The Letter is an interactive, horror/drama visual novel inspired by classic Asian horror films. Told through an immersive branching narrative, the game puts the players into the shoes of seven characters as they find themselves falling prey to a vicious curse plaguing the Ermengarde Mansion for centuries.
In this game, your choices will shape and drive the story forward: will you mend a relationship on the verge of collapse, or will you let it fall apart? Will you risk saving them, despite the consequences, or leave them to die a gruesome death? The fate of all the characters is in your hands.

I'd just like to say: I NEVER buy games. I play the demo, become all wishful and then delete it but this game was an easy exception. I was expecting a normal visual novel but there were actual game elements to it! (Bloody hell, did you have to throw me into that tapping scene into the attic. Scared me half to death with the sudden TAP! but heck, it made everything more fun!) I also love how little details of the prequel were included as well - not enough to confuse new players but enough to make the older ones feel nostalgic. I'm only on Rebecca's route right now, but heck, I'm excited to start over and try different ways to complete the game (that's another thing I love - that it's not just a pay once, play once game!). The graphics are amazing, the gameplay is amazing, the story is actually really well developed and don't get me started on the music and sounds - somehow there are enough sound effects to get you involved but not too many so that it annoys you and the music is subtle enough to not distract you from reading. ANOTHER THING! The voice acting is top-notch, there were some voices that I thought didn't suit the characters but as the game progresses, you realise that they were tailored perfectly! My only issue is with Kylie Suarez (the little blue-haired girl) at the start of Rebecca's route. Her first two lines, upon meeting Rebecca, are silent. Apart from that, I haven't run into any other problems. This is by far my favourite game (and I've sure a hell played a whole lot) so congratulations on making something so incredible! I'm looking forward to playing more of your games in the future!

this has been my favorite visual novel game so far. I've been playing it for days trying to get all the achievements and outcomes. and im currently trying to get, what they say, is the "true ending". i only hesitate because it's far from being the happiest ending. the story can be heartwarming, bittersweet or just plain depressing depending on your choices. this is one of the games where choices DO matter. like heavily. totally worth the time!

I didn't manage to finish it, didn't know you need to pay for it lol. I think you need to update the game though, it's kinda glitchy when it comes to phone ringing and clicking some parts like the extra button on menu. I'm planning to buy it but I'm still thinking due to some bugs and glitches, I want it be worth of money. kekw. EDIT: It is awesome but some of lines are missing in va but overall it's fine and great story line! I'm planning to get all of the end-achievements. ~9/10 recommended~

I loved the game in general. I found myself staying up later because I was so interested. But the day after I installed it (today) and got to playing, my phone started acting a little different, changing my lock screen to some sort of weird version of my homescreen, it had this data cleaner, something directing me to a different app, and it just..wasn't right to me. I'm not sure if this was from this app, but I hope to god I get it fixed soon.

It's a very good graphic novel, with player guided elements so you can influence relationships and events for different outcomes. so far both of my outcomes have been pretty awful (great story, not happy endings lol). so here goes try 3. this will be the first choose your own adventure type story I've ever gotten through 2+ endings. mostly im far too adhd for it. so that speaks to how catching it is.

This game is fantastic because it spends time to develop the characters and make them believable. It's not horror the entire time. There are parts where the characters go to work or see a movie together. There's a lot of build up and it's worth the wait. The monster is unnerving in it's design. You're choices also have real weight to what happens. You may do something in the beginning of the chapter and then at the end, that thing could be the reason a character dies. I highly recommend this.

I love this game so very very much. I used to have it on my phone for about a year before I undowload it for storage reasons. I recently wanted to play It again and it really sucks because I had spent so much money buying the extra chapters the first time and I was frustrated to find there was no save. I wish there was a log in option where it could save all your data, but I guess thats on me now.. this game is totally worth it, the sound/game design is amazing, just disappointed :/

I like the art for this game, and on a technical level it runs well. However, I don't like the writting. For example, in the middle of a character looking for a friend who might be harmed or dead, the character started reminiscing about what the friend was like as a child. I appreciate the backstory, buy injecting it in the middle of a high stakes search ruins the tension. Two of the four main characters are not likeable. One is a condescending jerk, the other is a nosey busy body. DNF.

I think the best part of the game, is that you actually care about EVERY CHARACTER. Even the bad ones. You don't tire of their point of view, and you want things to work out. Often in games like these, there will be a character or two that's so OBVIOUSLY a fanservice tool that is so lacking in dimension, you almost yeet them at the monster just for some peace. But the characters in this game we're beautifully fleshed out and designed, and every choice you made held their lives in the balance. You felt their fear for themselves and each other like your own, and that can be quite addictive.

A very well-made novel. It's hard to find well-made stories on mobile, but this game is well worth the money to play all of it. Don't believe me? Read the first chapter(it's free). This game offers different perspectives of an event, answering questions as it progresses. It's a butterfly effect game, and eat time you play it, a lot of different things could happen.

Edit: What I wrote at first is too long too add to lol! So simply put: great graphics, amazing storyline, high quality voice acting, ACTUAL amazing MANY different endings. I've never felt so compelled to actually replay games like this but I played this dozens of times trying to complete all the different endings. I would vote for this game to get an award in a heartbeat.

This game is worth the price. Holy S*** the art style is funominal, not to even mention that the text of character's speaking is voice over. The voice overs is expertly done as well. And the way the story is told is a very fastinising way that work really well. when I download this app i expect it to be like other visual novels, but it went above my expectations. If anyone is thinking of downloading the app I highly encourage you do so, you will not be disappointed.

I really love this game. It's the first one I've actually ever spent my money on besides my typical Nancy Drew mystery game obsession. Unfortunately I paid for the entire game but once I finished Zachary's part of the story it wouldn't let me download the test of the game files, it just kept saying "an unexpected error has occurred. Please try again. " I tried it several times, cleared the cache, checked for updates and even reinstalled the game, but now it's just stuck on the loading screen. I need some help as to what to do now...

This is a very good game. Some warnings before you download. 1 The first chapter is free, the rest you buy. 2 A character says a slur and there is no warning. The character in question is a bad man and it fits his character, but still very surprising. 3 This game is a visual novel, think choose you own adventure book, but with visuals. There are a few quick time events that you can turn off but, for the most part, it's "dialogue, choices, more dialogue. If you don't like any of this, don't play.

This is such a compelling story not only by reading text as if in a book or a novel but the voiceovers that offer so much more personal and relatable gripping, suspenseful storytelling that keeps me wanting for more. This is badass! I recommend this to anyone who wants the best of imaginative reading and experience phenomenal anime voiceovers at the same time. Bravo! I would like everyon involved in this project to please stand up and take a bow! This is an easy 5⭐s.

Wonderful read. Beautifully animated backgrounds and well put together story. Many choices to make and many outcomes. Your decision carries weight. The one black mark against this app is the fact that it continues to keep crashing over and over when booting up after a fresh install. Developers were pretty responsive in my case and helped solve the problem, thanks.

One of the best Visual Novels I've played! Try the demo, if you're unsure of whether to get it. That's how I started. Now I've put in COUNTLESS numbers of hours trying to get every ending and every branch available. I'm almost at 100% for everyone but only at 32% for the last chapter! Its spooky, the atmosphere and music are done right, the art is beautiful, the voice acting is great(a little loud at times). Replayability is through the roof. Could not recommend more to horror VN fans!

It's pretty good, but the best but I don't regret buying it. Not very scary unless you're paying it alone in the dark at midnight. It gets a bit boring at parts and there's a glitch with kylie in two of the scenes where she's 'possessed' but the pictures are switched which ruins the effect a bit. I just started my second playthrough and i live how different everything is when you make different choices. I look forward to getting everything.

It's scary but I feel like some of the text in the game doesn't match what the characters are saying. I also notice that some scenes have been taken out that is somehow recorded in the notebook entries. This surprised me a little cause I was wondering if I pressed something that skipped what happened but I didn't cause it was removed from the scene which makes no sense to me tbh. The song is as always so perfect and goes well with the opening theme. Hope I helped. (Warning: Gore & Mature stuff)

Not what I was expecting. I like visual stories with games, puzzles and more interaction, however, I found the story to be interesting. The graphics are great. The game layout is easy to navigate. Those who enjoy a more novel based with choose your words type fame, you will definitely enjoy it. So don't base your decision on my review. Give it a try.
