They say "no fees" but the buy rates are 2.5% higher than market and sell rates are 2.5% lower than market and other apps from what I can tell. They should just be transparent. My first transaction went through, but I placed a later transaction that disappeared from my account. Rates should also auto refresh on a trade app, but they don't. Setup is quick with instant transfers.

Use to be great, now it's close to useless. This app was easy and convenient but it is now close to impossible to transfer funds to Uphold. Support is totally clueless and simply send you copy and paste answers that don't solve your issues. I was a huge supporter of Uphold but the service has gone to the gutter and they are not even trying to help you or retain you. If they don't improve and come back to the level of service and the ease of use they were at I will go elsewhere. Sad! As requested by Uphold, Ticket #2014703. Glad to hear what you could do that your support has been unable to solve for weeks...

Anyone with a last name that involves two or more names separated by a space be warned, they will most likely mess it up during the verification process. Even though you send official documentation with the correct first name and last name they cant seem to understand it. I'm on my third attempt. Fingers crossed. It takes around 8 hours for customer service to receive ticket requests then 8 hours to fix.

Uphold is a fine app. Very user friendly, however, the app won't allow me to transfer ANY funds back to my bank account. It's a loopy process of the 2 part verification system. I believe that this is something that needs to be corrected asap, so that we all may have a greater, much more fuller experience. Other than that, superb job Uphold😎

Besides a few minor issues such as the app being sluggish sometimes during periods of high volume trading, Uphold delivers a solid experience that's easy-to-use and beginner friendly. Support is usually quick to respond and always helpful. For total newbies like me the set-up can be a bit of a hassle but you get through it. Still a great app.

Pros and Cons of my experiences with this wallet. Pros: They kept belief in XRP and they have a huge selection of Alt coins. Their fees are definitely higher than most, the app is slow and buggy, anytime I log in from anything other than my phones Internet service and it makes me log in with my password and then it keeps sending a code to my old phone number and Ive been told by support SEVERAL times to make a ticket and the issue would be resolved... STILL Happening months later!!

Cannot recommend using this app/company. They allow you to use a debit card to deposit funds, but to withdraw you need a bank account, which is fine IF they actually recognize your bank account. I have 2 different bank accounts, and neither are recognized through UPHOLD or PLAID (which they use for banks). No other options to withdraw money, so I paid money in, and now CAN'T withdraw it! What the heck is the point of investing/trading if I can never get my money back!! I've lost a bunch of money now due to the market and not being able to cash out when I wanted. Absolutely absurd. Stay away.

Does not support my bank or the option to manually add one. Was very disappointed to see that my bank (Alta Vista Credit Union) was not an option to add my bank account. I wasted all that time getting everything setup to be shot in the foot and not be able to use the app in any meaningful way because of this. You think they would add the option to manually add your bank like every other service out there, but nope. I have 0 issues adding funds from my debit card though. Funny how that works huh.

staking high fees. withdrawals high fees. The purchasing depositing high fees. I mean let's just face it High Fees. Their fees are fairly high for the industry standards right now, in the US. The UI is very not user friendly and it is complicated to start to understand it. without having someone else or something else to read through to help explain it and make sense of it. I do use a couple other exchanges and this one by far is the most costly and difficult to use. Deposits under $5k=$25 fee!

The app was working fine until I moved. Since then I haven't been able to buy anyrhing. I've updated my billing address on my bank account and I have contacted customer support multiple time but it seems they can't fix the issue. Still can't buy or transact anything on the app. Very inconvenient especially if I would want to sell what I have already bought. Edit.. They managed to fix the issue.. other than that the app works fine.

Uphold is definitely a mixed bag. I haven't had any issues with purchases or time limits (though I use my credit card to put money in my account, then use that money to get crypto). The UI is nice and polished, but it's too simplistic. No numbers just graphs, only a few places to click. On my pc it took me forever to figure out how to set up my credit card. There's nothing in the settings you have to go to the transact screen. Overall not terrible, just needs more info in it.

High transaction fees (8% on some trades) and excessive hold times for withdrawal after an ACH toped off with constant ads about their credit card, daily spam, and poorly designed data snapshots. Oddly, it doesn't look like it's possible to transfer out without paying a fee... And if it is, their app is so poorly designed that I can't find it. I wish I never used this app. Edit: the developer responded and then deleted their response.

*APP IS COMPLETELY BROKEN* Just to inform uphold developers, that I just have updated my app to latest version and it has started crashing. I have to force close uphold app everytime when it freezes. Specially from "Anything to Anything" screen it doesn't allow user to enter the quantity of the coins they want to buy, and screen freezes. Its intermittent but "from" and "to" box gets disabled. Because of these bugs I had to use other exchange.

NOT very user friendly. I agree with others that have said the same. I got into using it due to xrp . I applaud Uphold for not delisting it. Plus I could get some alts that weren't available on CB. But! This is definitely not my go to app . It's very confusing, difficult to send,transfer, etc. I shouldn't have to go with a YouTube video to figure out how do do certain things. I would like to use Uphold please keep it simple! You are the most difficult to use of any exchange

This new app is not as easy to use. 1. It has a "permanent" dark mode. Yes, I tried changing it in settings but each time I log in new it reverts to dark mode. 2. The main screen is too busy and it took my a while to figure out where my portfolio was. It just wasn't easier or an improvement. 3. To purchase was very confusing as well. I was not sure what is was going to purchase and with which currency. 4. It periodically freezes or crashes. As a result I no longer use it☹️

Been using Uphold for a while now, and this is actually a very solid app. Quite fast, and has never crashed. Live chat support is also available. On the other hand, sending assets to an actual wallet address could be more straightforward, staking was removed, they killed their crypto debit card program, and there is now a 99 cent fee for every transaction imaginable (on top of the spread). I once was a fan, but can no longer recommend this exchange.

This app has a terrible design. Every time I try to exchange funds from one currency to another, I get to the step that asks for the amount, and the preview exchange button is greyed out, and I can't do anything else. Doesn't matter what amount I put in. I wanted to like uphold, but their fees are quite a lot and the user experience is confusing at best even for people experienced with cryptocurrency. I may revisit this app/service in the future if they can get the design figured out.

I used to love using this app for currency watching, metal trading and crypto staking. However, one thing changed all that, a "temporary" inability to change my address through the app. I use quotations, because this has been a "temporary" issue for over 2 years, now. I've tried contacting support, as it suggests, and they want me to provide some crazy levels of personal info, info which my banks don't even require. Weird stuff. Haven't really used the app since then, so about 2 years.

I like the app, but I don't like that it doesn't allow us to see the circulating supply and market cap and all time high of every crypto. Only certain crypto. Also alot of the times when I try to launch the app it's stuck on the loading screen with the pulsing uphold logo and never enters the home menu and doesn't allow me to see my funds and to buy more crypto. The apps seems like it does fishy things

The app needs some work for accessibility with screen reading software such as Google talkback for Android. Also, I currently cannot log in because I do not have access anymore to the phone number that I have on my account for two-factor authentication. No way to change it on the app on the sign in page. Also, the e-email support that is listed in the Google Play listing does not work.
