New to playing this and gotta say it's brilliant. Takes a while to get used to so if your new to it you got to go through the demo games. I then played a few challenge maps and endless game with all hazards turned off. Now playing endless game with all hazards on. And it's completely free to play!!

It is a good game. It doesn't seem like there are any major differences with the regular pro version (probably only the speed button). but the menus here are really convoluted. In the original pro version I can find things a lot easier. So I still prefer it over this.

Terrible and overbearing game. Will wipe off your progress to make sure you stick to the supposed storyline and then make you redo all of it on a random timeline which is impossible to stick to. Takes the joy out of building anything, extremely poor design without any consideration about the end user. Moving objects will be painful, popups will keep distracting you and the storyline is extremely shallow and could be discarded. Definitely a vanity project than a game to be enjoyed. Avoid!

Loved playing the game. But there are a few problems. The butcher in the game doesn't collect herbs to make sausages. I tried reporting and had to chat with Netflix customer care for more than half an hour with no success. And now the app doesn't open, saying it has some bugs and keeps on crashing. Please fix it.

At first i was excited playing this oldy game, but after 1 hour of playing something happen 1. When crowded, it become laggy 2. There is a bug when you delete an object like wheat field while your villager harvesting, the game will crash, EVERYTIME you do this, 3. Need an option to autosave every 1, 5, 10 or more minute just in case no. 2 happen accidentally

Needs lots of Improvements. Too many irritating bugs. Location of buildings change automatically when the scenario changes. One has to first locate the buildings to perform actions and some of them are even removed so the entire money and time spent in the planning and strategy is wasted. Have played almost 7-8 scenarios and this is becoming a major turn off. Developers should have done a better job.

Fun game with some annoying issues. The UI, particularly the amount sliders when trading, is really finicky, just give me a text field and or plus and minus buttons. The game is also prone to crashes when you build a large town (in endless mode) when bandits spawn in a large town it's almost a guaranteed crash.

This game has the potential to be great, but the UI needs to easier to use. Also, what is the point of me clearing forests and other areas and putting up buildings only for them to be gone in the chapter update?! It's extremely irritating to place 2 taverns and then only find 1. Also the bandit raids are too long and give no time to rebuild. Definitely needs work.

A huge improvement in terms of smoothness and UI. But it's still the same Townsmen game with nothing new that allows it to stand out from. Previous titles. The main issue for me is there's no cloud function/save so moving to a new device means I lose all my progress Update: 1 November 2023 After the update was installed I lost all progress on my device.

I love townsmen, been playing the og game for years now and happy that netflix acquired it. However, the UI is definitely very irritating, it isn't user friendly at all. So complex than the original and the black color for the settings building menu is definitely bad. Love the game but I'll definitely choose the original than this. Please change the UI.

First off Netflix initiative of getting into games and choosing Townsmen is great, now to the game, it's amazing and a really good city builder with amazing features and many options, you can have a lot of fun, now for the bad part. if you know the original townsmen you can see a huge difference, the U.I in this version absolutely ruins it, it went from one of the most charming and memorable mobile games U.I that i ever seen to a souless bad looking mess for that reason i give only 3 stars.

Wonderful game! I really enjoyed playing Townsmen. The game mechanics is so satisfying, mature, and fulfilling that it allows you to play different scenarios and still have fun. I like the different challenges provided in scenarios. I love the camera feature, which allows you to follow your workers to see why what they are doing. Also, no waiting is required with the fast-forward feature, which allows you to go into a flow while playing a single game.

Nice game. Gave me a feeling of the old 'Settlers' game. Campaign is really short. I was hoping to be given management of bigger towns or settlements, preparing for invasion by other armies outside of the usual barbarians etc. The road construction tool and some sliders in UI are a bit tricky to use. In endless mode, some quests reward (clear the barbarian camps)are too much; you quickly achieve a big treasury. Not enough events to keep you on your toes. Will gladly go back for more content!

App crashes when you change the name before you even get to start the game on Endless mode. Either that or you get taken to the main menu. And there's no way to select small buildings when it's behind taller or bigger structures, you'll have to demolish the bigger one in front of it to have access. Unfortunately, that's true for all buildings as it is built from the ground so have learned that I can't send workers to build it unless I demolish what's in front of the lot.

Not very impressed. It's a great game, but the bugs are super frustrating. You can't even use a custom name on your city. It just resets you back to the main screen. Netflix, fix this. Don't just release new things in your inventory. Work with the publishers you paired with to quash bugs.

Very fun game. Lots of good quests and things to do. Couple of design things that if sorted out would be great. It's annoying that you can't terraform the land. The slider interface is difficult to use in the marketplace. When decorating things out would be nice if you could get closer to the buildings themselves. A wall doesn't look great if you can't attach it to the building it's next to. When upgrading buildings it would be nice if there was physical change. Right now it's not as satisfying.

Has a lot of bugs and lacks a lot of customizations that would make the game better on "endless mode". Bugs: disasters still happen when off, building resources do not show until trader arrives when marketplace is built, placing a building without a worker and accessing it through the sidebar menu locks the screen view unless you select another non-built building, if you didn't press the (x). Until those get fixed it's staying at one star since I can't put it at less stars.

I been playing this game for about a week and made it through the six stages of the tutorial. I was level 15 and starting to really gain growth. Started my game only to find I had completely lost all my progress. The game simply lost my save files. I am not the first to say they have lost his or hers progress. You think Netflix would get the hint and fix the problem.

FINALLY!!! A self-paced game with no ads or in-game purchases. This game is the closest to the original Age of Empire games I've found. Some of the things that could make this game better would be the ability to rotate the map. Allow the soldiers assigned to the military castle spot bandits just like those assigned to towers and outposts. Allow soldiers to engage bandits when in close proximity instead of high-fiving them as they pass each other. Other than that, there's not been any glitches.

Great game, plenty of challenging content. Also, no ads, thank you Netflix. Some other reviews mention buildings being in different locations when the chapter updates. That is only during the tutorial, annoying but not that big of a deal since they are just trying to teach you how to play. One real frustration, the game glitches and won't open sometimes. The only solution I've found is to uninstall. Mostly that has been fine but this time I lost a little progress.
