HELP!!!!! The app hasn't worked in days. When I call it up it just says on a green screen that says The Villages 3.1.22. I tried clearing the cache & restarting it but get the same screen. In order to get it to work I have to uninstall it & then reinstall it every time! I know I'm not the only one because my husband gets the same thing. I wish someone would fix it!

➡for golf car directions, try VillagesGPS. ∙ ∙ I'm gen-X & live in The Villages. This app is *nearly useless* for finding activities. Data is in a weekly *printed* copy everyone uses instead. so 1994! ∙ ∙ 2★ because it looks like *they tried*. Sales promos & VLS listings are less bad than the rest of the app. ∙ ➡ Examples: 🔎 by ALL recreation centers / not by specific location 🔎 by date / not timeframe 🔎 by "Pickleball (open)" / not "Pickleball open" or "(open) pickleball"

Update 10/1/23 : IS ANY1 EVEN WORKING ON REPAIRING THIS APP.? THERE ARE 140+ THOUSAND PEOPLE LIVING THERE TRYING TO USE THIS PLUS THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE WANTING TO MOVE THERE TRYING TO USE THIS APP. C'MON! I have emailed support 2x complaining the new update is not working. Cannot view a home for sale and hit the back button to go to another home to view for sale. I've uninstalled 3x, cleared cache and nothing is working. Go back to the original app! Very frustrating.

it cannot find my location so no directions. I have uninstalled and reinstalled with no luck. Sent an email, no response as of yet. App was updated and works perfectly! Now, however, I'm getting an alert message each time I use it. Still works great but wondering what the alert is for

Absolutely the WORST app I have ever TRIED to use. As a visiting LS candidate, this app does not shine a good light on The Villages. Cart Paths are a great idea for traveling to your desired activities and destinations. However, when the GPS directions constantly say "Routing Error," it appears you may need to hire Tech Support that may be able to correct the issues and reply to users in a timely manner. Hoping the rest of our stay is not quite as stressful.

It appears I am having the same issues that everyone elses has described. The app works after reinstalling and then freezing when you try to restart it (on Android). I'm very frustrated, as I've used this app for several years , at this point going to give up until someone fixes these bugs permanently...

Latest version not working. Loads the villages green screen with TV logo and then sits there. Cleared cache and data did not work. Reinstalled and it opened once. On second attempt it's locked up again. Tried again and attempted to sign in and it gave error trying to merge account. Dead in the water. UPDATE 10/1, Latest update appears to have fixed my issue. I'm back to loving this app.

Destination directions don't work. Select golf cart directions and all you get is a message saying "route error". Basically useless! Update - app now "fixed"! Don't drive too fast on golf cart or you will "out run" your position on the app! Would be easier to follow if the golf cart map would rotate with your direction (like google maps does)!

I just downloaded the app. Mainly for the golf car directions from my home to local businesses so as to avoid any "issues". Well, as another gentleman said, all you get with golf car directions is "routing error"! Even on wifi at home it doesn't work. No wonder they want $6.99 for the Villages GPS app, it probably works! Get what ya pay for apparently.

Maps, whether the overall map or the individual house map, don't work most of the time. Floor plans don't come up most of the time. Can't do directions from a chosen location, only can do it from the phone's current GPS location. Does not have a satellite imagery option. Home photos often take forever to load on very good internet or cell phone 4g. Cannot mark homes to ignore seeing them again.

I just did an update and you cannot see the steps involved there's no way to see the steps in words to know which direction you're going

Finally! The update we’ve been waiting for. I’ve used this app around The Villages for a few years, and this new version is a huge upgrade. v3.2.7 All new navigation! Rerouting is way quicker, audio instructions don’t fight with my music anymore, and everything just feels smoother. If you’re driving a golf car or regular ride around town, you’ve gotta try it. The new look and improved navigation make a big difference. Loving it so far!

the issue has been resolved through the help feature in the app. working great now. 👍🏻 every time I try to view the photos of the homes for sale in landscape mode, the app immediately crashes and dumps me out to the main screen. it worked fine before the latest update. I just went back into the app to try some other features, and they all cause it to crash when I turn the phone to landscape. I'm currently up north so can't try navigation. Samsung Galaxy S22.

Not a helpful app! The golf car GPS is useless and buggy, often getting stuck when "getting directions". It instructs to turn right when you need to go left and vice versa. The voice instructions are always several steps behind and inaudible over the golf car motor. The weather report is behind and the calendar needs more appropriate filters.

UPDATE: I finally got a response from app support...all I had to do is reduce my font size, download the app, then increase my font size again. It worked. I have tried well over 50 times to download this app. After the app tried to update, the screen just freezes when I click on "accept." It's the same issue every time. I've sent support a number of emails over the course of at least 5 weeks, but no response. Today is October 18, 2023.

Sorry to say I'm having the same issues everyone else is having. I've cleared the cache and app data, uninstalled, restarted the phone, all the things..I'm fairly tech savvy, but I just get a green screen and nothing opens. It DID work one day for a few minutes, but when I tried to reopen it the next day, nothing. Clearly the new features aren't compatible with a lot of our phones and operating systems. It's a shame, because when you live here, you rely on this app for EVERYTHING.
