The character design and game play are different from TI 1. So far the game has a pretty similar story, it seems slightly different. The gameplay is clearly not as good as tinker island 1. I've played a couple of hour so far (maybe) and I'm already stuck either because my characters don't have enough energy or because the requirement is too high. I improved their tools but when you need 1k energy to finish a warehouse + it cost 45 energy/character each time you send them building,it's very long

The previous patch note was better. With the new/current patch as of this editing, it's not a great change. The reward may seem better, but not really. Three hour wait time reward is not really bigger, than me just wasting all of my specific character energy on the needed resource spot for those three hours. In facts it is worst. So to put it short this patch, mostly the timed reward for the shards local and other resources are not good. Far too slow at getting the resource needed to build.

I loved the first game, but if you're expecting a repeat then prepare to be disappointed. They regularly break the 4th wall. In the first game, it was rare and clever. Here it feels like it was done because they lacked creativity for the plot. Also, why do you allow the user to waste energy on places only to be told at the end that they are in the wrong place. Not to mention all the fetch quests...find my dog, my cat, my ring, my totem with ridiculous energy costs. You have a long way to go...

I reported a bug that makes the game unplayable for me 2 weeks ago and the response was it will be fixed with the next update. I would love to keep playing but I don't even have the option because the only dialog that will come up is the stone farm. It is an infinite loop and when I back out of text to start a new task it will just send me back to the same loop. Please fix so I can play again!

The paywall sucks; it kills the gaming experience for you. Especially all the 4th wall breaks in the game. Like, why? Who's idea was it to keep breaking the 4th wall within the story repeatedly. The dialogue isn't as creative as the first one, specially the art style design of the UI chat dialogue. This game feels like it was rushed.

it's fun I just wish there was a way to combine food found into better food. Also to make it so that you need to have the material to make the food that requires it instead of magically always having the ingredient. The second complaint is very easy to fix by making it so that you're able to recollect a previous material found by sending a person to look in that location. Also hunger has no consequence at the moment.

I would have rated much higher, but a game shouldn't have to constantly struggle to connect to the internet when you have a steady connection. especially so when it gets in the way of making the game playable, often fight sequences will be playing out and I can't do anything because it lost connection midway through. this shouldn't be happening

This game is decent, but one thing i noticed with switching out the characters is that the energy resets, even when the characters you have set are max energy. If you want to switch out a character because it has better skills, the energy will start at zero which i dont understand why. Other than that, everything is else is fun and cool.

dnd feel island survival strategy/choice text adventure. addictive. played the first as well, same premise, this one has different hub. I actually don't know which I prefer better. probably this one but the other one is also worth the download. two games, one review. tinker island is a great game for anyone who enjoys; clicker games, soothing music, reading hilariously sassy dialogue, mystery, wants something they can use as a pastime app and get 2-5 mins in or alternatively for the next 2hrs😂

UPDATE: So, uhh... 2 of my people are gone, and whenever I try to assign someone to a location, it says "already on anxperition in location: smithy". Just WHAT? Can't fix, 2 stars. Original review: The original game was one of my favorites. This game felt almost like the same but with different graphics and story. In my opinion, the new font looks worse and the new game is less pixelated in general. It has new systems for some stuff, but I liked the original game better.

The game has a similar feel to the first one, but the way it goes about energy management now allows for more play time before having to recharge. It doesn't feel like I have to pay to play/progress the way the first one did. The developers did an amazing job learning from their first Tinker Island to keep the good and improve for Tinker Island 2.

Not gonna lie, was expecting a sequel to the original. The gameplay is the same but different. Gathering materials, collecting survivors, discovering the island. It's just executed in a different way that I'm not a fan of. I've never been attracted to these energy systems, where you need energy to do anything, but I think this is definitely a toss up. While it's annoying, there aren't long wait times for activities, so you spend a few minutes using the energy, then wait for more. Good otherwise.

The game's fun, but something is missing. A decent bit of polish is added compared to the original, but it loses some of the charm. You get characters so frequently that it feels like most are just fodder, and the "impactful" passives aren't impactful at all or enjoyable to manage. Farming materials is fine, but gold is miserable to gather. The equipment system is frustrating, too. Not going to give a strict negative review because there's potential if the devs listen and can make the changes.

Fun game BUT with a game breaking bug. I am a level 5 and cannot actually interact with quest sites. I can only interact with crafting sites a the home base. Upon uninstall and reinstall, I get an unprompted loop of the logbook for the reef simple resources and cannot exit unless I press the back button on my phone. I then cannot interact with any resource sites or quest sites as before. I would love to rate the gameplay, but I can't when I'm stuck in a bug.

The constant fake messages praising me for doing basic things and claiming that no one else was picking those options annoyed me enough to drop the game immediately. Update. I gave it another shot. It got better after the tutorial. I've now played through everything that the game currently has to offer. I've even given it money. My rating goes up from 1 to a 3. It is a way to pass time. I don't know if I'd call it fun.

It's a bit more fun than the last one. However, the save file is an issue I find especially annoying since it's not very clear how it saves in the cloud. In the first Tinker Island, it did not save my progress when I got a new phone. I had my Facebook and Google play logged in but only saved the achievements. Spent a good amount of money too since I loved the game so much.

The mechanics are alright, some are definitely geared towards driving purchases, but it's hard to blame the devs for wanting to get paid. The feel is similar to the original Tinker Island, and the plot set up is sufficiently interesting. Edit: I defeated the (no spoilers) at day 155, at which point the plot is completed. The middle to late game requires a fair bit of grinding and the end of the plotline feels artificially drawn out, but overall it was a decent experience.

Was decent at first, but you have to play frequently to progress as energy just gets eaten way to quickly. Also there are bugs where suddenly all of my characters disappear from the bottom and I have to reload the app to play since I can't interact with anything without them. One of the characters gets an ability at level 6 that says they give a chest every 6 hours. I have never seen it come up in any way, shape, or form.

Would be a good game but the energy management sucks. Characters should keep their energy levels when shuffled around, not lose them! When I need to change up my team to do building instead of gathering, I have to close the app and wait. And wait more when changing my team back. Constantly dragging characters from the bottom is annoying too and keeps opening my phones bottom bar or almost closing the app.

Missing the magic of the first game. It feels so clunky and slow to progress in this one. You also unlock new characters so fast that you really don't get much in the way of story about them. No passive resource gaining through jobs (perhaps this happens later but I've yet to find it) and it takes SO much energy to get resources. Not to mention if you go to an area after spending hundreds of energy on it and it only then tells you the you can't use that area yet, you are simply out the energy.
