Spammy rent seeking turning a commodity device into a source of regret. Lots of notifications about sales, promos, membership etc. Instead of just doing the job of giving car diagnostic data. Avoid.

I use the original thinkdiag device for 3 years. Still works excellent. The software is always updated to cover the latest models. I has as many functions as the more expensive diagnostic tools like X431 V+. Really no difference at all in functions and capabilities. Would definitely reccomend even for professionals !

Useful and handy I have a few but my go to is the diag 2... Update I've had it for 2 years plus I've used it on multiple vehicles it is better than my body snap on vehicle he paid over $3,000 for it tells me more information and I have bi-directional control meaning I can turn on modules or components to see if they're good. Does live data it does misfire it does everything you can think of and more. Only downfall is you have to buy a new membership yearly but worth it if hobbiest, mechanic

Very good experience after 3 years. I've been using ThinkDiag for my 2 SUV's to determine which part needed mechanical fix. If the faults are cleared after rescanning a few times, then no need to see a mechanic. But if its recuring fault/error in the reading, it needs to be address by a qualified mechanic. I've been relying on this product to diagnose my Ford Everest and Toyota Fortuner and it provided me satisfactory results so far. Thank you for the free system downloads of my vehicle model.

I bought this for my W211 Mercedes-Benz. VERY surprised and unhappy to then have to buy a VIP package in order to use 99٪ of the features. After paying, there was so many modules and functions that I couldn't go into and I sent all error reports. No one ever came back to me. I couldn't even do a brake bleed. Renewal is due with cheapest option R 600 for 1 month!!!! More than double what we spend a month on Bread and milk. Simply works out too expensive. The few things I could use was very good

So, I have been using this app since 2021 and it hasn't fall short of my expectations. The connection is very fast and has so far worked well with all the cars I've used it on. It's a great buy and you'll enjoy the device very well. I highly recommend getting the device. You'll enjoy one full year of free subscription after which you'll have to renew at a pocket friendly cost. You'll be glad if you bought this either as a professional or a personal user. Cheers and enjoy your think diag tool.

Can be Fiddly but absolutely everything works. Bought pro for 2 years and does everything it says in the tin. Health check/ clear codes, actuation tests of individual relays and much more. Bang for buck, real review from a real person. Works on every car I've tried so far. After two years have bought another one with 3x years! Still an amazing bit of kit!

Their software for VW is bugged. It shows the wrong reading compared to VAG-COM. I've raised this issue, at first they responded well and told me to send a bug report. I've sent a bug report for them to told me to look through each of the 255 channels listed and send them the log. I've done this only for them to lost the report. I've then recorded another 5km drive log to show them the issue. They admit they saw the issue and their response is an infinite loop of logging channels. Think twice

Does everything I need it to do, for a low price, without having all the extra stuff an expensive tool would come with. Great and amazing product for any DIY or small home shop. If you cannot afford the thousand dollar ones for now, this is a perfect substitute until then!!

Shameful services/stupid and foolish technical support/all their services are very bad/I do not advise anyone to buy it/because when the subscription period expires, the program stops working completely, and this is unfair/until they force you to renew the subscription, knowing that other devices When the subscription ends, it does not stop working, but only on models where activation has ended, but in this dirty program it does not work at all and they force you to renew the subscription just

While the app and the tool work seemlessly together it is not as intuitive as I'd like. However, you get used to it after a while. The annual renewal fee is like having to purchase a new one annually, could and should be a less than buying a new one otherwise why not just buy a new one and never get a membership? With that said this is a really awesome OBD2. Bi- directional, powerful, and almost no brand that it doesn't work on.

Amazing device and app. Will be lifetime subscriber. I'm coming from snap-on & autel. As for the expected broken English, I imagine this will be remedied in the future. Autel had the same issue 10 or so years ago. Lastly, don't buy apple. Apple products aren't compatible with much of anything but apple products. Android is the way to go for compatibility and practicality.

Full Diagnostics Scanner, very advanced, bidirectional, makes me money daily. Never had any issues with the app crashing. Would gladly purchase again. Friendly user interface, impressive special features, actuation controls, and programming. Could make some of the menus easier to return or back out of and load quicker.

Works okay when the app isn't crashing. Actually does alot for a dongle type scanner. Main problem I had was it wouldn't let me select all when viewing live data streams it just crashed every time. Crashed doing a few other functions also. Then you have to re connect to the dongle and then the car again, for it to just re crash, so it gets real frustrating. Running on a note 10+ I've already tried reinstalling, clearing cache, still same issues.

Excellent app, extremely user friendly and very easy to navigate. I find this device to be the best bang for your buck ! For $120 you get bi-directional communication with your car , devices that do similar cost in upwards of $400 to $1700! This is the perfect app and tool for a DIY mechanic and for the professional. Thinkdiag+ & Thinkdiag 2 for the win!!

I loved my ThinkDiag 2 when I got it, but lately (2-3 software updates ago) I have had to do a firmware fix before doing anything and it will still freeze or not function as it should. Also suddenly lost my history and nothing new is saved there. It's become pretty much a huge waste of time, probably going to throw it away instead of pay for the software when my year is up in two months.

Functional device, misleading point system.. 🤔 This really is a cool little device with a hefty subscription price after the first year, depending on how much you use it. I could be wrong but I swear that in the beginning one point equals $1 and you could use that towards the subscription or buying another device. Now 100 points only gets you a few dollars off and even with the discount those devices cost less on Amazon 🤦 I fear buying this device could be a poor long term investment 🤷

Scanner works well on newer cars but not on older ones. Was told my 2002 honda accord would be supported but I paid for the software package and the download kept failing and would and I could not move forward with diagnosis. The app is a little confusing when you first start using it. 4 stars for the lack of resources available for navigating the app.

It crashes a lot. I haven't gotten to a point where I can save yet. I'm hoping they'll keep working on it. I've got an LG V10. It's an old phone but it's so good. I may try to switch phones if I have more trouble. I bought a mainstream phone a few years ago just to run one app on. So I don't just blame the app. It might be my phone. I've got a generic scanner & app that rocks. But what if we could get all these features & more inside a reader? How far can they take this? Swap ECUs maybe? More?

Most affordable way to get "some" dealer level access to your vehicles systems and components. Very impressed with the bidirectional capabilities with my 2019 Chevy Malibu. I have not needed it on this car yet but tested the capabilities of the device and this software and was amazed at the vast amount of data it gives you combined with tons of bidirectional control abilities of many of systems and devices of the car which can be used in diagnostics. Its flat out awesome!
