Used to be that only specific premium articles were locked for subscription only. They have now updated this so all news articles are locked behind a paywall. No thanks. Uninstalled.

Used to be a good application but they are showing the Add in every news or article whether it's premium or not which is ridiculous since we can't read any of the news for free.

Pops up news but app won't open. It goes blank till you force close the app. Not worth paying for such an app and the quality of news. I have uninstalled it permanently and stopped paid subscription.

its a 100% paid app, try reading any news in detail, immediately a flash appears in front asking for subscription. You can read headings only but not the detailed news.

I can't open articles from notifications after recent updates. App works fine if opened separately. But the notification issue needs to be addressed asap.

Why doesn't the read aloud feature have an option to change the read aloud speed. The voice is painfully slow and wastes a lot of my time. And no option to pause and resume.

app is hanging every time I click on a news article, since a week. Responding to the reply: when I click on a notification about a news article, the app hangs. The screen turns white and the app won't respond

I am very fortunate that i joined such wonderful platform where I can get lots of content for english speaking along with news. l got countless new words and phrases which empowered my language. l learnt how to write articles and magazine because it is my first priority to choose editorial page. I am very proud to say that The Hindu is surviving in good manner despite paid media in this era, it has some realistic figures to spread the news in required manner, really it is to much trustworthy.

Repeatedly prompts to relogin or doesn't open the day's newspaper or auto closes Same issue with TheHindu BusinessLine app also Extremely annoying. But if at all it opens then it works fine. There is something seriously broken in the manner in which this app does authentication and checks for subscription. Please fix that.

the app simply does not work! when you click on a news notification, it just leads to a blank page and doesn't open the article. the app interface has become so unintuitive and full of bugs!

Pages don't load quite often with error message that internet is not connected Or saying Couldn't fetch article content. it's an issue with the app because internet works fine elsewhere. this is after subscription. very bad experience. My app is updated.

Put simply, it just doesn't work. Tap on a notification and its stuck on the welcome screen. At one point, it would not open no matter what I tried. Had to uninstall and reinstall. I have a lot of respect for the publication. Very unfortunate that the app is what it is. A few examples of what does not work: 1) When I tap on a notification of an article I like, the app stays on the start screen with the 'TH' logo. Article does not open. ...more sent to app support.

I want to be positive here, but I know this app can be so much better. Notification management is terrible, and the app messes up big time when opening news stories from notifications. Movement between pages is laggy, and the confused jumble of menus does not help. Add to that popup ads that are hard to ignore or dismiss and you have a typical app version of an Indian news website - loud and ad-filled. Do better.

This app just does not work. Every time I try to access and read an article, I am told to log in to my account, so I do, but the login doesn't last because when I go back to the article I am told to log in again! And I am not trying to access premium articles either, these are regular articles I'm unable to read. So I've given up and uninstalled the app.

Night mode needs work. The colour of the text changes but not that of hyperlinks which end up appearing royal blue on a black background which is very jarring to the eye. When switching to any other tab which is not Home on night mode doesn't work. Headline text appears black on a very dark background, absolutely unreadable and to top it the actual news snippet appears in white. 5 stars for the content.
