really great way to introduce people to roguelikes! love the simplicity and fun plot. if I were to make a suggestion, when characters have the ! above them can you have their face pop up on the corner of the screen, be notified when items can be leveled up, and see what resources we've collected during runs? love the ad mechanic to get to other islands/dungeons. the devs gotta eat too and the ads are utilized when necessary, not every 30 seconds like other games if you're unable to pay.

Intriguing storyline and nice graphics. Unfortunately I found the main gameplay loop really tedious and there wasn't much variance between runs through the roguelite system; of Hades and Dead Cells weren't available on portable devices already I'd have less issue with this, but the bar is set REALLY high for new entries in the genre and this game misses it by a mile. Kind of a shame since I do want to see where the story leads.

This is actually a really good game. there's the option of in app purchase for crossing between islands but you don't have to, if you watch ads. I'm okay with that, being it's a small price to pay; my time for free access to the rest of the game. I enjoyed the leveling system and how it wasn't persistent. thank you devs, for this awesome mobile adventure

Pretty fun, and easy game but gets pretty repetitive quickly. After beating the first boss you are given the choice to purchase ad free mode for $7 or watch 15 ads to unlock the next segment. Then 30 for the third section. There are very few/short ads in the rest of the game so it's a pretty interesting concept for monetization. If there was a bit more depth to the skill trees and a bit more length to the levels I could see myself playing it more

After you finish the first island you'll have to watch 3+ ads to get the second island. I'm assuming it's the same once you unlock the other islands. You can either watch ads for pay $6.99 for the full game. Improvements? - have a pool of skills once you unlock more it's hard to get the skills you like. - the equipment rng drop rate isnt the best. Went 2 whole lvls without getting any good items. - some of the effects don't work. Had a bow w/ lightning and fire 50% chance neither worked.

Absolutely would give this game 5 stars if it weren't for the abysmal way the dev handles progression. This game is awesome in almost every single aspect. The levels are fun, the combat is rewarding to high skill players, and the music could use some variety. But the moment you finish world one, you either pay $7 or watch a ton of ads. I have ZERO ISSUE watching a ton of ads..... IF THEY AREN'T ALL AT ONCE. Who thought that was a good idea? Game absolutely ruined.

I got to be honest, this game doesn't really bring anything new to the table. However it's mechanics are easy and familiar, the story and graphics aren't special but endearing (bonus points for not taking itself too seriously,) and it has a lot of content without being too much of a grind. Somehow I love the heck out of it. The SOUNDS in particular are so warm and crisp and each little ding just triggers my dopamine I mostly just farm trees. Idk. I like this game a lot. I'm only at the 2nd part

fun little game to pass the time with. the first island is totally free, getting to the others requires either paying or watching ads. wish the ads gave more than 11 leaves at a time (for reference, docks are 200 leaves and you need 2 of them). feels disproportionate. other than that, it's nice enough for something to play on breaks or to just kill time. decent and cute.

Could use way more fine tuning, & I think it needs more ways of becoming permanently stronger, as the boss is still very hard to beat even with most skills unlocked & most buildings built. Other than that, I enjoy how stylized it is, & the mechanics involved in it. Lifesteal is useless though. One problem: the boss doesn't work well. Having gameplay centered around not moving to deal damage, a boss with long range attacks that can jump on you doesn't work and makes the fight a slog, and hard.

I loved the art and the game play. Adorable and addicting. Just a few critiques: grinding seemed pointless and collecting resources didn't appear to matter after the second dungeon. Mastering skills was completed pretty early on, so when entering harder dungeons, there was no way to improve. Reqgardless, I enjoyed the challenge and I'm glad I finally beat the game.

A little disappointed the game doesn't have a landscape option, but it allows me to use my controller. I don't know any controller for the phone that is vertical or portrait which is odd to allow controller support but I can't change the screen to landscape but I'm sure it's a great game. I'm just removing a star because I only downloaded it to play with my razor kishi V2 the controller works. The analog stick to move is at the top & The buttons are at the bottom of the phone cuz portrait

Pretty good, very well optimized for mobile. The roguelike aspects are not well balanced imo but it's fine for a mobile game. The only thing is that once you beat the first boss, they ask you to pay $6.99 for the rest of the game. That's a very steep price for a mobile game. I would pay $2.99 or maybe $3.99 but $6.99? That's hard to justify. Even Stardew Valley is $4.99. You can watch ads instead but the ads don't load for me so it won't let me go further.

Not terrible but i think 6.99 is a bit too expensice for what you get. I Beat the game in about 5 hours. It starts out pretty easy and only gets easyer as you get upgrades. I was hoping the other islands would be uneque and chalanging but they are basicly identical, just retextured. I would give it 3/5 but ill give it an extra star because there are no micro tramsactions, Just 6.99 to unlock the full game.

This is my second playthrough of the game. The game play is fun and still challenging. They've made some minor changes since I first started playing. I really hope they add to the game or perhaps make a second game. I think the story is great. A few things I would change; The skill sets and tree. You accumulate more material but become useless very quickly after the second or third map as there is nothing more to upgrade. The music is great but i wish the tracks were longer or looped better.

Surprisingly addictive. The controls are very intuitive. There are a couple bugs like the controls occasionally stop working when switching maps but that can be fixed by restarting. Ads start on the second chapter and there's an option to buy out of them, but like the old guy says, hungry wife and multiple cats...

The game itself is fun and enjoyable; however, getting an ad every time you start a new run and enter a new floor in a dungeon is too much. I understand it's to make money, but that amount of ads is unreasonable. I'd be a little more chill if it was just watching a couple of ads (instead of the 15 required for just half!!) to get the decks to get to the new islands, but that and when starting/progressing in a dungeon? No thanks. Also, $6.99 is a bit much for no ads.

This game is really fun but the only problem I have is the virtual battles in Lucy's hous. It just feels too empty, all you do is pick an enemy and fight it. So I was thinking why not add bigger areas to spawn more than 1 enemy. Just imagine trying to defeat 10 bosses at once! Also you may add modifers to the enemy's. Add more health to them or more damage, more attack speed or more size? I also don't like how you regenerate health so why not add a setting to toggle it on or off. Just an idea...

I really loved this game, with it's heartfelt and deeply philosophical story beats. It was also really amazing to have an option to voluntarily spam ads to not have to pay to progress through the areas. The problem is they now hit you with 2 (skipable) ads per attempt in a 7 floor roguelike, in addition to the literally 15-30 ads per new area, a process that you have to repeat 3 times.

This game has the potential to be good, but unfortunately due to several factors isn't with playing. The enemies are mostly a zerg rush but the weapons and upgrades are more designed around one on one fighting. The speed of enemy movement, spawning, and attacking is to fast that you're hardly given time to react and frequently unable to do anything fast enough. The maps are often just sticking you in the middle of the wave of mobs without a way for you to move into a corner safely and more bull!

Overall a very fun game, the story mode is very enjoyable and has a good bit of replay value. The party mode is overall very enjoyable; however, when you are in a boss fight and are trying to fight the boss, the auto-targeting ALWAYS goes for the small enemies. This makes some bosses borderline impossible, even on easy difficulty, because you simply cannot hit them without dieing. If they either add a setting to turn on manual targeting or to prioritize bosses, this review will become 5 stars.
