The search feature is atrocious. If I try to search an area, it jumps all the way to locations 5+ miles away for no reason. Also, why isn't every location of certain chain restaurants available? Every single Jersey Mike's within 10 miles is on the list EXCEPT the one closest to me, of course. Why??? And if you just generically look for restaurants, only a fraction of available restaurants show up but if you look at the map, there are way more.

Enter Code while signup to get $10. I updated upside, when I follow someone it just goes back to me not earn them, it's super boring. Whenever I'm scrolling every single video glitches and that's also very annoying. Lastly, my upside is very slow and it's the most annoying thing ever. I updateded upside many times but these problems can't be fixed. I thought it was my phone, so I restarted it but it was still the same thing. I hope these problems can be fixed, but overall, the app is ok.

Offers never post and even if you can prove the purchase with receipts they still say it's ineligible. Only one of four fill-ups gave me cash back but all show in the history. They "didn't receive it?" so cash back isn't eligible. If they actually did what was advertised or were consistent then the app would be amazing. It's user friendly and basic. It's easy to sign up and can easily and quickly be navigated when you get to the pump.

It's pretty good. It definitely takes some getting used to for the restaurants. Make sure you get the full receipts, and you won't have an issue at all. Definitely opt into paying at the store with your card, versus online, I've had issues getting the receipt to show my card, typically just says online payment. Other than that, it's 1 minute per fill-up, works with work fleet cards, and it adds up pretty quick if you're on the road a lot. If anything, it can be a food splurge fund!

it sounded too good but.... it works! no strings attached! very easy to use. the amount changes daily so just don't expect it the same all the time. you don't make a lot, but for what it is and it's free money, I'm satisfied. i put it towards Amazon and it definitely helps! i try to tell other people but everyone thinks it's a scam of some sort. but i assure you. it isn't. try it! oh, and there are lots of choices of how you want your credit. i chose Amazon cause i order from them all the time

I loved the app until last update. Now all I get is "unable to load offers" once the app loads. Yes, I have location on. It always looks like it's going to fully load properly, right up until I turn location on, which is required. Then it's unable to load offers. I can't even go to app history, or anything. It's completely broken.

I tried using the app for a gas purchase. A few days after my purchase, I got an email that it was taking longer than expected but would go thru by a certain date. That date came and the offer now shows expired. There's no way to upload receipts so they can arbitrarily decide if they pay out or not. I'll give then one more chance and then I'll be deleting the app. Update: After this review I received a response suggesting I contact customer service to submit a receipt. I did. No response. 0⭐

I have used the Upside app on several occasions in the hope of receiving the promised cashback, but it has repeatedly let me down. After the first time, when everything seemed to work fine, I have not received any more rewards. Instead of getting the cashback, I have only seen expiration messages and offers that are not fulfilled. It seems like they just want to give you a good initial impression, but don't deliver what they promise in the long run. This inconsistency is disappointing.

Actually works and gives you your cashback! Each transaction isn't much, but it adds up over time and it's simple to use and keep track of since you're buying gas a few times each month regardless. Also, the UI is super simple and straightforward. the notifications are just right without being obnoxious too. Overall, excellent app!

The first couple of transactions went through with no problem . Then the issues. I only use maybe 3 gas stations all which I received a cash back within first week or so. Then 4 transactions at the same place I initially was refunded remain in a processing status until they expire. When something is is to good to be true it probably is. Good for 1 or 2 transactions at best

Easy to do but not so easy to receive. I got the first offer just fine...easy to claim, easy to do, offer right on my account no problem! Appears to be a one and done situation though. Offers 2 processed until it was no longer valid. I did get an email saying it was taking longer but never got anything. Offers 3 is looking the same as 2. If it just stays on processing until no longer valid I'll just be done. Great app if it works...

From 5 to 1 star. Didn't get to use the app much. Initial couple of transactions went ok, but started seeing processing delays and discovered account was put on hold / lock by Upside. After exchanging some emails about the account (the only one I created), they basically indicated there was nothing they could do to unlock it. Cash accumulated is now theirs. My recommendation is to not use this service, it's not worth the hassle, and the gas discounts are really very minimal.

What yanks me is if you get gas before you update, you lose that transaction. So...that means you have to check twice daily to ensure there is no update. I've lost out of 3 transactions because of this. The 1st time they requested a report and proof of purchase...I don't have time to do all these backflips for $1.56. Right now I have another transaction pending because I didn't update 1st! Otherwise, as long as you're keeping up with updates, payouts are relatively quick.

Used it twice. First time was nice. Second time, drove in rush hour traffic for wrong price. Bot is useless. Beware. They also request "background GPS" to receive "on average 7x the rebates." Drove past another gas station and it didn't have prices posted. And if you try to cash out under $15 in rebates, they charge you a buck. Outside of that first time, the app is honestly disappointing and extremely misleading. Non existent C.S. means you just have to take the bait n switch after traffic. D+

The first cash out worked fine. After that every transaction just says processing until it expires. I deliver so I frequently purchase gas and initially found this useful but it seems like they don't want to process my payments. I feel like it's because I make similar purchases at the same few stores so there isn't much marketing potential from their point of view. Regardless I'm not getting any benefit. I've talked to customer service twice and use the same card and every time they expire.

Bait & switch! I have been using this app for several months. The transactions have been processing fine, as far as timing, however, i find the payout amounts are different than what was stated. For example, i claim an offer at 10 cents per gallon. I go to the station, buy the gas, and submit the receipt. When it is paid, the claim amount is different...5, 6 or 7 cents, instead of the 10 cents that they lead you to believe you are getting. Very deceiving.

I like the app itself but I would rather have the option to take a picture of the receipt or upload it myself. Due to most of my transactions get either "pending" then turn into "expired". I think if it takes more than 4 days, the app should have a upload or allow you to take a picture of the receipt. My husband sent me the invite for Upside. However, neither of us have seen that invite money.

Upside is ok at its best, in some areas. A full tank for me ranges between 12 gals and 17 gals on my 2 cars. So I never see more than $2....EVER! I use certain gas stations for their rewards and sometimes I'm lucky enough to get twice the rewards with upside and their rewards programs, but upside conveniently doesn't allow it most of the time. It'll say their are issues. The issue is I found a way to save a few more cents, but oh no! Upside won't have that. So they cut the discount in half. BFS!

Notifications pop up about special offers, but when you tap them to see what it is they go away and you can't find them again. Map function should integrate better with Google maps especially when moving. Doesn't help to pull up offers that are 10 miles in the opposite direction I'm going. Still like the concept. Over $850 earned so far.

Great app to save money! I recommend this to anyone who drives a lot or goes out to eat a lot. After using it for a while, I dropped 2 stars off because the search feature is 100% trash. When searching it bounces right back to local area. The search function needs to produce a list or something useful should be displayed, but as it sits it's useless.
