I started using this app because Google maps had temporarily taken away the option to select the time you want. I'm glad I did. It's so convenient. This app does show you the progress you're making on the map, but it goes one step further and actually tells you when a destination is two stops away and when your stop is coming up. That feature, alone, has proven invaluable. It's also much more transparent with how long the wait is for the next bus. I now prefer this app over Google maps.

This app is the reason why US has no public transit. It's an utter and complete failure. You can't make a worse transition app if you try. It tells you one time of departure, and then changes to another. I have an improvement suggestion. Just generate random numbers, it will be better. Uninstalled with the intention to never see this idiotic app again. Thanks for nothing. Actually, no. Thanks for being evil. DO NOT EVER USE THIS APP. TRUST ME.

After a few days, it appears the app is working again. It appears there was an update, and perhaps that was what caused previous issues. It's not perfect, but it is a pretty reliable app, AND it's the only one I know of that's free. All others want $$$ for accurate bus locations. This one is free, but sometimes the GPS position of busses is off, and sometimes it has the wrong bus number connected to the bus that shows up, and you can't submit a way to fix that.

Pretty nice app overall, but sometimes it lies about the times the train arrives and will give you options that are significantly later than necessary. Which can be frustrating when you need to get to places by certain times and have to lie saying you left 10+ minutes ago to get accurate times on the trains arrivals to certain stations.

Excellent app. Real time tracking is excellent and much better than my transit agency's app (septa). My only wish would be the ability to change one's commute hours - it is 7-9am and 4-6pm exclusively, but my commute starts at 6:30am and 3:30pm so my options are either to receive service notifications at all hours or only after I would need them

It's ok. Sometimes better than Google Maps, sometimes not. Sometimes it doesn't give a route worth taking. Other times it gives me 1 quicker than I thought possible. But, you need to realize when we are at the damned stop not to route us on the 2nd and 3rd buses coming but on the next 1. This is annoying AF.

Transit is my number 1 mass transit everything app! This app does it all for my trip planning, bus and light rail line riding and does an outstanding job of letting me know when the next bus will arrive; it will even show approximately how full that bus is. But, if I need to walk instead of use a bus or train it can help with that. While I don't use it for bicycles or scooters because I am severely visually impaired, this app can handle those options too. THANK YOU, TRANSIT!

The app is good... But it would be nice if our rankings actually incentivised a reason to take the bus all the time. Like make a point system that partners with casinos or hotels along certain routes and allow us to obtain points for a comped night stay or dining voucher. Not only would it provide more frequent use of the bus system it may also help pay for repairs on the busses that desperately need it. It would also be nice to increase the gps accuracy on the app.

Pretty good for navigation, the ticket purchasing EZfare thing is rough though. Doesn't allow one letter names, doesn't accept Discover credit. I've also had to restart the app to get it to work at all. Considering ticket purchasing might be done in a rush that's pretty bad. Also what's the deal with offering more routes for a fee? Edit: This has been steadily improving I think. Payment seems better. Royale is included for everyone in my city now, but I guess it made sense as a funding source.

1. The option to purchase tickets does not exist unless you allow the app access to your location. Though it does not tell you this unless you go digging through the FAQ. 2. When planning a trip, you cannot purchase mixed sets of tickets (some regular, some youth) at the same time. 3. It says you can use Google Pay, but it errors out everytime you attempt to use it. This forces you to enter your credit card information into their system. Has potential, but these issues need to be fixed first.

Im a Millenial,My city switched over to this app & though the design is simple, it is not the most accessible to the disabled or the impoverished. Having "NO OTHER CHOICE" than to use this app is absurd. 1st it is in dark mode, which is no easy adjustment. Though essentially simple, the design itself invokes stress, rather than bringing upon a calm. Because my city switched over to this solely... I have no choice but to go to the station to pick up paper maps, further downgrading accessibility.

Atrociously inaccurate more often than not. GPS symbols of incredible wrong and need you to believe the buses are either much closer or much further away than they actually are. Of course it doesn't help that the COTA bus system provides appallingly bad service and routinely runs late or isut doesn't show up at all, but this app is very little help in actually helping you get where you're going. Other reviews that say the app automatically eliminates viable routes prematurely are correct as well

It was a great app until recently. Now when I click on my route to or from school it shows a significant waiting time between busses even though there's usually only a 5 minute and even then I don't need to transfer as the one route continues as the next one that I need. Please fix. I rely heavily on this app as it was more accurate than Google maps

Update: Still crashes regularly. Gave in and paid. Some features work now that I pay but still has bugs that crash the app repeatedly on my modern Samsung phone. Even worse now. No longer works great now that features are being removed from the free version. Miss the Go feature, which no longer functions most of the time. Nice to see available options nearby.

The app has a nice UI, but recent monetization changes have made it essentially unusable. They've made it impossible to see anything but the three nearest routes to your GPS location. At any transit hub, this means you arbitrarily might not be able to view a bus/train you're standing next to, and never one a ~5min walk away. NYC data is pulled from the public MTA tracker. If another Transit user is on a route, you get a live update, but it's rarely different and relies on them keeping users.

So many problems - can't list them all. The most fundamental one is that trip planning often gives nonsensical results. I take a regular trip from A to B using line C. However, when the app is in a bad mood, it instead says to take line D, which would take much more time as it involves a lengthy walk to the bus stop. Google Maps lists the correct route. This app desperately need much more thorough testing before any release.

I've had a lot of good experiences with the Transit app, showing me where buses are and decent if not entirely optimal routes to my destinations. However, the negative one kind of dominate my perspective and rating. I looked up a route for someone else, and for the next 20 minutes I got a notification every minute that the minutes decreased. It was extremely annoying. Please fix. There seemed to be no way to stop it.

I find that the app over all is pretty good. However I find that the search box stops working after I use it once. Also as for toe go feature I find it to be rally nice. However having any information relating to delays and or when you are getting close to your stop ould be spoken by talkback on either phoe, smart watch or both.c

Excluding the Q6 and Q7 buses in NYC, it is pretty accurate. Walking times between transportation and destinations are usually wrong. It takes 19 minutes to get out of Grand Central LIRR station, not 4 minutes. Also, there should be no negative times. I repeatedly have -8 to -16 minutes wait for the Q6 during morning rush hours. Finally, if a bus is late, do not adjust the times of the other busses to maintain 5 or 10 minutes spacing on the schedule.

Gonna use Google maps from now on, the best part of the app was being able to see, in real time in advance, specific stops and transportation so you can change and move in advance without needing to exit out of your current route. The fact that you now have to pay for premium for a "teleport feature" to do that now takes away my use for the app.
