Would be good of it was consistent. I use it to manage a tablet on the wall in my son's room. It takes many attempts to connect, and when it finally does, it cuts out randomly and eventually stops responding altogether. This happens every night. Sometimes I have control for 10 minutes, sometimes I have control for an hour. I won't even switch to another app, just keep Teamviewer going, and eventually it just peters out.

The best thing about TeamViewer is the stability. I've never had any issues using it and it has become a must-have. The second best thing about TeamViewer is the cross-platform availability. I can troubleshoot from Linux, Windows, or Android. No more trips to the in-laws! And it's free! What more could you ask for? Update: Tried to submit some feedback on issues with the toolbar redesign to the support email and immediately received a response saying they've discontinued the email.

From 5 stars to 1. I'd give less if I could. Was great software but now can't even connect to my personal devices. Had this issue years ago and had to actually send a snailmail explanation that I'm not commercial. Nothing has changed, and now randomly flagged as commercial again. Screw TeamViewer, and their developers and all other company personnel can FOAD. I tried the reset thing. It was an endless loop of trying to log in. Each attempt, went back to the "click here to login"(3 diff browsers)

Great program, would give it 5 stars, but I keep getting a message saying it's detected commercial use and kicked me off. I have a privet home server I use for plex. I've tried to use TeamViewer to maintain my server. I keep getting kicked off and acused of commercial use. There is no commercial use, my wife and I are the only ones that use the server. Same thing with my desktop computer as well

Used to be better. Over time the software has become increasingly restricted. In the past one could queue multiple downloads/transfers and still interact with the software while the transfers were progressing. Now, one is forced to wait for the single transfer to complete before another can be queued. Teamviewer's algorithms to detect comercial use are faulty. Teamviewer is difficult to contact. I'd provide details, but, this review is limited to 500 characters.

I don't know where they got the idea that I'm a business, and not eligible for free use of the Teamviewer app. A few years ago, they had me provide evidence to them that I'm using the app solely as a private individual. I filled out the forms and submitted them. They were satisfied. Nothing has changed, but again, they've "detected" something suspicious. It was simply convenient for me to wirelessly send files across the room, from phone to PC. Heck with it, I'll use a flash drive instead.

Rating is for the free license. Used this for years until it started flagging me for commercial use and denying connections; I only use it to manage my laptop and troubleshoot family PCs remotely. Seems this is a large scale issue that keeps turning up even after being cleared by the TV staff as private use. Requesting the latter requires giving them PII. Switching to an alternative and uninstalling from everyone's PCs. Really disappointed, guys.

I've used TeamViewer for personal use for well over 4 years now. The app works great. however, I gave a low rating because my account has recently been flagged as having "commercial use", reducing me to 5min per day. This was a great surprise to me, as I'm just connecting to my home desktop computer to perform basic home computing from my phone. I called customer support, and they told me I had to upgrade to a paid commercial account to continue my personal usage. Uninstalled, and customer lost.

Can't do its sole purpose. Unable to connect to anything. Not my tablet, not my desktop, not my laptop, nor my phone, and doesn't matter what network or devices as long as one is Android, it will not work. VNC from 2008 is still better in quality, usefulness, visually, and speed. TV used to be okay, but like most OS'es, apps, programs, drivers, games, and so on, there's no good devs left. I'm about done with the poor quality of it all. Everyone dreads updates, as they always break more than fix

Works really well until it randomly decides you're using it for commercial use and locks you out in a way you can do literally nothing about. it won't let me do a session for longer than 5 minutes now, and I've only ever used it to connect my laptop and phone to my personal computer. support doesn't care about people who don't pay, either. Great program, guys. 🙄 I used to recommend this to everyone, but now I'm gonna tell all those people to use something else instead.

Veryyyyy buggy. Usually I have to use anydesk as a backup because that's how unreliable TeamViewer is. There's also this new resolution thing in the app where it auto adjusts the resolution to fit the phone screen and I have to manually switch it back to do not adjust / maintain ratio every single time I connect. And no, there's no setting anywhere to keep it at what I want it to be, and changing it isn't remembered either.

I've been using TV for a fair number of years now, and the quality and capability of the product have improved at an incredible rate. Virtually no lag, excellent UI for using remote devices, and an intuitive Classic interface. The New interface is a bit much for my fairly basic personal use cases, but it's incredibly easy to switch to the (relatively) basic Classic version.

This product is going downhill quickly. It used to be the premier software for remote connections, but now if you even look at it wrong it will say commercial use detected and kick you out. You cant contact support without a paid license, and those start at 25 dollars a MONTH. Features have been removed (file transfer a big one) from the free version. I have moved over to Splashtop because their paid plan is less per year than this one is per month. Sad to see them abandoning their original usrs

Just trying to help my parents and grandpa, but here we go again with the "Commercial Use Detected" false detection. None of the computers are on domains, or are server OSs, so I don't know what their problem is. Filling out the reset form is a shot in the dark. I regret convincing my previous employer to switch to TeamViewer from their previous remote desktop solution.

I use it to controll my pc Hooked to my tv but it kicked me to a commercial lisense. works ok but it is bad at seperating how it is used and rather irritating for me. I have thought about trying other options because of it. And then the desktop app keeps injecting its shortcut onto my empty background at every update. Seems for the convience it was more and more it just wants to push the paid licence and at that price it is not worth that. When i get free maybe i should set up the windows app

The "free for non-commercial use" description is just a scam to force you into paying. I have verified with multiple devices across multiple accounts that after a certain amount of time the app just locks you out saying "commercial use detected" pay us now to keep using. Customer service/support refuses to respond to "free" customers and hangs up as soon as they realize you not subscribed. Just more evidence that "free for non commercial" is an outright lie".

TeamViewer has become a complete waste of time! This was once an amazing service, but in the past two months, it has collapsed into a useless waste of time for free users. I have used it exactly the same way for years but it now claims I'm using it in a "commercial environment" and all attempts to resolve, reset, or communicate with anyone at the company have been completely ignored.

Good when it works, TERRIBLE when falsely getting flagged for commercial use repeatedly and can't access my home pc for more than a minute (even though they claim to give 5 minutes)! Also, there's no way to contact support as a free user, so you're at the mercy of them fixing whatever error caused your account to be flagged for commercial use. After more than a decade with TV, it's about time for me to find another remote service.

Terrible, definitely trying it's a force everyone to do the paid version. I get flagged as commercial all the time, Just trying to access a PC that doesn't have a monitor that I use for media server in my house. It constantly tells me I'm a commercial application and have to buy the paid version, then it tells me that I'll have 5 minutes to actually use the product before it disconnects. That usually lasts about 30 seconds and it will automatically disconnect me and give me a warning.

After a decade of personal use, the powers that be decided I was actually using their product commercially, cutting off access to my personal computers to thirty second intervals every couple of minutes. The appeals process for this is ridiculous. And there's nothing really beyond that you can do. It was great when it worked, but this sucks. Really sucks. So I use Splashtop now.
