Ugh! The update back in July was perfect. With this new update, you can no longer play it in the background or have it picture in picture. Worse, if you exit an unfinished episode, it no longer saves where you left off!! Please fix this! Meanwhile I'll have to go back to watching it on Prime Video or the Angel app. From July 2023: "Updates have been great! Much smoother running app. LOVE that it saves where we left off and adds it to the top line!"

I really appreciate the show! However, it is only available to load on my phone. I tried to load it on my laptop and it transferred to my phone instead. I cannot view consistently on such a small device. Season one is currently on Netflix. I would think that two would also be. But I will have to wait until it is available. Yes, it is on YouTube, but with ads popping up LITERALLY every 3 minutes, that's insanity.

The series is fantastic! Can't wait for next episode. The app needs a little help. A few issues/suggestions: -No visual indication of which episodes have been watched. -Doesn't automatically resume where you left off. - While credits are rolling, the next episode's audio starts playing. Must completely exit out of app to resync audio & video. - I've tried several times to donate, but red button does nothing. Same with Help. - Couldn't find the app on my smart TV.

Great movie from what I got to see, Season 1 Episode 1-7. After that it just kept crashing on me or would give me a black screen with the circle turning in the middle (buffering). Plus if I tried to cast it to my Chromecast it would crash every time. Then it just got to where I couldn't even open it without it crashing. I got a message that told me to update the app when developer updates due to the app has a bug. 😒

I would give this 5 stars because the show is so fabulous, but every time they update the app, I lose the ability to stream to my TV. This time, I uninstalled and reinstalled and lost streaming altogether. Nowhere on the app, at this time, is there any option to cast to any TV. It's quite annoying because the video quality from casting through YouTube is hideous. I really wish they would get that worked out.

Your app no longer works! I see many people are having the same issue. All I get is the 3 fish and a red error bar saying "something went wrong" and a "try again" button that doesn't work. I have uninstalled and reinstalled many times. I've uninstalled, shut down my phone, turned it back on and reinstalled. Nothing works! I have an Android. I don't know if that matters but just saying. Please fix your app. It will be greatly appreciated! Huge "The Chosen" fan!

The Chosen App no longer works on my Samsung 23+. When I open the app, it displays the Chosen logo, but a message across the top states: "Something went wrong. Retry." No matter how many times I retry, the app doesn't open. I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled. Fails. I have uninstalled, turned off phone, then restarted, reload. Still fails. Need this resolved please.

I had no problem with this app before the latest update. Now it will not open. I keep getting "The Chosen keeps closing". I have restarted my phone and uninstalled the app and installed it again, still nothing. To bad, I watched it a lot on phone. Jan 8, 2024 I installed the app on my phone again and it is working now. I don't know what happened or how it was fixed but very happy now. Thank you if it was The Chosen technology team.

After creating an account (which was frustrating on its own because the app kept freezing during the set up...and kept rejecting the username without enough specifics as to why), sign in didn't work because it says it doesn't recognize the username or the email. So, creating an account was just a waste of time. If the app glitches get ironed out, I'll write an updated review.

The content is good but the app itself sucks. I got the app on Roku but it wouldn't let me watch the new episode. It kept saying I had to log in to watch even though I already did, or it would just kick me out of the app. I tried casting from my phone but it doesn't work, it just makes my TV crash. The only way I can watch it is on my phone but even then the app still doesn't feel that smooth.

I have watched The Chosen (Seasons 1-3) on the app since it was first available with no problem. I have updated the app when required. Season 4 was not available to me in theaters, so I WAITED for it to hit the app. Brushed up on S3 meanwhile. Now S4 is LOCKED & I cannot log in nor create a new account to watch. My email is already in use, but is not found when I try to reset password. I have paid it forward twice w/o issue, & bought DVD's off the app. Now I am locked out. Uninstalling. Bye.

This is one of the most poorly written apps I've ever had the displeasure to use. Please note that I love The Chosen series but the app is pathetic. On Fire TV it doesn't cache credentials so you have to log in every time. On Roku there is no password reset option. For those of us who don't hear well there is no apparent way to set subtitles. I worked as an application developer for decades and I would never have allowed an application like this to be released.

I love the work you guys are doing but this app needs some serious work. I keep trying to watch the show and it skips episodes or doesn't even start them, instead playing a video of Dallas promoting something and after which it pauses and does nothing. I try playing another and it does the same thing and doesnt start the actual episode. I have to watch older seasons on different platforms because I can't on yours.

Love The Chosen program... but since the problems with the Angel Studio issues... had to move to this app (on Fire Cube). All the same issues have been described. The app won't remember your login, won't remember settings like closed captioning... occasional other issues related to screen sizing and resolution. Hope you get these issues fixed!!

This might be the worst streaming app out there. Not only do I have to sign in every time, it loses my progress in the show, and every time I have to restart from the beginning, twice, because the first time starts the show in the wrong ratio. Unfortunately I'm too impatient to wait until The Chosen makes its way to a different streaming service to watch it.

The only thing I'm having an issue with is the TV. I'm using my Roku remote for Season 4 and I rewatched episode 1 two days ago and just finished rewatching episode 2, but for some reason it froze before I can even rewatch episode 3. But yet when I open other apps like YouTube TV, they work. Tried unplugging my Roku device then plugged it back in, that didn't work. Then tried turning off my TV and Roku, that didn't work either. Something has stopped The Chosen from working on my TV.

The app plays for 10 seconds and buffers for 30 seconds. it took me almost 2 hours to listen to the aftershow for episode 5. I say listened because it was unwatchable. At the moment I am using home wifi but it does not recognise it so says I am not connected. had to attempt to watch last night on mobile data. Since it say I am not connected to WiFi I can not chat with an IT person
