For the most part, everything works great, EXCEPT the Netflix app. I watch a lot of Netflix and i hate that the screen just goes black instead of loading Netflix. It worked for a while but don't understand why it's not loading! This is soo frustrating!!! I mean, it loads on the app, I just can't get the Rocu tv to load it. I try with the remote and with the app and get the same results on my tv !!!

I cannot cast to my older Roku 4230X devices - And they still work just fine. I was forced to upgrade from my earlier app version v6.3. Why? It was working fine. When I did upgrade and later used the app keyboard with a Roku device the app trigger reinstalling the Roku TV channel after I had removed it from my Roku several times. The only way I can use my earlier version of the Roku app, which I never had any problems with, is to disable the Play Store app on my phone.

This app used to be so useful but with the last update they got rid of the most useful features! The remote part works fine but loading the app is always slow and it always takes for ever to connect. However, I used to use it all the time to look up what shows we're streaming wher, I LOVED the comprehensive watch list, and the continue watching feature was awesome! All those things are gone now. You literally got rid of ALL your BEST features! So disappointed.

The app loads so slowly, even when it's already open. By the time the app loads to press Skip on an intro of the TV show, the thirty-second intro is already over. It loses connection with the device periodically and has to be closed and reopened. The Roku app is as trash as the device itself. I wouldn't even use the app if the actual remote didn't just randomly stop working, even with new batteries. So disappointed, will not buy again, and will certainly never recommend to anyone.

This app is pretty great for when I've lost my actual remote. However, the app itself is pretty dang slow. It takes a frustrating amount of time to load up, and to connect to a device. I have the best internet service my internet company provides, so it is not internet speed related. I just wish there could be an update to speed up these things.

This app is useful for one reason: it allows you to connect your ear buds (via your phone) to your TV. However, that function is undependable. The connection disconnects frequently without any certain reason. Sometimes, it seems to be because the app automatically searches for other devices to connect to, a function that seems pointless; if you want to find a new device, you will do so, and probably not in the middle of your workout.

This app is literally the most useless app ever. It literally makes it so that other devices don't work so we can try new devices. Their is nothing wrong with my TV and it works perfectly fine. But the Roku app somehow does not work. My phone and TV are connected to the same network. Every device in my house is connected to the same network yet the Roku app still doesn't work. This app is just a waste of time and soon enough it'll stop working so other new devices that you don't use work.

Love this app and use it everyday after my remote disappeared after I moved, and absolutely loved the headphones/mobile feature that allowed audio to go through your phone, but since the recent update when I switch to headphones mode no sound come through and my volume is up so it's not operater error. The main page with all the shows etc being featured is gone too. Please fix and I'll give 5 stars 🙏🏽

It's gotten extremely slow since they introduced ads. Before it was okay but it still had issues where it couldn't detect the TV so I would have to shut off cellular data and toggle Wi-Fi off and on to get it to see the TV. Haven't noticed that since the update, it's just slow to open and slow to detect.

Android 11...This app used to be five stars and it now gets one star. They've disabled search by voice in both places it's supposed to be available, and the results now only show up on the phone instead of on the TV like it used to. If I wanted the results to show up on the phone, I would freaking Google it. Furious that this update was forced upon me!! So tired of apps and Google raping my phone!! 😡😤😤🙄

The ADS ARE HORRIBLE. Seriously, this used to work so much better but since they've decided to cram as many ads as possible in the app, WHICH HAVE TO LOAD BEFORE THE REMOTE DOES, this app takes forever to load MOST of the time and is horribly slow even once loaded. It's miserable to use. This single app has convinced me to never buy another Roku TV and I will be replacing all three that I own with different brands. Greed will ruin this company and they deserve it. Two stars for basic function.

Right in the middle of watching a show that was FOR FREE and has been for months. The app stops working. I shut the app down and reopened it. The show I was watching wasn't listed on the home page so I searched for it. It came up but said I had to pay to watch it. Since friggin when? That's wild to randomly pull that on a customer. 🤷🏻♂️

Can't connect to roku using app if device is off. So I have to use the physical remote every time I want to turn it on? Even if device is on, most of the time, it cannot find the device from the app. Roku needs a lot of work. No app volume control. That's a surprise. App is basically useless on its own.

My experience is this. I wanted the remote but what I got was ads and a time out and connect issue. After I watch a show, I go back to use my remote and I have to Connect each time. Didn't used to be that way. I don't need a guide, just the remote! You touch "Remote" at the bottom, you touch "Connect", it sends you back to the previous page so you must touch "Remote" again to actually get the remote. What a pain! "Free" movies and TV? A block of ads every 10 minutes? I don't call that free!

Don't bother with this app. With every update, it takes longer and longer for everything to load but the ads. The ads load first and the app takes multiple tries to connect to my TV. They've been shoving more and more ads into the app. Guess it's time to get rid of my roku TV and buy something better. RIP roku, you used to be a decent service.

Ever since the update, my phone has been struggling to connect to the roku, and no, it's not the internet connection. I can be literally the only person on, with the network speed at its highest, and it will still struggle to connect or not at all. What's the point of having the option to use it on your phone if you are better off just using the remote?

It chooses when it wants to connect to the TV. I have no issues connecting my screenshare using the wifi so why does the remote say it can't find a device? Sometimes it will work great for a week or 2 then I'll have to restart my phone anytime I want to connect and now that's not even fixing the problem. It's been years with this same issue, do better.

It's OK. I don't like that I can't remotely access my roku when I'm not on the same network. Sometimes I want to add channels or start dog TV cuz it randomly disconnects itself. I started a 12 hour dog tv video before I left home for work at 7pm. By 10pm it had disconnected. I'd like to be able to restart that from work but can't. It has trouble staying connected and sometimes the app can't read the roku at all unless you unplug it from power and plug it back in.

I loved having the ability to share media directly to my Roku TV through the app. For some reason they took that away. I then reverted to an older version and it was great again. Now I've been forced to update to the latest version. I don't think that I'll be buying another Roku TV if I can't share pictures, music & video. The other features I use are search for streaming content and using my phone for the sound. I just bought a remote with a headphone jack, do I don't NEED that feature.

Used to be a 4 star rating but had to lower it. The latest update took away one of the things I liked most about this app -the continue watching list. All I would have to do was click the show (no matter whether it was on peacock or prime video) and I could easily and quickly continue what i was watching. Now, I can only use the app as a remote since I lost mine. When I find my remote I can uninstall until I loose it again. Roku app developer, please bring back continue watching list!☹️
