There needs to be more practical information about how to use this app if you seriously intend for infrequent transit users and out-of-towners to use it. It's super frustrating that the 'More Info' section just links to a Youtube video-- if you're in public without headphones, the video is useless because you can't hear it. There needs to be written information as well. It would also be nice if it explained somewhere that you may be asked to tap your ticket when you show it to the bus driver so that the background color changes, verifying that the ticket is real/valid. The app itself seems to work OK, but it is not intuitive at all.

In concept, it's an amazing collection of transport in one digital package. But it's not much use if it takes longer to load my purchased ticket for visable verification, than it does for you bus to drive down the street and stop on front of you. Too slow to load. Edit: It's gotten worse. The moment your screen closes, it closes your ticket. So you open your phone, and either wait for the app to reboot, or restart it yourself from scratch. Then slowly reload the ticket from the in-use page.

i used this app for years with relative ease across multiple phones when suddenly this past month it's been terrible. it's lagging, it's slow, and it freezes. it takes me nearly 10 minutes(no, really) to buy/load a transfer now. i clear the cache, cycle through the app, hoping this at least does something, but don't think it does. i also have a locked transfer that i purchased YEARS ago that i can't use, can't remove and it contributes to lag. it's horrible and barely usable. fix this garbage.

This app is pretty bad. I sign up and immediately get an error: "Your email address is not verified." well obviously not, I just told you my email address. Then the verification email fails to arrive so I'm told to hit "Reset password." The reset won't allow me to keep the password I just chose. Is it too much to ask that you allow a "resend verification email" button instead? Also, don't make my first experience with the app be an error!

First, I'm really thankful Metro makes this option available - I commute exclusively by bus/bike and it's so handy to have this if I can't find my pass. Unfortunately I can't seem to get a ticket ready in time to present it to the driver as I'm boarding, because it keeps telling me I need to "redownload" my tickets to use them even tho I am connected to data. Shutting off WiFi and closing/re-opening the app seems to resolve it after a few tries, but by then then it's too late.

Signed up using an email address. The system creates a Transit Go account, but it doesn't send a verification email. As a result, there's no way to log in. This occurred when using two different email addresses from two different providers. There is nothing in the junk or spam folders. Despite what the app says, you can reset your password, but it still doesn't verify the email address. I gave up and bought paper tickets.

Terrible. It's as slow to load a it is to renew your DL. And if you switch between apps but leave your active ticket up and let it run in the background, when you go back yo it it'll refresh the app and you'll have to wait for everything to reload. So jumping between busses takes longer to pay then just spending the $2 or what ever when you jump on. Though if you are going between multiple busses this is cheaper. But the ORCA card is far easier to use. And it feels like it's cheaper.

Never know how long it will take to activate ticket. Error screen occurs...Have to close app to start over too often. Sometimes it can take the entire trip before the bright color ticket appears on the screen...20, 30 minutes. Some drivers want to see the bus icon float across the screen...apparently they seem to think it's good etiquette to reach over to start touching my phone to tap the screen. Not everywhere has good internet connection to the app. It would be awesome if it was reliable.

UPDATE: I resumed using this app once bus fares were reinstated. For several months months, it worked great. Around mid-September it once again became nearly unusable. Constant crashes and long waits when reloading an active ticket. After working great for a while, it is once again awful. This app shpuld be trashed and something new created. After three years, will uninstall

Developer: I don't understand why you don't integrate the best features of orca, such as inter-system transfers. Why not leverage the nfc chips already in our phone, so we can tap our phones as we walk by, instead of interrupting whatever we're doing on phones to scan a code? Why don't you enable the beta test feature built in to Google play? As it is, it's a functioning app, and a desperately needed step up from the antiquated orca card interface (which is trash, to be clear).

The app functions, albeit slowly, for basic ticket purchases and usage. However, there is a "rewards" section designed to incentivize transit use. Great! Free tickets! This section is *just broken* on Android. When you redeem a reward for a ticket, it tries to use an in-app link that is crafted wrong and just dumps you into a browser open to the play store page, irrevocably losing your reward in the process. Basic testing would have caught this.

Barely usable after the last update. It was OK before but now constantly freezing and crashing, takes a very long time to load anything. Takes at least 5 min to load your ticket. Can't even preload a ticket because if the phone screen times out and turns off the app crashes. The same thing happens when switching to another app, this one crashes.

I would love to give this application a 5 star review but there are a few things that need to be implemented. For starters, I am unable to add more than one stop in the trip planner. This would be immensely helpful to rectify the second problem with this application. Which is that when planning a trip I am routed to an out of the way ferry; when I am certain that an alternate and more optimal route is available. If adding extra stops were implemented, I think I could give this app five stars.

Extremely slow. The app developers should try being the dude trying to board a bus while this thing loads super slow, asks you to leave feed back, and the loads slow again. Unacceptable. Edit: its still trash. I travel a ton, and this is perhaps the worst transit app I've used. Its slow and buggy. Embarrassing for the home of Amazon and MS to not have passable tech.

1, The trip planner for some reason is much worse than Google maps. You would think with more taylored info than Google, it would do a bit better. 2, I hate keeping the bus driver waiting, but this app sometimes takes forever to activate a ticket. Loading for 5 seconds > requesting re-download of tickets for 5 seconds > "Something went wrong" message if you try to activate a ticket in the first 6 or 7 seconds of the app being responsive. 3, Lacking info for unfamiliar folks what ticket to buy.

Don't purchase more than one ticket at a time. You won't be able to use them in the event you need to change your phone. The tickets are locked to the device you've purchased them on, despite needing to be "downloaded from the cloud" regularly.. instead of attaching to your login or payment info, for whatever bizarre reason. I lost 10 days of tickets over this nonsense. Enjoy my free pittance, you hacks.

Works good for buses for me. You can prebuy many bus tickets; they save on your phone and don't expire. But not lightrail, those are 1 week max. Also lightrail doesn't take certain cards. Payment option just doesn't show up. Possibly confusing. Probably bad if you lose phone service before activating ticket, which can happen underground. When you first open app in the morning it wants to redownload tickets for some reason. Doesn't seem to react until app is again opened.

UPDATE: Hours after I placed a 3 Star review I attempted to buy a ticket with the app while downtown. The app completely failed to process my purchase. If you are in Seattle, just get an ORCA card. --- Works great for Seattle transit. Has a nice reward system that I've come to rely on the free tickets from. The problem is the app, or the server, or my phone will occasionally have an issue and without fail I will lose the points and lose the free ticket while trying to redeem it.

Buggy, can't sign into my account despite being able to sign into their Bytemark payment portal in a web browser. I have made multiple ticket purchases, but cannot log into this app to retrieve them or use them. Keep getting an error that says, "Something went wrong, please try again." I've reinstalled the app. Changed my password. Restarted my phone. Nothing works. Terrible system.

Update: Tried two more times to install. Whitelisted it with my VPN app and that solved the crashing issues. Still not the easiest to use app but it's at least working now. If you have a VPN on your Android phone you'll probably need to whitelist this app to make it work properly. Wow. Ironically, this transit ticket app is a train wreck. Constant crashes after initial installation. Unable to even set up and buy 1st ticket. With all of the similar horrible reviews why isn't this app been updated in over 14 months?
