Android app was a great companion to TheBrain desktop software... but hasn't worked since update to Android 9. At least the web interface still works on mobile, but it's a poor substitute :/

This Android version isn't working well on my Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Perhaps it works better on a more powerful tablet, but it's so slow on the phablet that I rarely use it. In fact, the web-version works faster than the app.

Crashes when editing notes. Also missing basic features, such as adding a link to the thought on mobile. Please fix this app finally! As I can understand you are developing features, a life organization app that keeps crashing is UNACCEPTABLE.

I've been using this for years on the desktop. TheBrain app takes mind mapping software to a whole new level. It allows for relating one thought or idea to many thoughts, allowing one to explore and see nonlinear relationships in ways not possible with other mind mapping apps.

Disaster. Failed on my Pixel 7 Pro Android 15. It did not behave like the desktop app. Zoom in/out is clunky, editing child lines to another parent is not available on the mobile app. Essentially you have to rewrite the brain. Navigating and inspecting objects is limited and not intuitive

I love the desktop app. Finding it very intuitive, user friendly and is helping me organise my life. However, the mobile app is limited. I can't find a way to get brainbox extension for Chrome on mobile? Also it keeps getting stuck on 80 percent while syncing to the cloud.

Love using TheBrian. Desktop is my main interface, but having mobile access is essential. Mobile app is easy and enjoyable to navigate and use. I've restored it to a 5 star rating now that Android 10 is supported. Yay! I'm happy they gave a much higher priority to adding support for the latest version of Android this time!

Great upgrade, exposing more functionality in an easy to reach way. You are pushing the envelope, just consider having some backup journeys for the most critical journeys (adding thoughts etc.) that can live alongside your fancy components as backups as these new components mature. keep up the good work 🚀💪

TheBrain is the best way for making connections beyond the natural abilities of the brain.

Reduced rating on the mobile app because I changed my password to the one I use in most places. It is longer, so probably more secure, but the app won't let me enter the whole thing in. I type part way and then the keyboard disappears and the password field is cleared. I was using it to remember my grocery list, but but couldn't get in at the supermarket, and as a result missed a vital item. That's a major fail for something whose purpose is to always give access to things you want to remember.

I love TheBrain but the app always crashes when I have it open in the background and try to open it again. Like let's say I'm chatting with ChatGpt and want to copy and paste something, every time I return back to TheBrain, the app crashes and I have reopen it and let it load, sometimes even having to find the thing I was doing all over again. This is mainly an android problem. On my iPhone however, I noticed sometimes when I copy and paste text, TheBrain gets rid of the spaces between words.

The app does what it should and the interface is - I guess - as user-friendly as it can be. With the cloud feature one can keep the brains in sync with their desktop copies. The half-breaking missing feature for me is the inability to remove auto-capitalizing at thought creation (forcing me to edit all the thoughts when I'm back at the desktop). This discourages me from creating thoughts on mobile and so from using the app entirely. Looking forward the inclusion of such a simple option.

Update: changing review from 2 to 3 stars. Admittedly, there have been a few (minor) improvements, bug fixes, etc. over the past 4 years, but nothing that convinces me to keep using this app; it still feels quite sluggish. Most importantly, the key feature, i.e. plex visualization just doesn't seem to tranfer well to mobile devices: thoughts are squeezed in 1/3 of the screen in portrait mode, even worse when turning to landscape. I'm not UI design expert, but there's got to be a better way...

it works now very well on my mobile phone. navigation is easy, notes open directly, meta-information is easily accessible. I only miss the timeline on the phone screen. I use TheBrain now as my default dash- board to plan my day, week.

This powerful tool offers endless possibilities for connecting and organizing your thoughts. It's a valuable asset for anyone who wants to manage information effectively. The visual interface makes it easy to see the relationships between ideas, creating a dynamic web of knowledge. I highly recommend this app for students, researchers, and anyone who wants to improve their thinking process. This is a five-star app that truly stands out.

Great idea, needs work. I've used the desktop version for a few years, very pleased with it. Installed the mobile version, had two Brains on it yesterday, today there's nothing. It doesn't respond very quickly, which runs counter to the tagline. Unfortunate, since this has so much potential.

Started a brain on my desktop and wanted to have a way to keep track of new thoughts on the go. However, I'm unable to open any thoughts that have content. Seems like lots of other folks are experiencing issues on Pie as well. Seeing as how the mobile sync and cloud functionality was my primary motivation for purchasing a license once my trial expires, it looks like I'll be holding off until this gets sorted out.

It is a work in progress. The parent application (the Brain for desktops) is the most amazing program for organizing and relating information that I have ever used. The fact that the developers are able to put even a small fraction of that utility on the web interface and on your phone is amazing. The web interface has its limits but it has gotten me out of a pinch several times when I needed to access info in one of my "brains" and was in the field with only my phone. It is always improving!
