Used to be fine, and after the most recent update they ruined it. You used to be able to pause and start torrents from the list, now you have to click on the torrent, then pause/start it. But each one has to be individually selected making it tedious to start/stop several torrents at a time. Probably gonna use something else. And that's in the pro version mind you, I can't imagine how riddled with ads the free version must be.

After over a decade of using it on various devices, I'm leaving uTorrent. The newest update is appalling and makes it unusable. An ad pops up and immediately takes you to the play store if you try to close it. This happens every 30 seconds or so. If I'm really lucky, I might get 1 or 2 ad-free minutes before it interferes again. It finishes the execution the ads started with the new issue of downloading files incorrectly so they can't be opened, even when the torrent works elsewhere. I'm done.

Does it's job well, always has. Ads are overly intrusive but it's a free app so I can't really complain. Update: I've downgraded to 4 stars because the ads are even more intrusive then when I first reviewed this app. Sometimes I can't even use the app because it's constantly making me watch the same ad repeatedly. This issue started a few months ago.

Have had good experiences with it thus far, however -- the most recent update seems to have buried download speeds in the options menu for individual torrents, ie seeing how fast something is uploading or downloading requires selecting the specific torrent, clicking a drop-down menu, and going into a detailed menu. This is a genuinely baffling design decision. Please revert, or give us the option to change it in settings. No clue why you'd remove it.

Video ads that pop up are essentially app-breaking for anyone who keeps their phone hooked up to a sound system. Every 10 minutes a loud gaming sound or other ridiculous interruption takes over all audio and interrupts whatever is playing. This fact alone makes μTorrent so frustrating to use that it isn't worth keeping. Aside from that, it works great. Too bad all the good in the world can't make up for the horrible way ads are presented You just lost me to LibreTorrent

Terrible. Ads are out of control. Interface extremely buggy. Many features absent. Does not download properly. I used the windows versions for 13 years and it worked great. The android version gets worse with every update. It displays thumbnails for the wrong torrents. It displays status info on the wrong torrents. It spends hours (12+) DLing at 3+mbps yet no files increase in size and no prog changes. Now using a different torrent app and it works great - fully featured and functional

Have had the pro version for years and loved it, the newest update however...the navigation is trash and can't find the files I've downloaded on my phone other than through the app which forces me to use the poor layout and functionality of the built in players, those players won't let me build a Playlist so I can listen to more than one track at a time. Overall, I think this app should go back to how it was this time last year to fix all problems.

app is having issues, it keeps crashing g saying can not create folder, as if it can not find where to download the torrents to. turning the app on and off and closing will eventually (some time) get it to start up, but it a big pain. I've uninstalled it. it use to be good, even with the annoying full screen ads, but not it's just not functional.

Super fast, always reliable (on all platforms now, mind you). However, I will say, I'm back using the Android app because the uTorrent Web plugin for desktop is just not working for me. It has a great interface and is quite intuitive, but holy moly, it does not work. Pieces seem to be missing on the inside. Anyway not the biggest of deals. I love this app, I promote it every time it comes up in a discussion 👌🏾 Creativity should be shared, torrent on 🤙🏾

Update: Been using the app for 9 years. With recent updates I have to change because it's too buggy, crashes all the time, and the ads make it unusable. There's just too many ads that pop up all the time making me misclick things. Annoying. Lowered to 3 stars. Feel like Im spending more time watching ads than using the app. --Old:The app runs smoothly and has all the features I need. Only thing I don't like are the ads but it's reasonable considering the fact that they provide the app for free.

This is just a solid app. Simple to use, makes torrenting multiple files simultaneously (if you're into that kind of thing) a breeze. Just open a torrent file, and it starts going automatically. No fuss, no muss...it just works. Pause a download, start it up again a day later and it'll pick up right where it left off. Or maybe your last seed decides to call it a night - the app will wait until a new seed or seeds are available and again - pick up right where it left off. It's great.

Used to be a 5-star rating a few years ago, but after using it for the first time on mobile since 2021, I'm taking it down to 3 stars. Ads are overwhelming, intrusive, and have multiple screens to click through. It continues running in the background even when it's inactive, and if you use a task killer to end it, it starts back up in the background. It's best to use this app to download something and then immediately uninstall the app when you're done. This doesn't reflect the PC experience.

Come on, devs. What's going on over there? This used to be better. Could we get some sorting options and more advanced options back in? Dark mode? I paid to remove ads. Why have two versions of the app? It should be one version just ad-based or paid. Didn't know there were two. It should at least tell the user and let us pick which version before paying. I look very forward to fixes. Thank you.

Ad-free pro version is not ad-free! I've been using uTorrent for years on my laptop and like it just fine, so a few months ago I downloaded the android app. But, the ads in this app are insufferable! They're the pop-up kind that fill the whole screen and make you wait 15 or 20 seconds before you can exit them. So, I finally decided to spring for the $2.99 ad-free pro version. And, guess what? It didn't do a thing! I'm seeing the same insufferable ads! Complete rip-off! Extremely unhappy.

Edit - I'll give it 2 stars because I think my issue is not giving them location data. My downloads no longer work I believe if I did grant them location access it would probably work but not interested in providing that to them. The app is pretty basic. There is not much in the way of special features. The app has a bit more ads than it started with but so far you can skip them all in 5 seconds. No complaints. It is easy to use and seems very reliable.

Yikes. I use uTorrent on Windows and that just works, but I uninstalled this app after my first use. I understand your app is ad supported, but no... nobody needs to sit through 3 dumb game ads in a row just to take a completed torrent out of que. There are less annoying free options and super cheap paid options aplenty. Going with one of those. Ain't nobody got time for this awful ad machine.

The ads on this app makes it almost unusable. Full screen minutes long ads that you must watch all the way through, with deceptive x's that if you don't hit perfectly will open the most spyware app you've ever seen in your life in the play store, and even if you hit that x you have to hit it again on another "mini" ad for the thing. And these ads come up as you're just moving through a clunky utorrent ui, opening up a page or hitting a menu. Fully less than 30 seconds between ads in the app.

Constantly turns off my seeds when I don't want it to. The app sends me off platform to websites that I never clicked on. This is a malware/attack site vulnerability. Doesn't display how much memory I have free like some other torrent apps do. The appearance, function and structure is an exact duplicate of the Bit Torrent app. The only difference being that this app is green and the other app is purple.

This app used to be 5 stars for me. Now it does a terrible job of continuing to seed. It's on Wi-Fi almost 100% of the time so it's not a data/connection issue. I have to constantly monitor the app and open it multiple times a day to make sure it's still seeding. I have all Android settings to put it to sleep turned off, so it isn't my phone's settings. Sometimes the app will just randomly pause my torrents for no apparent reason. Edit after a few weeks: this app is utter trash.

A fairly limited app that will constantly drop full screen ads on you that often take over a minute to clear just while you're trying to move through the options on any torrent. The interface requires a bit of back and forth to do anything so you will be seeing those ads a lot. If you are going to spend money on a torrenting app for an ad-free experience you should get one with more options.
