Edit: Customer service over the phone is really bad. The support team members give contradicting information and the company will never give you any kind of refund for services not used. Use Square, it's free. So far Great! Client Database, Online Booking, mini website with booking options, confirmation texts, built-in marketing strategies and I can even add on payment processing!! Price can't be beat, for all that! Fingers crossed its not too good to be true!

The new update is annoying. I can handle it, but annoying. I really did love this app the first year i had it but now, more frequently then not, I'm dealing with the "something went wrong" message when I try to sign in. It's ridiculous, and I don't have time for it. I'm trying to stick it out because moving to another app seems like a pain, but it may be worth it. If I can't use the app half the time why have it! If it would work properly, I literally would not have a complaint!

Good value for the price. I actually haven't had many issues with the app itself. Every once in a while it is a little bit slow loading the settings but generally, it is a pretty good system. It'd be nice if it had a more updates look as it seems a bit dated. I'm not a fan of vagaro's customer service. It is seriously lacking and they do not reach back out in a timely matter. I have had a few issues with my card reader but I think that's independent from the app itself.

This app is very helpful for me! I'm a 15 yr stylist and have always used a physical calendar book. I would get tons of call on my off days for appts and often forget to call back or text back. I lost a few clients that way. This app really helps with taking all the weight off of me to letting them book for themselves the services they want. It allows me to be more organized. Annnnddddd I dont have to carry that book around anymore!!!!!!!

3/2019 Another request for review. 1/2019 Still useful, but repeated requests for reviews? not so much. 4/2018 still using this great program. Latest update tweaked a few things. Some I have liked, some... not so much. 1/2017 Easy interface for both technicians and clients. This little program has made my life easier. The best part? It aids you in your taxes. Not only does it track your income, but your expenses as well.

I like this app except for the fact that it asks almost every single time about pending appointments & these appointments are not even my own appointments. This is annoying and I wish there was an option to select to never show this again. It doesn't make sense to me. Also, it would be better if the same option was available for checkout when it asks for permission to record audio every single time. It's annoying to have to click "deny" every single time. Just an extra unnecessary step. Thanks

I am very pleased overall but lately way to much bugs. It doesn't allow me to log in, some advertisements on when I open app without option to proceed. It's very weird. Didn't have almost any issues till 2-3 weeks ago . Their customer support is great but these issues are not allowing me to run the business. I ll update my review if issues get solved Update: Issues resolved, great customer service

My experience is that while the customer service seems good, like your talking to people in America who speak English. They hold up payments and request addition formation before you get paid. They have their excuses. Nonetheless in my experience of charging people for personal training packages, only this place flags transactions for being "too high", and they hold up payment. Not good for business.

I have been using the app for at least 3 yrs and have been completely satisfied. My clients love and depend on text reminders. I love the pre-book and reoccurring appointments options. Very fast and convenient to use. That review was from 2015. Here it is, 2024, and I can still say the same things. Happy stylists, happy clients!

I have used both GlossGenius and Vagaro. Both have Pros and Cons. GlossGenius definitely is easier to use, and the look of the app is more visually appealing. I kept having appointments erased from my books, so I switched back to Vagaro. The developers definitely chose the long, scenic route in order for you to book an appointment or find your Client Waitlist. Those definitely need to be updated ASAP.

There's been alot of issues lately. When a client updates their card info, the app won't keep the updated card on file. Also, it stopped sending me notifications. There will be times where the system will be down for the whole day so either a client must pay cash or send them an invoice once it's working again. You also cant check client info during these times. These are all issues I have called about before and have not been resolved.

The last update seems to have completely broken push notifications, which has been really inconvenient for me as a service provider. None of my settings have changed and I tried logging out/back in, uninstalling the app, deleting the cache, etc. I saw another review mention it before I realized it wasn't an issue on my end, which is absolutely ridiculous considering it's been almost two weeks since the latest release. I can't help but think that this would never happen on the apple ver.

I have been using them for years. In the last 2 years I started using them as my sole payment system. I wish I had stayed with Square and moved to a different payment system. I have lost clients over this payment system. I have someone dispute a deposit once because they didn't show up, so we kept the deposit, so she disputed it. They gave it back to her and charged me an additional 20 dollars. Despite me having all the proof. PLEASE pick a different payment system! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR!

Overly complicated yet doesnt have basic features like being able to choose how many max appts you take in a day. The payment system is extremely buggy where it got to the point where clients have had to pay me with venmo or something because the card reader/app wasn't connecting. Very embarrassing and could get me bad reviews. And why do I need to create a client account for someone who is only purchasing a gift certificate?? Ridiculous and inconvenient. I wish I had gone with another service.

Hard to get used to, coming from Acuity which is very simple to use and easy interface, Vagaro takes a little bit of research and digging to find what I need. I still have yet to figure out how to auto sync with my Google calendar as opposed having to manually update each time a new appointment is made. 😅

It gets so slow, freezes, and it can be hard to find things in all the sub menus. Do NOT opt for the card reader unless you plan to use this for a full year. And the card reader is honestly plastic trash. The sticky thing they sent sucks, and it fell after a few hours on a plastic surface. I tried to use the reader for my massage business, but it's just not convenient for my checkout process. I also feel like this system would be great if I had employees, but I do not. Not a fan.

Long time user but there are a few things that have unnecessarily changed and something that needs to change. Inventory look and options keeps changing it was user friendly before. When a client puts a note in with their appointment you don't know unless you go into each appointment. There is no notification alerting you a note was put on by client. There are less expensive POS services out there but to keep everything synced for tax purposes you are stuck with using there's.

Update : I've been using this app. For almost 4 yrs. I notice since my business is growing Vagaro app is actually only good to use when you're one stylist only in the business. Most of their features on the business side is good,not on the client side of booking online. They're not user friendly for clients to book online & not all clients will be tech-savvy. The apperiances online makes client confuse & to complicated to choose preferred stylist. Will browsed other company if no improvement.

I've been asking for years to have a feature where we can block out a resource. It's absolutely necessary for running my business and I can't believe I've been using vagaro for almost a decade and they still have not added that feature! I'm very, very disappointed and I'm hoping that this review will grab enough attention that they will finally fix it!! Please!!! You can't imagine how frustrating this is!

I signed up, mainly for Yoga services, for my business. It wouldn't let people book online, unless I ordered a credit card reader (which I didn't want or need, as I had my own reader with another issuer). When my business closed, I was unable to cancel the account before the next month was charged, or they were going to charge a $100 early termination fee...and it was expiring a day after the new month was supposed to be charged. Crazy how that works. Wouldn't refund me for the month...
