Built on a great premise, but fails to update messages without having to restart the app or even the device too frequently for me to give it 4 or 5 stars. And it's not my settings - I'm failing to get messages during my scheduled "on" times.

Great software. Sooo broken on Android. Crashes every single time, regardless of new updates and 'bug fixes'. - Edit after your reply; I was in touch exactly 12 days ago via that link and havent had a response.

I prefer an asynchronous way to communicate. Email is too messy with it's many threads. Twist serves the purpose nicely. My one wish is that there would be a built in video chat for those times when messages are not enough.

I just started using it but it is exactly the solution I needed. I use Todoist with my family. And needed a slack -like but simpler topic-oriented communication platform. I use it on Android and browser. Dont seem to encounter any of the mentioned problems so far.

Use this for a couple years for work, it's a decent interface until push notifications just randomly stopped working and you forget what's even going on. You guys really need to fix the push notification issues it's so annoying

Despite multiple attempts, I wasn't able to create an account. App kept failing and telling me to look at data. I gotta look for something else...an alternative.

For the first month, twist is good not until yesterday , June 4, 2025. Whenever i open the app. It close automatically , i tried doing clear data and uninstalling the app but the problem is not fix .

I don't really see the benefit of this yet. I would love to move my international Discord teams over, but even with Discord ignoring requests for addition of basic functionality, Twist just isn't good enough to be a significant improvement. Twist has Teams in place of Servers, Channels in place of Categories, and Threads in place of Channels, so the fact that you can't move Messages in Discord is the same as being unable to move Comments on Twist. Twist works better but is more confusing.

Awful. - notifications don't work (even after doing all that support suggested) - desktop version just gets frozen and you have to 'kill' it before you can switch between chats again - browser version just stopped loading on 11/25/2020 Our company switched from Slack expecting seamless performance from Twist. App is fine, but is not enough. Main goal of messengers is quick communication - instead we got complaints from all the team and endless switching between browser version/desktop and app

This has proven to be a decent communications tool for our organization. Not as constantly in-your-face as Slack, so if you need to be constantly poked, Slack is a better tool. For us, Twist is preferable because we need to work without forced interruptions, and we are disciplined enough to check the app periodically.

the design & setup makes for a neat app, however, I'm part of a buy/sell group, & sales happen within minutes of listing...& I haven't gotten ANY notifications, which means I miss ALL sales. which is the whole point! I have my app settings set to send me mobile notifications for all threads & comments...but I never get any.

Awful, cannot be opened on Android, stay away if you can. Tried everything support suggested and still crashes instantly as you open it. Worse is that they know and it's not their priority to fix it.. I had it downloaded for 8 months and it is 8 months unusable...

Well, in the past year, the app was working great. Then, I stopped receiving messages. I uninstalled and then installed it. Now I can take pictures or attach photos. The app don't give the option to use the camera or share files Please Help

Only issue is that it never notifys me when aessage comes through. It notifies me on Gmail but not just straight form the app and.ibe changed the settings in the app as well as the app settings in my phone settings app. I'm not sure why and if I'm the only one who has this issue and if maybe it's because I use it on my phone an don't my laptop

This app is so buggy, I use this app to communicate with my company, it has a TERRIBLE TIME updating as soon as someone sends me something. This is absolutely horrible because if my company is experiencing massive customer downtime I shouldn't have to wait 20 MINUTES for twist to refresh to see that I got a message 18 minutes ago from my coworker!! This goes for PC and Android. Over multiple updates and multiple months.

I have been using Twist for a few years, and the app has come a very long way! Notifications are consistent. The UI is very clean and easy to use. The only things preventing a 5 star rating is the bugs within the notifications. When I receive a message, I get a push notification and a bubble. Any attempt to reply or react causes the bubble to close. The push notification allows reading and replying but tapping it to enter the app causes the notification and the bubble to disappear.

Still, the app is extremely buggy. For example, often you can see that there is unread message in the channel, you open the channel, but there are no new messages. When you open it on the desktop, you can find that there's a message, but the app just does not show it. This bug persists for more than a year. The support recommends logout-login. It helps, but is a bit inconvenient to do it every time.
