App lacks multiple features the other banks i do business with have. And most importantly, for the features it does have, half of them have ceased to work. For example, i tap secure messages, and a blank screen comes up . I can't go back to the previous screen, even using the back button on the phone. I end up having to crash the app and go in again. Still never loads half the menu items.

It WAS much easier than my last bank when depositing checks. Well, that last update killed it. Can no longer deposit checks from the app. Instead of waiting for me to get the check centered and take the picture, it takes a photo of the check before it is in focus. After you do front and back of check and hit deposit, then it gives an error that it can not read all the info. No indication if the front or back is the problem, so you have to do it all again. At one point, it offered to switch to manual to take the picture, but that did not work either. Was never again able to get it to switch to manual. never was able to deposit the check.

I always get an error when trying to transfer money via Zelle. Zelle works fine in the website itself when sending and receiving funds, but I should be able to to do in the app without issue. I just get a generic "We're working on it!" landing page and a button for status updates that says there's nothing to be found. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app didn't help things. Very disappointing to have this issue.

Spring 2021 major usability issues Specifically, the Android app throws an error and will not allow login. Everything works smoothly in a web browser, but the app issues persist for over a month and through updates. This appears to be a widespread issue just looking at the review comments here. I finally got it working, but only after completely uninstalling and then reinstalling the current version of the app. No guidance, assistance, or response from TD Bank. Seems like they are not upholding their end of the bargain for user access and might have trouble collecting overdraft fees, etc. when users have no access to their account info.

Works as long as you don't use the bill pay. I tried to add a payee 3 times over 20 min. Wouldn't stick at all so couldn't set up a payment. So much for making things convenient. Perfect app if all you want to do is check your balance. Addendum: Just as worthless if you want to deposit a check through the app. Kept saying the information I submitted, which was the amount of the check, wasn't matching the check. Worst bank app I've ever used. Now down to 1 star.

Since I joined TD Bank and downloaded the app, it takes FOREVER to load my account or do anything! Definitely impossible to quickly check balance on the go. When my service is great. It's only this app. And it's disappointing there isn't a way to set up notifications everytime my card is used or a transaction goes through. Not even texts? I'm thinking of switching just for that reason. I like to be notified when there's activity.

Mobile deposit bugged. As soon as I take the 2nd picture of my check, the app freezes and becomes unresponsive. I've restarted my phone, reinstalled the app, I've taken the photos back first/ front second. I don't know what else I can do differently on my end to fix this problem, and I don't see how it can be fixed without a patch. I have an older phone (Pixel 3a XL) but still unforgivable in my opinion.

This is a decent app but could use some major improvements. For instance, when you click on the app, it takes you to a menu where you click on the menu item you want to select..but then it prompts you to use your fingerprint. Instead it should allow you to simply touch the TD icon, and prompt for your fingerprint immediately, this giving you access immediately to your account. It just seems backwards.

This used to work very well but for the last couple of months is just not working. Fingerprint option can not be enabled and every time i'm trying to login is automatically taking me out. I've Uninstalled and installed it lots of times but stil having the same issue. I understand the issues you might having during this pandemic but should have been fixed by now. Please do something about it! Thank you!

The app is snappy and easy enough to use, but there is one obnoxious exception. I can't turn on biometric login when USB debugging is enabled. I've never seen another financial app do this. It's not like that gives me root access or anything. On top of that, my password manager can't detect the login textboxes, so I have to manually paste in the password. It makes it take 10 times longer to just get into the app.

Update 4-2022: Was having problems, program just closes in various sections in the program. Finally deleted temp/data files "in the program section", not just temp files. Fine after that. Awful. Never had a problem with the previous one. This July 2016 version just does not function on my Andriod. Won't focus, freezes, have to go to manual mode and even then it does not work 70 percent of the time. Usually takes 2 -4 min after trying again and again to get it to deposit a check.

It's not good or bad it's just average for a bank app. I wish there was an option for text alerts or push notifications. Email alerts just don't cut it. You're not a small company, if other banks and credit cards can figure it out you can too. In response to TD: I did download the other app (Which is ridiculous by the way). It only works for transactions. I'm looking for a balance threshold notification. That can only be done via email. I don't constantly check email so it's not helpful.

I can no longer use mobile deposit. Just like some other reviews on here the first picture works fine, but when I try to take the second picture the screen has a black border around it and the camera is only a small window in the center and the check image is rotated 90 degrees. Not the best explanation, but it just doesn't work. I tried restarting the phone, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, and called tech support. No help. They said there's no issues with the app. Pixel 3a xl.

TD's app is designed fairly nicely. It's got the standard selection of banking options and isn't difficult to use. It works well and I have no grievance with its set up. That's is, when it works. More often than not, the app crashes on loading. Or it'll take me to the login screen where I'm notified that the fingerprint option is not available at this time. Even then, sometimes after entering my credentials and logging in, the app immediately logs back out with a snarky 'see you soon' message displayed. Real classy, TD. There's been times where I needed to make a payment but was unable to because I couldn't access my account. There's been times where I was unable to see if a check cleared because the app was down again. TD, as a bank, you can't afford to operate your business with the same relaxed attitude as a semi-retired fisherman. Banking information can't only be available on days the app happens to want to work.

Way too many bugs. Fingerprint turns off and when I try to enable it again, it spins and spins and nothing happens. Sometimes Zelle works, other times it doesn't, again does nothing. It would be nice if it displayed updated account balances every time you make a purchase. I'm really missing BofA and its flawless app. Everything works all the time and gives you much more info. I'm using a Note 10 with both TD app and phone software updated. This is a disgrace of an app for TD.

The app just doesn't work how it used to. It takes a long time to load to the log on screen, and when you enter your log in credentials, you can't even access your account information. It puts you back on the log in landing page to re-enter your login credentials. I just go on the web to see my stuff, which is inconvenient because of the extra verification steps, but by far way less stressful than using the app.

Mobile deposit used to work great. Now it's terrible. Doesn't work at all. Edit: Six plus months and the app is still trash. It works well taking the picture of the back of a check. But the front of the check for some reason just won't work. All it keeps saying is Get Closer, Use Dark Background, and it keeps asking for the front of the check when that's what I am trying to take a photo of!!!!

This app is great so far, the latest version has fixed issues with the mobile deposit auto picture taking finally! Very convenient! Great job TD! Edit: the fingerprint scanner, though it works well, should load much faster than it does. I know for a fact that it's not my phone because it did the same thing on my previous HTC phone. It's definitely on your end, I would see if it can be loaded up much faster. Also why can't I check my bank account sometimes on the weekend? Also the fingerprint scanner goes down for maintenance every weekend, so does the app itself, what's going on? Thanks

Since I downloaded the newest update this app has absolutely sucked. It takes 4ever to open, majority of the time when I try and open the app it gets stuck on this white screen with a green banner across the top and just stays there. I literally have have to open/close the app no less than 10 times for it 2 actually semi work correctly. Once its not frozen it takes 4ever 2 recognize my fingerprint. Release a better update 2 fix this. TD DO BETTER!!!!!!

Update: works again. Thank you for fixing the issue. Original issue: Been working great for the past 10 years, stopped working today. White screen with green header and footer. Update: Was able to get around this after a reinstall, and by doing a long-press on the application and going to "view accounts". Somehow that bypasses the main loading screen. Just opening the application still results in the white screen issue.
