.

Really wanted to like this app, gave it 6 months.There are some major flaws. #1, same few people posting items for sale, but all three people I've contacted with ?'s NEVER responded. So few people have anything listed I literally get notified of items that are 3 hours away and sometimes up to a hundred miles... ridiculous! I've been using yard sale treasure maps app for same amount of time- world of difference. I have nothing to do with that app but I am recommending you check it out-- user-friendly, keeps you in your area, great response. One last note, yes I did try to reach out to a so-called administrator in my area but never could get any communication back. Maybe somebody can develop this app by giving it the love and attention it needs

Useless. I use several selling platforms. Decided to try this for free boosting. Since listing on VS I've sold over 20 items - none of them here. Bump button is too tiny compared to the rest of the listing; you end up clicking the listing instead of Bumping. I have only had one interested person and she never bothered to contact me. Prices were low, pictures good. I was part of 4 communities. I looked at the discussions for each community. Last activity was 6mo, 9mo, or a year ago! Pointless.

The interface is very straightforward and self explanatory until you find an item that you want to purchase. It's kind of awkward bc you have to post a comment and hope they reply, then figure out the rest. The option to buy should be readily available for those impulse sales.. And to create a stress free buying environment.

Great Administration response time and details! Tins of categories! Easy listing! Love the free "Bump" feature too! Reasonable customer pricing when buying! All around, this is an amazing app for local selling and buying!! And, to top it off, I got a sale within the first 6 hours of posting!! Thanks and keep up the great developing!! 11+ stars!!

Love buying and selling on this app. I really like the way it organizes the items you are selling by category and the feature that allows you to reserve an item for a customer immediately. It helps secure the sale. I also like how it color codes items that are available, pending a sale, and no longer available. The only thing is I cant seem to get pictures in my gallery to show up on a listing so I have to take pictures of the items Im selling through the app camera. This app is the best.

A little frustrating. I used Varage in the past to purchase and sell items in my community. A few years ago, the admins were always on top of sellers/buyers that were horrible with communication or none at all. As the app grows, it seems as if it's too much for them to handle. I recently got logged off, can't remember my password. I have requested "Forgot Password", 4 days later, still waiting for an email to reset my password. I've tried multiple times now.

I don't get notifications until I open the app which makes me miss messages for pick ups. There is no report feature for people that don't show up or stop responding, you have to talk to an admin or report the whole transaction. Items are left on there for years without being taken down, which floods the available items with stuff that does exist. Also, some ads just blast sound for minutes at a time, and you have to close and reopen the app or turn off your volume.

Constantly freezes with error meassages galore! This used to be a fun site to sell on but it is unusable. When posting a new item, you enter in all the photos, title, description, and price, but it won't publish unless you go back and delete a letter or a number in each area, add it back in again, then it accepts it. But it won't include any of the painstakingly entered description when you go to the site to check your listing! Too much work to sell anything. Will be deleting my account.

I enjoy varagesale very much. I've been using this app for about 8 years. I've found so many great deals, and I've sold a lot of items. I love how safe the meetups are. The app works great. Except, I have noticed if you want to change one of your pics to make it the "cover photo" for your item, that option has never worked. Otherwise, I love how organized everything is..especially how it keeps up with all your transactions.

I upgraded my phone. Samsung 23ultra. App was being buggy but working. Then it would open say it couldn't connect 'retry' which I would do. No luck. It might load the notification and messages but when I went to look or read, it wouldn't work. Uninstalled, reinstalled when first got the phone. Then again. Now I just have it off. I have sales pending or I did. Can't communicate with ppl. Please help, please fix. Also emailed the help email (not for the first time). Never get response.
