It's been a great tool for communication with clients. It also gives me a second number that people can reach me on whether it be calling or texting. There's been a few times that it's gotten a bit laggy or doesn't give me a notification of a call or text, but I usually just closed out the app and restart my phone, which majority of the time... Fixes it. However, the past few days it's been SUPER laggy, doesn't call out, will say "sending* for HOURS after I've texted someone. FIX THESE BUGS!

The last update was horribly horrendous for free users. If you have an older phone, don't even bother. Trust me it will freeze constantly and quickly drain your battery. However, if you pay to have the ads removed and don't cheap out, it's actually ok. I've been using it for about 10 years and years now and since I upgraded my phone and paid for unlimited credits, it's decent. UPDATE 6/22 For some reason now when I make outgoing calls, I'll get a pop-up ad when I hang up.

The fact that I can't even receive ANY type of activation code makes me want to uninstall. The app is slow, there are too many ads, I can't even see when I've sent my messages and the Bluetooth function for calls doesn't even work unless you reconnect them. That makes it completely redundant!! It won't even show you what the YouTube links being sent to you is. It could be kittens, it could be cringe. Don't install this app, you're better off finding another one.

My messages never get through to anyone I text. The messages are marked as delivered, then a little while later, they change back to sent. I sent a customer support request, and they did not answer my question and ended the chat, deeming the problem solved. Not being able to send texts, charging me to receive a code, and the bad customer service lost me.

The absolute BEST textapp I've ever used! I have had this app for years, now! Fortunately, I've been able to keep this same number and account! Even through losing access to it, for months! I used it as my sole # back then. Aww, I really wish they saved or archived my missed messages. And saved my contacts. I lost a lot, when I lost access to the app! I'll never know what some messages sent from specific someone were said! Pics, messages.. ugh! I love saving the sentimental stuff.

I'm being billed monthly for this app, yet the app logs me out every few days. Now I go to log in, and the app is giving me an error message about wrong username or password. This username and password are stored by Google and worked in the past. Now I can't use the app. Customer support reached out by email and had me reset the password. I was able to log in after that. I revised my star rating to 3, from 1.. Still too many ads in something that I'm paying for.

Update: I do not get any of my message notifications, I have to Open the app and check if I have any messages. It's a great second number to use but it definitely has it's flaws. The recent problem: It uses up a lot of data, a lot of battery life, and has more advertisements pop-ups then most other apps, you accidentally tap on a lot of advertisement when you rotate your screen

As far as free numbers go without an active phone this is the best one I have ever used. I use nothing but local Wi-Fi and my phone has never had service. This app offers the best options and it performs the way it claims. I do not experience dropped calls or areas of no service and I live in Elkhart, Indiana, by far nothing close to a big city. If you want to pay for their service you can do that very inexpensively, and you don't have to deal with ads. For $10 you can get all that.

Don't waste your time, completely unreliable. I operate a small business and used this app to send picture updates to my clients of their pets. The area my business is located in has pretty terrible cell reception, so when I found this app I was excited it operated off wifi and I had the ability to disguise my personal number with a different number. However, more often than not the app sends an entirely different picture than the one selected. It even sends photos deleted from my camera somehow

I've used this app for several years, and it has usually worked well. I could receive 2 factor authentication texts, which is a real necessity these days. I've used the free version, but recently, when trying to receive a 2fa text, I get a message from Text Me, saying I can't receive this type of text unless I pay for premium subscription. I wouldn't mind paying a fair fee, but Text Me is asking for $6.99 per week!! Sorry, but I can't afford that.

There's no way to send feedback in the app. It just goes to help articles on the website. There is no message icon on inbox page. You have to add to contacts before you can send a text and send from contacts list. Full of ads, but quiet. Payment options seem ok. There's no way to earn credits to use for free, so why ads, then? Works on Wi-Fi. It's a maybe, not sold.

The ads move around the screen, jump around, cover conversations, and glitch out (trying to get you to click them fraudulently). The app crashes for no reason. Half the time I pick up a call, it doesn't go through. The app doesn't separate texts from calls, so it's impossible to keep track of conversations. The app logs you out, so you miss calls. The app needs you to use it every 15 days or it deactivates your number. This is a disaster of a free messaging app; there are far better options.

Overall this app works great. However answering phone calls with Wi-Fi with this you can't hear anybody on the other side and they can't hear you that's why I'm only giving it 4 stars. I would give it five if the calling worked better. The text work wonderful, and I have been stuck on 465 credits for almost 5 years, so it's been completely free for me. So I can't complain. As I said the text work great but the phone calls not so much.

I'll admit the ads are annoying. Not even so much the ads but how long it takes for the damn X to pop up to close the ad once it's done. But besides that it has worked perfectly fine. Only needed it for a day because T-Mobile went full R for a day, but even though my service is back to normal, I will definitely be keeping the app.

App doesnt send text messages at all. Im certainly putting in country code and everything accurately. The ads are also horrendous. It jumped around and wouldnt go away. Trying to click on the close/exit started downloading something! I've never had any apps advertising successfully scam my inputs into downloading something. Very invasive, fraudulent, and deeply concerning.

This is useless if you need to use this to get a verification code. They want you to pay for their premium subscription in order to do that. 7 dollars per week?! Hah! Anyone who takes 5 minutes to do their research will find an actual legitimate line for less. My mint mobile phone bill is cheaper. Their free trial asks for your card information in hopes that you'll forget to cancel it after you get done doing what you need to do. Also, ads will pop up with no warning and cover the entire screen.

I am a subscriber. The app has a very disturbing and unsettling bug where it sometimes randomly attaches a picture to a message, and not even a picture stored on my phone but one from a totally different conversation with another person and from the past that has already been deleted. I am trying to get a response on this issue that has been escalated. It's not a problem with the phone because it has happened on two different phones made by different manufacturers. This is a huge security flaw.
