Absolutely horrid controls. This game is in 2010 with on screen toggle movement controls. First of all, why the hell is at the top left of the screen and fixed there or even on the screen at all? Secondly, why is it constantly glitchy when trying to use it? It always happen it battle and I try to move away but wind up looking directly into the sky and dying. Makes these damn foot quests a nightmare since they're already difficult as hell to complete to begin with.

Nice premise but the game has several glitches on Android mobile. Had to uninstall the first time to get past the first sailing tutorial. If you're close to an island and look at your map then head back to the game it automatically sets you back to the island you were on. In battle views kept suddenly switching to on deck instead of the normal overview. Very aggravating.

Awesome! Game is fantastic, for what it is, and what it set out to be, it's the complete package. If I could contribute one original idea for you guys, a cinematic camera option for sailing in 3rd person, and in first person maybe an alternate view in the crow's nest or top mast. If you guys complimented these features with an auto sail, well, that'd be sick. Maybe in the sequel? Fingers crossed...

Fantastic! My favorite pirate game thus far. Its difficult to figure things out, and there is a training academy that, sort of tells you, but still havent undersood how to control ship cannons when on foot. Basically the ship to ship is great, but the fps land stuffs is real hard to control. Itd be great if the inventory section was more detailed, like what you need to purchase certain things, and a lot of bugs keep it from being smooth, but for what I paid? No contest! Edit: Please make more!!!

Errors with missions not showing walk through. Missing icons and have to force app shut down. No way to exit the mission. Also once the areas of the map are explored there is little left to do then the town quests and build up your own town. Not truly open world after all. Also items do not change as often as they should dragging game on with no hope of upgraded gear. It is not my job to step through your game and error check it.

Only complaint is the on foot mode is very clunky. Any time I board a ship or walk on the islands. Sometimes my character gets locked in a shooting animation, leaving me unable to attack or block. Other times my character just dies instantly when boarding. Also why is there no healing items while on foot? You take damage way to often and to much with each hit to even explore the islands. And I'm on easy mode.

Good so far. / After a decent amount of gameplay im impressed. Its not perfect by far but at its core is a excellent start to what can be a genre setting game. If the work is put in im excited to see more. A better crafted tutorial(an opt out for free roam try out at each step) balanced combat( a closer look at stats afterwards to show where growth may be needed and a peek at your opponents stats) and of course controls( movement is woof at times). Huzzah!

I've played this game in the past, and it wasn't fulfilling what I wanted in the game. Now that you added the playable character to do boarding... This game is near perfect. I'm giving you 5 stars because you're the only ones to add these features in a pirate game surprisingly. However, if you want an area to improve on, I would love to see a better merchant system. Merchant ships should always drop trade loot and there should be towns where certain goods are more or less valuable.

Nice ! Great quest game with plenty of combat challenges . It's a little bugged up sometimes though. Ship jumping around the grid and a few other things ...don't know the root cause...like a boot-loop , but the ship reappears a in different place ,1 or 2 positions away from the original, on both axis....and instantly slam into a rock...lol ! Maybe an interface issue . Even so, it's a great game!

I love this game it is really fun and full of good detail. I will recommend to anyone looking for a good game. The only issues I have are the controls for hand to hand combat. It seems as if some time it cant tell the difference between looking and walking so it will randomly turn me around in the mist of a fight. If this could be fixed it would be amazing and is there a possibility of making it compatible with gaming pads and controllers.

4 stars, but I'll start with the negative to get it out of the way and confuse you as to why - quests are endlessly repeatable. Useful for leveling but renders them meaningless for story - boarding action isn't a choice. If you accidentally wander into the boarding circle you are boarding whether you wanted to or not - boarding and ground combat suck. Controls aren't good. The camera during boarding combat is an extra enemy to worry about. - takes a really long time to make money BUT I still give it 4 stars because ultimately it's about being a pirate and sailing and the ship combat is a joy. The music is suitably epic. And when you're in a battle against two frigates to either side of you, a giant waterspout ahead of you, and somewhere near is a ship destroying creature from the deep... what more could you want?

Very fun so far. Lots of depth but still approachable. The game is quite large with plenty to do. Ship boarding is also controlled by the player in third person combat which is a lot more fun than just watching a bar fill up. The on foot controls take some getting used to but that isn't a massive part of the game so I can look past it. You can also choose to auto complete naval battles or play them manually.

This game is pretty good. The sea battles and ship customization are excellent. The pathing when you're on foot needs some work, as it's kind of wonky to walk around, but maybe that's the sea legs... After about 20 hours of play I'll say that I'm still going with lots of interest. However, the one thing that will prevent this from being a great open world game is the lack of a cohesive story that propels the protagonist. There are endless missions, but it feels a little random.

Aw man. This DLC is a nightmare. The land battles are way too difficult. You can spend ten minutes trying to get to where you need to be just to be killed in a matter of seconds. Land controls are super clunky. Enemies are super OP. And around 50% of the time I have to restart because of so e insane camera glitch. This thing was not ready for release.

I wish it had a manual save feature it is so frustrating to not be able to save before fighting something you arent sure you can win against. Also the boarding fight controls are sloppy as hell. There is no in-game support or option for support of any kind. The storyline and missions are well done, it would be a great game if it was more playable.

Love the game! Unfortunately I had to stop playing because I can only use one hand. I did okay but eventually couldn't keep up using the controls. Maybe you can have a control preference where you can choose all the controls are on one side or some other arrangements to choose from? As far as the negative aspects of the game, didn't like all the tasks w/o guidance, nor being attacked EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. i set sail somewhere. Every ship I beat, didn't have that much booty but still a solid game.

Great game, but I would like a little more control over third-person camera view. This is personal preference maybe, but I wish I could zoom out a little in third-person perspective (like boarding or running around on an island, etc.). It feel like the camera is zoomed in too tight in those scenarios. I would also like a better wiki for the game. They're is a TON of info not explained in-game, and I've had to Google to find vague info.

For once I'm surprised that the pictures shown in the depiction of the game is actually true to what it shows. Contrary to other applications where they show you one thing and the game is absolutely a completely different thing. Especially for $13. I was expecting a quick bamboozle. Overall the game's pretty good it does get a little bit tedious with the way that the UI is set up but it's easily overlooked.

Game no longer opens. Have to uninstall. Disappointed. When I start the game I see the Hero Craft screen, Lion Shade screen and then the Tempest loading screen when that finishes loading it goes to a quick black screen then the game shuts down. Never had any issues running the game before. Running it on the Galaxy Note 8. Yes, I contacted support. Still not working. All other games and apps working fine though.

First and foremost well rounded game so far.. but that said there so much missing, the ability to jump would be Wonderful when sword fighting. Constantly suck waiting for A.i to move, maybe more swords and abilities to swing them, more guns, more areas to battle with swords, maybe some places to walk around would be cool as well. I'd also love a way to just walk around you're ship and inside the ship as well, would love to see a captain room with interactive thing to do in it.
