My brand new f790 refuses to connect to my new galaxy S23.... almost a grand of wasted money since I can't even check the impact detection logs..... Buy something else people!!!

Disconnected frequently recently. May be some bugs in the latest version. E.g. disconnected via downloading a video to the handphone. It was ok when I first bought it in march 2024. I am using the original microsd card.

The developers have made this app overly complicated to even connect to the dashcam and view any events via phone. May as well just keep it simple and view via the sd card on computer, no known reason to use app in that case.

Unable to playback downloaded Videos. You expect things to work when need it the most. Now I have to run through the process of manually finding the videos and downloading to a desktop. Hardware is great. Software is not.

What the heck are you guys doing to this app!? Garbage. No current clips my whole drive this morning? So what would happen if I needed evidence in an accident? With your pathetic and stupid updates that continually ruin what used to me a good dash cam. It's rubbish. Steer clear peeps. Nothing but error after error. It would be better just to have a plastic box on my windshield because I would have saved $500 and put to to something that actually does what it promises.

I got the Q1000. I downloaded both thinkware software apps. The thinkware link, and Thinkware connect. The biggest problem I had was registering my dash cam with the Thinkware connect app. So I simply call customer service, and the tech walked me through it. Now, everything works perfectly. Before you throw your Thinkware dashcam in the trash, give their tech support a chance to help you out. I talked to those guys, they're pretty knowledgeable.

After the last update our front & rear dash cam is showing not registered. We require help immediately with it as it keeps looping back to the main screen. I have sent an email to you with the rest of the details. URGENT!!!!

When are you going to make it Android 13/14 compatible! Buy an expensive Dashcam and need to keep an old phone around so I can view the footage. Unacceptable! Trying to get an update from Tech support on if this is resolved for now current Android 14, and the tech support email address listed replies with undeliverable addresses. Come on, is there no support for this awful app???

I did a factory reset on my android phone to fix the connection issues with two separate thinkware dash cams. I had connection issues again after I started setting up my apps after the reset. I found out that the Amazon shoppers panel app, more specifically the ad service on that app, was causing the connection issue between two thinkware dashcams and my google pixel 7 pro. It was probably something to do with the VPN settings. It worked after I disabled ad services and restored VPN settings.

I'm quite disappointed that when I turn off my car, it disconnects the camera from my app so I can't view the recordings while sitting inside. It seems I can only view them while in my car, turned on, with the wi-fi connected. This is a huge bummer and at this point I'm stuck with the camera after I just paid to have it installed. I don't know if this is a complaint on the app, or the camera. 🤷‍♀️

Just got FA200 pro front and rear, hardwired cameras in, connected to camera, did the updates , works great, connects to wifi in a few seconds, can see all videos, downloaded video in a few seconds, easy to use app annoying u have to wifi connect but seeing as it's running of my car battery that's fine, I'll connect if I need something but it would be nice to have a notification somehow even from the dash cam itself if an impact occurred in parking mode . Other than that pretty straight fwd.

The app is horrible. I got into a fender bender and I couldn't access the footage because the app kept closing. What's the point in having a dashcam you can't access videos off of? The development team need to fix this as I'm sure a lot of users are experiencing the same thing. I've uninstalled, cleared cache, I've tried everything.

I've had this Dashcam for less than a week and I'm not real impressed. You have to connect to it via wifi in your car to view videos (I've got mine hardwired in) and the app continues to force close and not work so I can't even view anything. Connection is spotty and keeps disconnecting even after turning off wifi switching settings (intelligent wifi, switch to better wifi networks, and switch to mobile data).

Barely useable. When I connect to my Q1000 playback is completely broken unless I dowoad the video to my device to download it, streaming it off the camera is completely nonfunctioning on my Pixel 7 Pro running latest June patch. Technically this would be able to get the footage off in an accident, which is why I am not giving it 1* but it is far from ideal. It also fails to load about 60% of the time. It gets the job done, but it's a terrible experience.

Was hoping to view recordings on the app without having to be in the car. Just got it installed (hardwired). When I got up to my apartment to view the videos, nothing was there, so I went back down to my car. When it first connected, I could watch the videos, but then it crashed and wouldnt let me open any of them or save them to my phone. Will give it a week before returning it

The video clips are too short and when it stops playing you have to start from the beginning to search for the video again. It should stay on the screen until you decide to change from what you're looking at. It makes the choice for you so you have to go back and search the video all over again. ARRGH! It's a real pain! Should definitely make additional cameras optional!!! But, it's pretty cool to know that if something major happens, you have proof and ability to surveillance your neighborhood.

*update* They reached out and walked me through getting it to work again. Did a camera reset, did a "forget network" on the wifi, and made sure all of my permissions were set to allowed. *Old* It was pretty decent until the update, can't even get a connection anymore. I'm able to connect to the wifi, but once I go back to the homepage on the app, I click "connect to camera" and a loading circle appears for a second and then goes away. That's all it allows me to do.

This app (and to a degree the camera itself) is useless. It fails to connect to the dash cam (f200) EVERY time. I've followed all instructions to the letter (including turning off all 'smart' wifi setting (such as switching to mobile data when the wifi connection is unstable)). If the camera you've bought uses this app, you're better off returning it because you can't rely on it to provide your recording in your time of need.

Working just fine, be sure to download the right app for your camera model. The booklet that comes with the camera said to download thinkware 'cloud', but their website said download thinkware 'dash cam link' for my model. This is working perfectly for me, I'm easily able to see my camera, connect to my camera, see and download files. The only thing strange is that it uses a local Wi-Fi link, instead of Bluetooth, so as soon as you need to connect to a "real" Wi-Fi you will lose camera

This feels like it was only programed with a tablet in mind. I struggled for 2 hours to get the settings to even show up, and when it did it instantly crahsed. Only to figure out the app was having a fit for having my mobile data band turned on my phone. If you are making a mobile app why have an app that can fail this basic aspect of not killing itself when any smartphone option is on. Will not be a repeat customer if this remains how it is.
