I tried to give the game a fair shake, but the ergonomics are too cumbersome to ignore. Strike zones are small. The round timer is relentless, especially for someone coming over from the old game. Colors are low contrast and hard to recognize. The print is small and difficult to read. The train cars are not easily distinguishable from the routes themselves. It's clear that some effort went into this game, but it is regrettable that the game falls very short in the details that make it enjoyable.

Legit sucks compared to the original. It's slow, the numbers are difficult to read, the colors are so similar; the cards and the train routes, and the personal train colors change every game. They want to charge you for BS. The original was so much better. This platform is MORE then disappointing and a waste of money. The fact that they no longer support the old version so my friends and I can play is also absolute BS. I regret buying the new version. I'll find another game that's better.

I really enjoyed the last app before it got discontinued. For this one, I wish I could change the background/graphics of the board to match the board game. This looks like a topigraphical map but it makes it difficult to see the routes and colors as easily. My opponent's trains aren't as obvious. There are also some bugs, when I go to place trains on a route sometimes they don't, and then it will randomly draw a card for me. This has caused me to lose turns and lose games. I miss the old one

Graphics are clunky and slow, it's hard to place your trains, it's hard to keep track of the tickets and the timing for each player is off, though with it being so hard to place tracks, the extra time is useful. If the game needed to be remade, they should have made it better before release. I wish that my previous purchase of the maps would be transfered to the new version since it's unreasonable to pay twice for them. Alas, I'm addicted and will pay for it with hopes for future improvement.

I don't like this new version. The route end points are hard to see. The players trains are hard to decipher between the routes not played (especially black). It's slow to play, even with the animation setting on "fast". I haven't had a chance to play online yet to see how that works. I may update my review once I get that chance. I hate that I've lost all my old maps in the old version because I loved several of them more than USA map.

The glitches from my previous review are fixed, raised to 4 stars, and my other things still stand. Needs Pass n Play (which you are working on) and Anthropomorphic/Furry characters. Tried playing it recently (i have a tablet now) the game definitely plays better on a tablet than on a phone. Whats weird though its like the phone verison lags more than when i first played and this was offline by the way not online. Recommend on tablet or a more modern phone than i have.

Things are improving, but problems remain. Colors are still difficult. Yellow routes / yellow player routes are nearly identical. Orange/pink/red route/card colors are impossible to differentiate. Animation is nauseating (shuffle) or scary (playing routes). When you play a route near middle board, animation is good. But elsewhere on map, animation bounces all over, as if it might land somewhere you don't want! Animation is SLOOOOW. Shuffle, play route, tunnel matches (deal at once please!)

Ticket to Ride is a great board game. This app works pretty well, but it needs some work. I have had it crash on me a couple times but nothing too concerning. Needs push notifications for turns on async or multi-player in general so I know when it is my turn. Both my wife and I accidentally placed our trains on the wrong track, and our last game her hand brushed on the tickets when she didn't mean to. (Maybe an undo button w/ approval from other players?) Private async games needed too.

Updating review because many improvements have been made! Improved visuals help but the claimed routes are still a little hard to see at a glance. Big improvement though, and the touchy/glitchy route claiming has mostly been corrected. Plays well and mercifully free of the old server locks we endured in the old TTR. I really wish there was a way to stratify player level, through a rating system or just beginner/advanced levels. When accomplished players are in with newbies no one has much fun!

Great game. Representation of the physical game play is well done. There's a tutorial for beginners. No bugs. Map can be simplified for easier viewing. In app purchases are not necessary. AI moves quickly. Graphics are nice. Able to play vs AI without signal. Fun game to have on hand for plane rides and other times when without signal

Online system is very flawed and gives even points solely based on player count and not relative to the scores of other players. To be ranked high you don't actually need to be good, just play a lot. Another major issue that has yet to be addressed is that there is no confirmation on picking up extra route cards. I have multiple times pressed the top card and the game thinks I chose to pick new cards. It immediately gives me 3 new cards instead of asking if I am sure like the old app did.

The new simplified map does bring back the original map feel. However drawing tickets can be a little cumbersome still (tickets are hard to read and destination markers are small). Also, I can click with my thumb anywhere else on the screen, but not tickets. Picking tickets has to be almost a stylist click. Performance is also much worse as well. Not sure why they discontinued the original, that one was Superior.

I played 2 games. First game completed 4 trains but in the final score it only gave credit for 2. It didn't even say I didn't complete the others. It just pretended they never existed. I assume bugs will be fixed, but if you even try playing you need reading glasses. Everything is tiny. Some symbols for your ticket routes cover up where you are trying to go so I almost didn't notice an area that didn't complete the ticket. Not that it mattered since I didn't get credit for half anyway.

Thank you for working to make it more like the old, awesome version. The "simplified" version is 1000x better. However, it's still visually too hard to play. The fonts are tiny. The card colors have too much white in them, so the red and orange look too much the same. Dragging cards to tracks is too difficult, and your finger covers up the track you're trying to get too. But the biggest thing, the thing that will still keep me from playing are the tiny fonts. They need to be increased 2 levels.

This is unplayable for me. The older app was so much better. I can't believe I had to repurchase this newer version just to find out I won't be playing. The board itself is hard to see, the trains are the same color and tone as the routes, so it's hard to determine where trains have been placed, there is way too much unnecessary animation that takes too much time and makes it confusing as to where trains are being placed, it is much harder to place your trains onto the board... the list goes on.

I was hesitant to purchase again and waited awhile before doing so. I really loved the old app and played it constantly. As for this new version: The simplified map is great. Placing the trains is cumbersome, and I don't like the method used to place. If my finger moves at all before placing it won't place and I can't tell if I've done it properly for awhile because of the long pause. I miss the 1910 version of the US map, which is mostly what I played. We need a ranking system as well.

Coming from the old app that they stopped support on, this one is super hard to see and follow. The colors on the train cars are different and harder to differentiate, the claimed routes are too small to tell what's happening, and everything just looks weird. I mean, the board game is so pretty, why would they change that??

You can't invite friends to an async game. It's hard to see which routes have been claimed on the map. I'm even having a hard time identifying the colors of the cards. Not an upgrade from the old app. The only new thing I like is choosing what your trains look like. I played many pass and play games during a long car ride and my friend and I both had multiple instances of accidently drawing more tickets while trying to take the top card. Please turn the servers back on for classic.

Parts of the game are great others are lacking. There's no longevity to the game as there are no achievements and no personal records. I've played about 30 games and when the leader board reset it was like I hadn't done anything at all. The maps look great but it's very difficult to differentiate between claimed and unclaimed lines. The AI seems better, but the gameplay of the old version seemed just better overall. I have a lot of misclicks that really disrupt the game in a bad way

I really miss the achievements component of the old version. That's what kept me playing. I only spent a couple bucks on this version and I'm glad- it's not worth the same as the old one. Also, I get why so many developers are jumping on board the AI train (no pun intended), but has anyone stopped to ask whether that's what users really want? Maybe a pre-programmed feel to npc opponents, like in the old version of the TTR app, is what makes a video game feel like a video game.
