More About True Fear: Forsaken Souls 2

True Fear: Forsaken Souls Part 2 is the sequel to one of the most captivating escape games, which won acclaim for its story and mysterious horror atmosphere.
Note that the game has a demo lasting over an hour, but payment is required to unlock the full 12-hour (average) experience.

True Fear: Forsaken Souls Part 1 is #3 on GamesRadar's favorite 10 hidden object games list and held this position for many years ! The game won praise for its "engrossing puzzle gameplay" and being an "impressively scream-worthy experience". We've built on our experience making a story-rich, mystery-filled, horror escape game to craft a better and significantly longer adventure sequel.
Holly Stonehouse followed the clues from her old family house to ultimately arrive at Dark Falls Asylum and see once again that someone was already there, waiting for her. However, this time she is no longer an observer, and what is following her is no longer just a shadow - the danger is real and the asylum comes alive at night. By collecting clues, perusing notes and photographs, unlocking devious puzzles and piecing together complex sequences of actions, help Holly escape the night and find the answers. Was her mother crazy or was there really another sister? Did her mother commit suicide? How could Dahlia "come back" after the fire, and who or what is the terrifying thing that Holly saw at Heather's house and that has followed her ever since?
True Fear: Forsaken Souls is a trilogy, and Part 2 – which is longer and has twice the puzzles and even better graphics – will not disappoint! If you are a newcomer to the series, please try the demo!

Wow, I didn't think it could get much better than the first, they've easily doubled up on EVERYTHING! Art, graphics, suspense, story and the joy of solving the puzzles!! Honestly I couldn't stop playing until I was done with the whole thing. Rarely does something grab my attention like this did. The price is very worth it, and more! Now the worst part of it... I have to wait for the 3rd part. Lol. Great job guys definitely the best game out there for a phone or tablet, hands down.

So much content for $5! Most puzzles are logical extensions of the world; very little pixel hunting (there were probably three or four occasions in the whole game when I had to use a built-in hint because I would never have noticed that drawer or whatever). Excellent storytelling with good pacing. Beautifully rendered graphics really bring the Art Deco buildings to life. If it weren't haunted, I would totally want to visit Dark Falls Asylum!

Debatable between 4 and 5 stars I went with 5. The first one seemed a bit easier to navigate, but don't let that detour you. It's an excellent game and full of problem solving puzzles. I liked the feature of the first one where you could pick adventure or hidden object puzzles. Nonetheless, it's worth playing/buying. It's in the horror category so keep that in mind if you scare easily.

What a masterpiece! This game was easily the longest game in this genre that I've played. Puzzles were all unique and enjoyable. Storyline is weird, creepy and interesting, but easily skipped if your the type to play that way. Solid all the way through, a couple of the puzzles are a little buggy but manageable (update may fix). A lot of hard work and care went into this makeing it a steal for $5 bucks. Can't wait for part 3! :D

I've gone through this game three times now. I love it! imo Not as scary as the first one, except for one scene involving tokens, but I also knew what to expect. Graphics and story line are awesome. Controls can be a little sensitive at times and there *can* be a glitch with the lock under the bar (Not all of the pieces showed up in the kit, only about half - happened just once). Overall a great game and I'm looking forward to the third chapter but hopefully the scare factor will go up a bit.

Loved this one! While the first game was great, this was an improvement in all parts! You can now zoom into pictures, and even the environment, so you're never confused by what something says if you have a smaller screen. That was my biggest issue with the last one. Also this one is longer without feeling drawn out, which was awesome! I can't wait to play the final one when it releases!

Super fun, great looking, great story. Minus one star for some interface issues - positioning the statue as an example - and a lack of clues for the library book-fetcher. The rest was fantastic, confusing, creepy as heck. There are loose ends I'm hoping will be tied up in a sequel? Fingers crossed! I also appreciate the try-before-you-buy model. Very happy to pay hardworking developers for great entertainment. I'm looking forward to the next release from this team!

Still a five star game- the graphics are even better than the first one and even more places to explore- but not gonna lie, I was disappointed. I really enjoy the hidden object scenes- it's the reason I found (and then got hooked on) True Fear in the first place. I didn't know that this one didn't have those! The hidden object scenes, along with the puzzles, help to break up what could otherwise become a little monotonous- search area, find tool, find where to use it, and repeat over and over.

Captivating and suspenseful, this is one of the best games so far. Love the graphics and mysterious plot. I'm so happy to have found such a well designed and user friendly game. You can set the game on easy, advanced or expert levels, hints are readily available if you get stuck. The puzzles are unique...not too hard yet still tricky to solve. The game flows seamlessly with a nice mix of action, puzzles and video. I'm totally, hooked! And thanks to the support staff for responding quickly

Good game, gets slightly repetitive. The graphics are good. Some of the details are so small, they can be hardly seen. Audio is okay, and it could have probably used better music. The authors tried to make a story out of it but it is vague and hard to follow. Some locations showed actions that did not exist. A few puzzles made no sense. The best part is the game is long and entertaining. Some of the puzzles were repetitive but manageable. The end result is a fun game. Highly recommend!!

I really enjoyed this game! Though I wish there was a failsafe for the hints, like a "are you sure you want to use this hint?" warning, because I accidentally hit the hint button once and then couldn't earn that achievement :( Also, the demon statue towards the end kept locking up; I tried starting it over like 20 times, but it kept happening and I had to use the skip option, so I missed out on that achievement too. Otherwise, the game is totally worth the purchase and will keep my 5 star rating!

I cannot describe the level of difficulty of this game, but I can say that it takes great focus. I'm playing at advanced level and I have to set it aside at times in order to figure on a different approach. Once you get the map it's like a breath of fresh air, but the challenge just gets harder! Still haven't completed the story, but I must complete it because it's so vexing and so much spooky fun! Rapidly becoming my favorite engrossing game as I unravel the story...

I'm so surprised that such an excellent game, with an excellent storyline, excellent cut scenes and decent amount of playtime is available on a phone. I would say it is good enough to be a platform game. Is it scary, not for me. Are the puzzles difficult, yes some are frustrating and require patience and figuring out the configuration. Very well made, can't wait for 3.

Not yet 5 stars. Why? Some of the puzzles are non-sensical. One example; a funnel that was needed to fill a photo developer had to be found by unscrewing an air grill. REALLY! That is dumb!. I keep saying that internal dialogue would help. I needed something to pour developer, and the funnel should be on the table or drawer, or closet; plain to see. And if I did not quickly figure it out, my internal dialogue should have finally reasoned it out. Needs still a lot of work on such.

I'm most of the way through the full game and really happy that it's so long - it's been awesome so far! The atmosphere is amazing, the gameplay is engrossing, the story is super eery and chilling, and it has very occasional but usually very well-done jump scares. I'm taking my time playing it to draw out the fun. Couple things: 1) Choosing a puzzle difficulty level - you can choose puzzle and gameplay difficulties separately, which is awesome! I like moderately challenging puzzles and found them easier than expected on Medium difficulty. I know you can change this but wanted to mention that, if you're a puzzle fan, go with the difficult setting from the start. I will keep mine on medium so I can report back, though (will replay on difficult later). 2) Choosing a gameplay difficulty level - I hate sparkles but chose the medium difficulty because I wanted to use hints if needed, especially because there is no written (ie, searchable) walkthrough yet that I can find. The sparkles aren't too bad in medium, though, and ironically often are found on objects that have no meaning or interactive value. This will annoy people who depend on the sparkles to find important objects, but for those of us who dislike sparkles and only want the hint availability, you can just ignore them because they aren't very informative anyway. It would be nice to customize settings (ie, hint but no sparkles), but that's a minor issue. 3) I did find a bug with the hint system - in medium difficulty, it restarts "filling up" if you open the map. I'm very rarely using hints, but when I am, I don't want to have to wait for a refill when I haven't used a hint in ages. It also took me a while to figure out what was happening, so I kept accidentally resetting the hint by opening the map and having to wait a long time. 4) A commenter on youtube mentioned a glitch in one of the puzzles where, if you press exit or reset, it resets the whole game instead of just the puzzle. I don't know details but wanted to pass on the warning because that's a horrible consequence. Otherwise, I'm so happy this finally came out. I was specifically looking for games like True Fear and coming up with nothing...then it turned out the sequel had just been released! Yay!

Y'all did it again, another exceptional game! Literally can't wait until pay day so I can unlock parts 1 and 2. Turned my volume up for the 1st time and the soundtrack team did their thing cause I turned it right back off lol it's scary good and too realistic for me ha. Again, graphics were phenomenal and story line on point. Quickly becoming my favorite game developers. Everything is taken to another level. Awesomeness job you guys!

The only problem I have with the game was the lag I encountered trying to brush the snow off the clue in front of the actual hospital. I eventually over came it, but it took several tries of closing and restarting the game. Everything else was AMAZING. I've come up with my own story to the ending of the game, lol, because I'm getting bored with waiting.

I love this series. Just enough spooky to keep it interesting. The storyline, graphics, gameplay and controls are well done, as usual. The length is adequate. There's a fast travel map and a journal with lots of info. I still need answers to some of the questions raised throughout the game. The big one is, when is Part 3 coming out?? It is now 2020 and I'm still waiting. It'd be a shame to just give up and quit after promising an ending. So what's the ETA fellas??

amazing game both have a unique and crazy storyline. Definitely a bit of a nail bitter!!! I can't wait for the 3rd one it's been a few years since I first played these two, Definitely going to play them again! Any idea when the 3rd game will be ready?? you all are killing me with the wait... I NEED to find out what happens next in the story! 100% recommend this game to all who love a good well written storyline and many different yet challenging puzzles. I can't wait for the 3rd one to come out!

Tried a demo for part 1 and got hooked. Bought part 1, then bought part 2. Now dev said they're working on part 3 and I can't friggin wait. These games are pretty long and have a good story line, so you definitely get your money's worth. They're pretty creepy too and the puzzles are all different and not too challenging and not too easy. There are a lot of places to go so I love that I can use the map to quickly teleport to where something can be done. Keep up the good work!
