This app is good for discounted train tickets, but the perks it gives just aren't worth it. Offered a £20 cashback if I referred enough people to the app, and within the closing 30 minutes just failed to register any of the people that accepted my invitation, proving to be a major waste of time. Getting train tickets has been a reasonably decent experience for me though, haven't had any issues so far with that.

Payment methods really limited and rarely work. Keep trying to buy a ticket on route to the station and end up having to use trainline instead. It's a shame as the app is otherwise great.

Cheeky buggers. They force you to split tickets, but they don't tell you the restrictions. If it's MCN/MK/LON it's not any return, you have to come back on a train via MK. Also, when you cancel, it's not a till you cancel you then get told £103 ticket is £80 in a refund. Bunch of scammers. Stick to the TRAINLINE app

You need to know what you're doing. It does find split tickets (not always the cheapest) and does not charge fees. Since a recent upgrade though (Feb 2024 perhaps) the information about changing trains can be misleading. Recently the app said "11 Minutes change over" for a connection through Bristol, but the actual schedule had just 2 minutes. That'll be impossible to get in most cases. So, buyer beware!

I sent the app to my mother and sister to get the £20 cashback deal. I reached £19.70 to unlock it. I sent it to my brother and my friend. All of a sudden the app doesn't register the new users I was inviting and I don't get the cashback. The next day the cashback was reduced to £18. What a scam??? Now I'm not sure if I trust this app with booking train tickets

My experience with this was very very bad because I booked a fair with trainpal and fair cancelled due to some reasons but they didn't inform me my appointment was missed and then I requested for refund they emailed me that your refund is accepted and its processing normally it takes 7 to 10 working days but I am still waiting for my refund from more than one month. They didn't contact me about my refund.

Keeps changing the time of the ticket, I click 10:25, when I get to the end its changed to 14:05. This led me to booking a 10:25, train, kept going through the pages and seeing 10:25, then after payment it's given me a later train. The customer service so far is shocking too. I have emailed you twice and you haven't even bothered replying.

Don't update your app till they fix the unmentioned 'innovation'of defaulting to collect tickets rather than etickets. They claim to have fixed bugs in the latest release but not this one. What genius broke it so that one of its reasons for this app's existence (having a barcode ticket) has been changed? Sort it out trainpal.

The app is giving me the full email addresses of people that have signed up!!! Some of the people that have signed up don't have *** in the address. I shouldn't be able to see this! We will know if the app developers actually care or not if i get the generic thank you for your feedback message that everyone gets or i get something else.

This app used to be excellent, and I used it every day for my morning commute, but since the last update it no longer provides tickets as QR codes that can be scanned at the ticket gate - instead you have to use a code to print them at the station. This sadly makes it impractical for me to continue using.

I was let down by the customer service which is complicated absent and showed me zero empathy. My tran was cancelled and I got an email from trainpal saying so and how to ask for the refund. When following the steps I was not able to select the option "train cancelled" and just ended up asking for a refund which means you get charged £4 commissions because it's you that decide not to travel anymore. Customer service did not help at all even though it was obvious my train was cancelled

App is good for simple routes as it will automatically search for split ticket price. This benefit is significantly devalued by how annoying the app is (constant pop ups for promos of zero interest), the so-so customer service, and the very unfavorable T&C's whenever anything goes wrong. That being said, I have not found a better alternative. Fingers crossed that someone creates a good app in this space.

Quite good but doesn't allow Paypal payments which has a 'pay in 3' option. So useful for more expensive tickets. Trainline does have this option so I will use them instead for 3 credit free monthly Paypal payments. Essential as an option these days.

Often cheaper than Trainline but having to wait several.minutes for your tickets to appear is a nightmare when you are trying to get through barriers...speed it up folks! Plus, the app interface isn't that clear and is a bit clunky to use.

Convenient generally but has refused me refunds for a cancelled trip and a trip delayed over 30 minutes. Also a couple of times has refused to let me buy a ticket at a certain time, and only then allowed it once it had doubled in price. I am not pleased. I would not trust this app for any tickets that were not a very local journey 👎

It's nothing to do with the app itself. The main problem was train replacement with a bus and train cancelation due to staff shortage. 50% of my trip was done by bus. If I would like to go by bus , I would buy a bus ticket. In total, my journey took 2 hrs longer than should be. And much less comfortable.

TrainEnemy. Stole from me twice. Customer services don't care. Worst (not only) example: Railcards only activate when you buy a ticket (silly me buying that earlier to save money), with no pre-purchase warning. Instead of refunding after a month of non use, it activated when I next bought a ticket WITHOUT any railcard discount and they refused a refund. Meanwhile I'd bought a railcard elsewhere because I needed it right away (of course)! Finally offered a £2 voucher vs £32 loss. Use SplitMyFare!

No Problems - always a good choice of tickets so I can choose which one suits me best in terms of cost and flexibility. Also hv a railcard which makes it a seamless experience.

Charges you for a refund so watch out! Would not recommend this app or website to anyone. UPDATE: Turns out they didn't even manage to refund me correctly and only bothered to tell me 5 days after the original refund was meant to be sent. Wish I could rate the company 0 stars. UPDATE 2: end of week two and still no refund. Complained to their finance department and was told they would "look into it". Yeah, totally believe that.

It's great when it works but a nightmare the moment a problem occurs. Told me my payment had an error, only to charge me anyway and not deliver the ticket. I'm in the process of trying to get a refund, but it doesn't log any data unless your ticket has been officially issued, which I can already sense will be a problem. Edit: Customer Service was a pain to communicate with. But to their credit, I was refunded eventually.
