This app is terrible. It looks half decent (I like the purple) but the functionality is trash at best and broken at worst. BB&T did it better, let me keep using their app instead or fix this one. Specifics for those who care includes but is not limited to: Sudden unexpected logouts. Deposit feature not working. Scheduled payments not working. App crashing when you hit the back button. App crashing when your phone screen goes dark. I'm sure I'll have more soon. Unfortunately.

Just switched to this app and now I keep getting android notifications that say "just letting you know..." but when I tap the notification to view it in its entirety, it just opens the app. Can't figure out what it's trying to tell me every 5 minutes so I had to turn off app notifications, which probably negates the security alerts I set up. 🙁 Also, I've noticed I can not select a statement to view. The selection list opens and I select an account from the list, but then the selection I chose is not shown so it essentially does nothing.

Looking for a banking app that will make you want to switch to another bank? Found it. Just horrible. I rely on a fluid app experience with no issues. Being forced to switch from BBT to the new merged brand Truist is bad enough. But this app is slow, defective, poor UX, weird color scheme, not easy to navigate and I haven't even tried most banking functionality yet. And frankly, I do not dare to. Tried to activate biometrics and get stuck on a page that tells me to click next, but there is no button or link or anything. Hate this app.

Wow this app is just laughable. I loved the BBT app. You could see a quick preview of your account before having to sign in which was so convenient. The amount of $ posted in my accounts were always accurate. The app rarely had issues. This new app won't even allow me to use fingerprint as a password. It crashes 70% of the time I use it, or it just refuses to open in the first place. It's constantly telling me all this money is "pending" and lying about my posted amount. What happened?

Has its moments here and there and you get an error logging in. But for the most part the app works great. You can easily use mobile deposit, transfer between your various accounts, and quickly see any charges made to your account. The little tips that track your spending are nice also. It alerted me to the trash service price going up when the trash company said nothing about it. Also nice to know if you're spending more on fuel, groceries, eating out, etc. so you can adjust as needed!

I mainly use it for mobile deposits. Love being able to take a picture and send it in without having to go up to the bank anymore. however the auto capture feature is absolutely terrible. I'm constantly having to manually capture the pictures of our deposits for checks, the auto capture works may be 1 out of 10 times

I miss the bb&t app so much. Truist app is so dysfunctional. Mobile deposits don't work half the time. Absolutely will not auto take when I use other banking apps that take the picture faster than I could manually and it works fine. Then sometimes it doesn't recognize that there IS in fact a signature on the endorsement line. Tried to add external account, screen just goes black and nothing happens. How can a multi-billion dollar bank not afford to have a halfway decent app.

Bill pay doesn't work and mails out checks 2 months late just to make tour venders charge you late fees, their location finder is hidden, so it's difficult to find locations. They do this on purpose because they don't want you to find truist locations since they want to charge you non trust ATM fees to make you double pay on every withdrawal. Their service in the branches is awful, if you get any service at all, which sometimes you don't. They charge you money for a check book too. Not good bank

This app is terrible . Every time I try to log in it shows me a error message and then takes forever .. The app is always down or working on maintenance. It is super slow. I just use to check my acct balance and verify pmts. I tried to deposit check and had alot of issues. You really need to fix this app. And so many other customers are also complaining about same issues from the very beginning and seems like nothing has changed. I had no issues with Zelle. Thx.. but if you CARE please fix ASAP!

Very unresponsive in construction phase of loan. Got 13 closing papers with different amounts due-changing the amount we needed to pay. Took a year to close the damn loan. Able to pay over the phone. Current loan officer a little more responsive. Never there when you need them. Not a one-stop shop. Call to get insurance and property tax included in the mortgage and was advised to call somewhere else. Not helpful at all.

The app has been very helpful with mobile deposits, but it could use a few updates. 1. Automatically read the deposit value from the check picture 2. Automatic check picture doesn't always capture the image. Note: I use a black background to allow the app to recognize the check. Of those updates were made, this would be 5 stats for me.

Have always been able to do everything I need to do in banking quickly with the app.. We were in paris over the summer and I'll lost my wallet. How is able to lock and credit cards so there was no fraudulent activity. Better yet my wife had a credit card. And we were able to unlock the card use it and then relocate it. So definitely a great app.

It has all the features you could want but it's super slow. I also have an ameris account and the truist app takes about 45 seconds longer to open than the ameris and they look identical like it's the same app. Ameris has all the same features. Other than that I've had no issues or anything and it supports zelle and transfers and you can cash a check in the app.

The app has, multiple times, opened with completely no way to interact with it. Nothing you touch works, closing and reopening the app does nothing to fix it. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app does nothing to fix it. The app is completely non-responsive until it decides to fix itself seemingly at random. I am changing banks and am editing my review to tell you to do the same. If they don't even care enough to fix a simple issue they don't deserve your money or patronage. Truly Horrible.

Very Okay; the app offers a lot of features--some useful, others not. It's best feature is the quick ability to deposit checks. There's a bug with Zelle, which isn't fun. Other complaints I have are with Truist transfer fees if transfer is initiated from Truist. If I initiate a transfer from my Credit Union out of Truist, I don't pay fee. But if I initiate from within Truist to send to CU, I get hit. So sleazy to hit customers with fees. But that's ethics; not an app developer problem.

Unreliable anymore. 90% of the time I can't login, transfers between accounts aren't working, and forget trying to upload a check. No matter what you do it won't be able to recognize the check. Ive been using this app for years and never had a problem until this year. Which is very unfortunate as almost all the physical locations are gone so I have no choice but to do Mobil banking.

Great app with different Insights of useful information. Including: monthly cash flow; unusual or suspicious transactions, different amounts charged (rent, medicine, groceries, etc), options for savings, perks, and rewards. Also, I can choose the dashboard that best meets my banking needs. Everything I need is at my fingertips!. Truist excells in banking and customer care.

If I could give this app a negative score as in minus ☆'s, I would! Now, granted, I am particularly aggravated right now! I work late nights, and It never fails, if it is after hours or on the weekends and I need the mobile app, since I'm usually sleeping during business hours, IT IS ALWAYS "working on enhancements's" or "Error" try again later. If I wanted to do it later, I would stay awake all morning and drive to the bank! I get it, but come on! Seems to be affecting this rating section also!

Overall it's a good banking app. However there is a bug with sending money with zelle that's been going on for over a month now and still hasn't been fixed. Anytime you select a contact to send money too it closes down the app and crashes. Please fix this feature as it is a main source of sending and recieving money for me through personal and business!

I'm struggling to stay with Truist because this app is unreliable. Sometimes the transfer function works, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes I can use biometrics to login, sometimes I can't. Sometimes I login and in the middle of performing a task, it shuts down. Extremely frustrating. If I didn't have so many things connected I would close my account and move to another bank. Please fix the inconsistent and unreliable experience.
