Hands down my favorite city builder to date. It was pretty easy to figure out, looks nice enough AND runs smoothly on my budget phone! And it's super nice overall. Sandbox mode is free, there are no artificial timers (big building projects can take a couple of minutes but who cares you can literally speed time up), and I can turn auto disasters on and off? AND I can (sorta) drive any random car?! Just... it's free. Get it. Almost too good of a time waster.

A lovely game to pass the time with. Definitely a favorite of mine. The only issue I have though is that I feel like the game is a tad hard on my phone. I turned on the battery saving options, turned down traffic, anything I thought would help but my phone still does get pretty warm while playing, battery drains, and I occasionally get frame rate drops. The frame rate drops are often fixed by moving the camera around. I'm also not too fond of the in app purchases, but i rather have them instead of unavoidable ads.

Imagine SimCity 2000 with a lot, lot more. This game is incredibly fun and plays similarly to the older SimCity games. I also really appreciate that you don't have to pay anything to succeed. In fact you don't even have to watch ads if you don't want to. Everything that can be gained from watching an ad can be done "manually" as well. My only suggestion is to build a second sandbox city to test new things as they unlock and get the hang of them first. Oh and get the roundabout plugin.

Can we PLEASE get some help with the DSA stuff!? I've made it to small moons a few times already. The pickle never has anything for me, the research center still has one 3/4 upgrades. I'm stumped.... Went to theotown boards and everything.... What is going on with this? I spend hours a day playing this and can't figure it out. But a great great great great game! One of my all time favorites! Been playing for years!

One of the best mobile games i've ever played. The graphics are simple, but charming. The gameplay is complex but intuative enough to be easily learnable. The mod support shows genuine appreciation for the fan community. And the challanges come naturally, rather than being added by the developer, like finding an effective layout when building on a small island. My only complaint is that it is far too simple to make a lot of money. Perhaps that was intended since this is a mobile game, but maybe you could add a harder difficulty setting with more realistic income rates.

Would be 3 stars but I haven't played in a while, perhaps the bug was fixed but I'm not restarting. Had many hours invested in my cities (about 20 overall, with such a busy life, it's a lot for me). I managed to recover on oof my cities but couldn't rebuild certain parts of my military base (roads and such) since the addons where removed from my buy history. Never paid, got with in game stuff. Was rather upset with that and haven't played since. Overall an amazing city builder.

It's perfect for people who grew up with the classic Sim City games. There isn't any manditory tutorial, you can just jump in if you've played classic Sim City games before. No pesky money or item tapping, just plop the right zones, transportation, services and utilities and watch it all grow on it's own. Cool new stuff is constantly being added in updates. It just keeps getting better... Update: They've added topographic terrain since the last time I downloaded it! Woohoo!

LOVE the game, simply the best in its genre, as a lot of the others have stopping points in which u have to spend lots of money to progress, this one doesnt. The gameplay is amazing, however the road system gets annoying, and sometimes the money earning is difficult, but they have community made projects that can solve that, as they make.lots of money. Again, thanks for making a great game.

This game is absolutely fantastic, I can't recommend it enough. By far the best city builder on mobile without emulating DOS to play classic Sim City XD It's got everything you'd want! Feature wise it's very similar to Sim City 3000. You can create a region, ranging from a tiny hamlet to damn near a whole county, and populate it with all the amenities a city needs to thrive. Very detailed, it hasn't disappointed yet. Also the graphics are amazing! Very quaint and retro ^w^

I'm re writing this review after a bit longer playing it because. Traffic. Traffic is an annoyance late game sense nothing actually goes anywhere and no way to solve it, so there's just build up civilian traffic and industrial traffic from late game industry, and specialized industry just clogs up the roads. I'd be cool if they used the highways and went off the map instead of staying in the tile just wasting space. The same goes with trains and boats.

Wow. Just wow. This is one of the most fun city builders I've ever played. And about the graphics, most people might hate it, but I like the retro, early 2000s graphics. It's like something you might play on an old computer in the back of a computer class in 2005 while trying not to get caught by the teacher. Thanks for every soul that worked on this game. I love everybody who spent their time making this masterpiece. โฅ๏ธโฅ๏ธ

Too many notifications of issues of too much traffic. WAY TOO MANY FIRES, why not have an upgrade to prevent fires instead of having to have everything totally covered by fire departments. Game started having issues lagging and locking up when trying to save. I uninstalled it. I'm using a Samsung galaxy s23 ultra plus. Overall it's a entertaining game to play, the plug-ins are awesome. But not worth taking the time to design something just to lose it because it locked up trying to save process.

updating this because i didn't think the devs would actually see the waco siege joke review. theotown is a really enjoyable game that doesn't have $200 worth of dlc's and has great modding capability. the artstyle is cute and the music is fitting. only suggestion i have is to be able to make sports teams for things like football and american football (like cities skylines). other than that, ads are miniscule, career is balanced, and the game overall has so much playability

This is a fantastic game, not just a fantastic mobile game. It's SimCity2000 for the modern age. Wow, excellent job on this game guys!!!!! I 'finished' the tutorial town, put it down for the day and by evening I found myself starting the neighboring town! I didn't think it'd hook me so fast! The region maps make it so cool! Tip that I didn't know the first whole town: you can rotate the whole map view from the mini map! I can see the other sides????

Really want to give 5 stars. Been playing hours a day past few weeks. Good game, online community, dev did extra good job. Just, once you play a certain number of cities, game starts to lag. I swipe to move, it pauses, darts rapidly, pauses frozen, then another lunge. If infrequent, OK, but it's every second, nonstop, gets annoying. Game clearly a resource hog, and not being able to delete plug-ins makes situation worse. Lag so bad and constant, don't want to play the game anymore.

I'm in love with this game, only had it for a few days and I fell in love with the 3d retro 2000's graphics. The discord server has an amazing and helpful/friendly community. The game has a wide variety of plugins to customize your town/city with. All though it is a bit tricky at first, yoy may find it does get pretty easy, pretty quick. On complaint I have you have to spend gems to unlock plugins, but you can watch annoying 30 second ads instead.

As a person who has TONS of hours in the Simcity series, this game is an amazing clone. The graphics are refreshing, and the challenges feel rewarding. The only things I have against the game is that some things are behind a pay wall, when they feel like they should be "base game" and over sudden needs of the people, ex. The moment you have anything built, the demands are needed. This can cause overwhelming feelings when you mass build areas, fires can break out, etc.

This is absolutely the best city builder I've ever played. This game is great and doesn't have anything that forces players to pay for something to get the full experience. The graphics are just amazing to can't get enough of them. Same with the music, normally mobile game music is bad, but this one is just beautiful, I'd literally add the tracks in this game to my actual playlist. Absolutely great game, I'd recommend it to anyone into city builders.

If I didn't play city skylines, this would be a great game! The only thing that gave it a 4 and not a 5 is because I keep wanting to trun the camera, and it's in a fixed position. And I probably just didn't give it enough time. A few fixes, if possible, have a button to move building within the building, and maybe add some more to the Tutorial to understand where all the data is. And how to read it..

This is a good app, but I recommend some features, like a tsunami in the disasters tap. Don't forget to credit me! If you don't, I won't sue, but it's ok. Edit: I can't believe they replied, thanks! Edit 2.0: Also, I almost forgot. You should make the sound blocking decor work. When placed on a round near sound, it removes ???% of the complaints of sound. You can choose the percentage.
