I don't know if this is happening to anyone else, but it recently updated for me and now it won't even open without immediately crashing. This app is aso kinda a ripoff, making it to where you can't use any of the functions unless you pay or watch an ad, which lets you tap it like 5 times before it times out. I think this really needs to be fixed, and soon.

Absolute garbage. Installed as a "quick fix" while we wait on our replacement physical remote. It worked long enough to move from one ros of apps to another then stopped with a full page ad popping up every 30 seconds while I tried to figure out what was going on. I checked the FAQs and it mentions the free version has time limits for use... Apparently that time limit is approximately 15 seconds.

I could only use it for a few minutes before the app wouldn't allow me to anymore, demanding I start a weekly subscription of at least 3 USD. No way anyone can reasonably afford that rather than going out and getting a whole new remote for about the same price, only for one payment. In short, I do NOT recommend this app to anyone. Just use the buttons on the TV instead.

I paid 20$ for the lifetime subscription and two days later the app won't connect to my tv anymore. It just spins and says make sure your tv and phone are connected to the same wifi network, they are connected and the app was working just fine the last two days. I'm very disappointed and I hope I can somehow get help to fix this issue. Until then I will leave this one star review. Update.. The app started working again two days later. Not sure what changed, maybe it just does that randomly

WARNING: DO NOT DOWNLOAD This caused massive issues with my TV. 1) I only used this app for 1 day 2) CONSTANT ads, multiple ads each time. It allows you to hit 3-4 button and MORE ADS.. If you hit the ➡️ for example scrolling through movies, all of a sudden after a couple hits it launches an ad, then of course you click the ad and you WILL GET HOUNDED by that company. 3) Caused phone to freeze and restart. Caused TV to freeze and only way to resolve was unplug TV. GARBAGE

The app is almost completely pointless. I downloaded it and right away paid the $30 or so for lifetime use, only because it was so cheap. It is pointless though because you need the actual remote to turn on the TV before the app will even connect to it 🤦‍♀️ legit no reason to get the app at that point. Cool thing is how easy it is to put up photos and stuff on the screen. But this does NOT replace your remote. So the pro is it's really cheap. Con is you can just use the regular remote instead.

1 year of use for $20?? F*** that. I can buy an actual roku remote for that much and have it for the entire life of the TV. And the price is even more ridiculous when one looks at the actual features offered, which are only those on the actual remote. No customization options or new features to make it worth the price point. DO NOT DOWNLOAD! WASTE OF MONEY!!

NOT FREE! I was pretty impressed with the ease of installation and intuitiveness of the app at first (ignoring the ads that cover the entire screen). I'd used it for a couple of hours when I was just about to select a title I'd searched for and the app locked up on me. It was redirecting me to purchase a plan before it would allow me to use any other function. Every button I attempted to use was redirecting back to purchase a plan. Quality doesn't need a hard sale. Uninstalled.

the pop up ads make it frustrating to use. it won't turn on your TV if it's "off" or asleep. would be great if it came up with one ad then let me use it freely. as it is, I can't change the volume without pausing for 3 separate 10 second ads. very frustrating when my TV has drastically different volume requirements from app to app. it is good as a backup when I misplace the remote, but it feels like the punishment TV remote.

Update: the app works again! It really is my favorite Roku remote app and the pro version is about the cost of a new remote and much harder to lose... I really loved this app. I didn't mind paying for all of the pro features - I thought they were great and convenient. But the app has been unusable since the update May 7th and crashes immediately after attempting to launch every time. The developer has failed to respond to emails or crash reports and the app has not been fixed.

This would be an awesome app if it weren't for the annoying adds. you'll find yourself getting frustrated because while your scrolling through your viewing options the remote seems to stop responding. But it hasn't really. you just happened to click on an ad accidentally because you were focused on the TV when the app suddenly flashes an ad. ingenious, really. good way to get your click through credits guys. however it's extremely annoying to us, the users of your app.

Wow! I can't even get into my other apps to watch a movie without being bombarded with apps. I try to push a button to pick a movie or even make one move , I mean one move, it sets off a domino effect of one add after another. Forget about watching a movie, or watching anything at all, just look at ads. It's aggravating and I'll never use this app again. I used it when there was no adds I would have paid for it then, but this has P.O.ed me so much I don't even want to have it any more!

I use this app to usually put on a movie when the remote is on my wife's side of the bed so I don't need to reach over her to grab it when she's sleeping. Previously, I would get 1-2 ads while usually the remote to do about 30 actions. However, in the latest update you now get ads every 2-5 actions. It's gotten ridiculous, almost unusable. If you want to force people to buy the app then don't make the app free on the app store. Otherwise, make a usable free version.

I paid for the non subscription version where I would not have to pay monthly, but rather pay a more expensive one time purchase. It worked for about a month, then is now asking for payment and not working anymore. I reached out with the issue, did all the troubleshooting they recommended, and still not working. I do NOT recommend. Do not use or purchase.

I never review apps, but this definitely deserves one. This 'app' is absolutely unusable, never have I ever seen an app so loaded with advertisements, not the usual ones you see, but ads that impede the function of the app itself. Every action you perform within the app will cause an ad to pop up, you can't skip them, and often times the ad will warrant the need to close and then reopen the app because the ad will just not go away. Then there's pop up that practically demands you to 'upgrade'.

This app is VERY CONVENIENT for when our remote is missing!! HOWEVER, I am giving it 2 stars because of its recent update added ADS. This is an EXTREME annoyance because you do not know when the ad will come and as I'm pressing buttons on the remote, the ad pops up and then it takes you deeper in the ad to buy whatever the advertisement is!! I'm not impressed with this change!!!!

It works for maybe 2 button presses then constantly pops up an ad and makes it to where you can't use it at all even after dismissing the ads. Closing it and opening it doesn't even work. I was able to select 1 show then I wasn't even able to get it to go to my home screen or back or anything. Every single button popped an ad up. I won't be forced into paying 1¢ much less $25. False advertising. This is NOT a free app w purchases in it. It's a straight up shady pay for app all the way. Liars.
