Love the app. 2 stars were taken off due to 2 reasons. 1 when i try to viewa pic from facebook it dont show up on fb. And 2 it Keeps crashing. And I have to start over. Almost everytime I go to see something on Facebook and come back it sends me to the beginning. I get like 6 yrs in and it says me to the back. Please fix asap. This is recalling annoying. It takes me so much longer To go thruthe whole day of memories. You need to fix this asap

My only issue with the app is that sometimes when I open it, the 3 dots next to the date at the top of the screen don't always appear. There are often posts of mine that pop up from a decade or more ago, that make me CRINGE and I never want to see them again, I go to click on the 3 dots to select "Hide From Timehop" but then the three dots aren't there, so I have to fully close the app. And then I have to scroll through everything I've seen as well as the ads to get to the post I want to hide.

Update** Did the edit as suggested and back to normal. 😊 Used this app for several years and always been great. Occasionally off on the year but no big deal. Until today. Its showing me every picture in my phone as 1 year ago. Made it to 2 years back, showing as 1 year ago, Before it froze and crashed. Now I have to start over to attempt to make it to the end to keep the streak

The app is okay, but when one connection gets messed up it gives an obnoxious alert in the corner for MONTHS and it's a total pain to fix, and when it says it'll stop alerting... It doesn't. The alert STILL stays there. And now the ads in the middle stick to make you swipe over and over before you can see what you're ACTUALLY there to see. I don't mind ads, I get that it's how you keep the service free. But when they become intrusive I start wondering whether my 3 year streak is worth keeping

This used to be 1 of my favorite apps. Now that it's switched to Tinder swipe-style, forced adverts, and trying to force me to install FB, I don't even want it on my mobile anymore. While I want very much to keep TH, it's increasing insufferably factor had made it nearly impossible. The only change I adored was the retro videos. Whatever happened to them???

Used to be great but the app is so buggy it's almost useless. After finally fixing the issue that caused the FB login to repeatedly pop up even after authenticating (thus locking me out from the entire app), now I can't click on anything. If I want to open up a tweet from years past, nothing happens when I click. Since timehop only shows you links to tweets with pictures instead of embedding the image in the app, I can't see anything. What's the point of memories of I can't share them?

This new update is ridiculous. I'm not sure what they were thinking. The app now begins with an ad and then you go through picture by picture, I'm uninstalling it right now. Find a better way to reminisce, this app isn't it. Edit: the ads also one-tap install, and you have to tap to go to the next photo. I installed candy crush three times just trying to get past the ad. So obnoxious!

No more logging in to Facebook...ever, I guess? I opened the app and was told that it had been disconnected from Facebook. Went to reconnect it and was told that Facebook won't allow me to log in from an embedded browser. I've tried messing with the settings in both Facebook and Timehop with no success, and there seems to be no troubleshooting support for the issue on Android. I guess I just...don't get to use the app anymore.

Sometimes, it will crash out, freeze up, or just malfunction in some way after clicking an image, saving it, exiting the app to view it, and then upon returning... notta. Actually, pretty much every time. I'm in the process right now of trying to figure out how to get those days' images back as I want to save another. Currently, it just went to the next year's posts and will not load them. I like how the streak now continues even if you miss days, prob shouldn't be a streak anymore, views maybe?

I have had this app for 7 years or so, and I enjoyed it greatly until recently. The app keeps crashing halfway through. The only way I can get through the "day" is to speed scroll through it, which takes the joy out of reminiscing on what you did that day. I have uninstalled and installed it again. I have cleared the cache,but it still does it.

It used to be great. I just redownloaded it but there are ads interrupting the flow of the app. And not a short and sweet ad either, they're pretty long and more than one. Ad placement is important (especially for $$) and, in this case, you guys really missed the mark. Looking forward to updates that address this situation.

I was excited to find this app, now I'm still very happy to be using it but it could use some improvement. I would like to be able to add all my photos in chronological order. it seems every other photo app constantly tries to put them in order of some way thats their choice, by facial recognition or by "pets" or "vacation pictures". I do not want that! I simply want my photos in order as if im putting them in albums at my kitchen table! THANK YOU FOR A GREAT APP!!

Edit: I had a 2 year streak and stopped getting notifications :( Due to this, getting an error message everytime I open the app (for months), and personal reasons that make me not want to look at old photos at the moment, I have uninstalled. Might reinstall one day. Original: Love the concept but sometimes the app will freeze and when I reopen it the memories have disappeared. Please fix it

I love seeing my Timehop every day! I like comparing "then and now."The only reason I'm taking 1 star off is because it does crash pretty frequently, and I wish the "then and now" pictures were capable of viewing more of the whole image... like if there was a way you could make the image smaller and just have a black/white background in the areas that don't fit the frame. Other than that, I love this app so much!! Thank you ☺️

Overall I really have enjoyed timehop especially as I was on a 7 year streak, but for the past 3 days it keeps telling me the app is not active, which is slightly odd thus the drop in 2 stars and a potential uninstall. I'm going to wait a couple more days before I delete my app, which is a super bummer because my kids like going through it as well to see all the changes that have happened over the years.

I have been using this for over 10 years !! It's a great way to recall your memories. One is the biggest subjects is the kids ! Watching the kids grow !! First it's one year, then five and before you know it, it's been a decade !! It's a good way to log your vacations or other special events ! Every year you get to see those wonderful photos and are reminded of those great memories. IF there is something that pops up that you don't want it to, you can remove it from Time Hop !

I adored this app for years and years. Now? No one will help get my streak back. I just sent another request detailing my problem, hit submit and I got a non-existent page. I have a screenshot but, alas, no way to attach it. 9/25/25: I love time hop but it just doesn't work, for me anyway. It stalls, then I have to turn off the app, start up again, close it, start over again... ad nauseum. Restart the whole phone. It's just a problem.

10/8/25 - I'm editing my review! I use this app daily and have been for years. I love looking back on memories and sharing them to my FB and Instagram. What use to take me less than a few minutes takes me more than 5 sometimes 10 minutes because the app freezes and starts over. I have emailed customer service and its gone on deaf ears. I've Uninstalled the app and I've reconnected my social media and still its freezes. please fix this bug!

I use to love time hop! But it's newest update makes it slow to load. And sometimes I don't want to see all of the photos - it was nice when I could choose which ones I wanted to see. Not have to scroll through tons of photos to get to the 5th year. The new update is better, but the ads have increased. which are slightly annoying. I wish there was a button to just skip to the end, some days I don't have time to go through the photos.

You killed a great app with ADs after every FIFTH memory! This app used to be so great; being able to see your photos and social media posts from the past, but not anymore! Good luck getting through a large memory day when you have to tolerate an add after every FIFTH memory. It crashes 90% of the time and most times you can try a couple times to get to the end, but after today, I can't even get half way through my memories without it crashing every single time! I HATE opening this app anymore!
