Please don't change old patterns. The new update is neat, but some of my old favorite patterns have been drastically changed, to the point where they should basically be different patterns. For example, "Epazote," my favorite pattern, used to be a very flat, minimalist design, with almost no "empty" space between the squares. The new version of Epazote features a bunch of blur, drop shadows, a TON of missing space between the squares, and isn't minimalist at all anymore, which is what I liked about it (I even turned off all of the new "effects," thinking it would help; it did not). I know this was a 2 year overdue update, but you really can't change patterns like this and call them the same things. Please, bring all of the old style patterns back; if you *must* innovate on old patterns, leave the old ones as they were and introduce new patterns, i.e. "Epazote 2" or "Epazote Neo." But changing everything about an old pattern and calling it the same thing is just misleading. Thank goodness downgrading is so easy on Android, because that's what I'll have to do until this is addressed.

UPDATE: Changed my rating from 5 stars to 1. The most recent update erased all of my custom colors and backgrounds. Even the backup folder was gone. ORIGINAL REVIEW: This is the most fantastic app for wallpapers. The best is that it saves your settings and favorited wallpapers so that when switching to a new phone, they all are still there. Another really great feature is the level of customization. I hope they keep adding more and more patterns. I really love this app!

Bummer you can't add this to family plan. A bit buggy. Even with Master switch off still changes at times. It will also lock onto the dark setting even when it isn't checked. Have to restart the app to get it to display bright wallpapers again. Walpapers often cut in half...etc etc. Just generally a buggy experience. Over all I so still like and use it. I even bought premium but it's definitely not perfect.

This is my highest ranked wallpaper app. Beyond amazing! And, being from Ethiopia, I really appreciate the light reference made to the country and it's culture. Kudos!! I just wish I have access to buy the full version. This is my first time coming back to give more positive review for an app. It is becoming a pastime app for me. The endless iterations it gives is breathtaking. It is so interesting, I don't even have a favourite pattern or color combination. Again, kudos for the developer!

App used to be great, but it's slowly losing functionality for those using it for free. The latest update decided that the quick shortcuts on the icon and parallax size images are now a premium feature. Really? Okay... Redefining the base user doesn't entice me to pay, it annoys me. How about adding features for those who pay you rather than removing things from those who don't.

Great little app. I've set it to produce random material style wallpapers with the colors and patterns I like. Great. The reason it's only 4 stars and not 5 is because I can't access the external SD card to use my collection of wallpapers. It only gives access to the internal storage. Other wallpaper apps can access the external SD card, why not this app? EDIT: Gone from 4 to 3. I've set specific colors for the generator. I've toggled the switch to only use the colors I've selected but it still uses colors I've not selected. Very annoying. Maybe this app isn't as good as I first thought.

Personally I find the lastest update (Mar 10 2024) is harder to use with unnecessary animations and features. It now wants you to get premium if you like to target the wallpaper either the home screen or lock screen. The free default only option is to target both. I hope that the app brings back the old UI and features. Otherwise, it's unusable to me.

I've enjoyed watching Tapet evolve over the last six years (ish) since I first installed it. Not every update has been the greatest, but the ones that were a little buggy on my device were never a problem for long. The developer seems very committed to maintaining and refining the product without compromising the core features I liked from the start. Such as the clever way they've integrated a diversity of domestic cat breeds into the UI. Yes, cat breeds. Smash da button

This is the best themes app to date. UI friendly, and just with the free version, saves, saves to your phone, favorite's, adjust screen size, choose display intervals both lock and home, choose to lock the screen, catalog your wallpaper, it's one heck of an amazing app. I plan to update to the premium version. Also I have not detected and virus or malware, that I have detected before in other themes app. Best app of 2022, great job and thank you. And did I mention NO ADS!!!!!

Does not work as expected. I regret paying for this app. The main problem is that when I open the app and pick a wallpaper, it does not show the modifications that I am applying to it. For example, there is no way to tell what the blur effect will look like until I actually set it as my wallpaper; also, when I am in the app working to tweak a wallpaper, it changes pattern without notice. Considering that this is an expensive app (relative to the Google play store), I'm very disappointed.

I really like this app. It will procedurally generate wallpapers of lots of different patterns. The included palettes are quite good, but I appreciate being able to set my own. I love to lock the palette and have Tapet generate random patterns with my preferred palette. Often, I don't even use them for wallpapers, I'm just using them as novelty-seeking behavior. I really enjoy having access to the premium patterns, and found it to be well-worth the cost.

Previously a 5 star paid user. Now a 2 star paid user because of the unworkable / confusing new interface. The app suddenly started (presumably when the new interface was loaded) using a lot of unwanted patterns. I only want Chartreux, nothing else. I've now managed to restore the app settings. Hopefully I do not have to navigate that interface again. Will reinstate 5 stars if the interface reverts to the old version or the unwanted features can be removed/hidden in the new.

I do not like the new interface with the new update. Not as intuitive. It's also more annoying to use your own images as backgrounds. Before, you could select a folder. Now, you must select each image individually to add to a playlist. Also, the app won't let me upload a fair amount of images because they're "inappropriate," even though they're not, and won't allow me to appeal the decision. Also ridiculous to have such a limitation when the images aren't. Big downgrade.

The new app design and color schemes and in depth altering is cool and all... But it's not flowing to me like it used to. I switch one thing up and somehow 6 other things ended up reversing. I don't get it. It's just not doing it for me anymore... Thanks for all the years... But something is just ugly. Maybe I'll try again after a nice long break😊

I'M STARTING TO FIGURE THIS OUT. While on semi-vacation so can focus, but APP NOW SEEMS CLUNKY, NONSENSICAL. Glad my pallets did not disappear!! But may uninstall as soon as I transfer my color schemes into another app. A tutorial after latest update would have been ideal. I'm not able to word/email my Qs to dev. I've had pro for probably 10 years or more // Absolutely love it! This is a meditation, therapy, toy, brain enhancer, as well as wonderful ideal wallpapers that light up my day!

Bring back backup and restore options. Add the option to disable the social aspect of the app. I don't want to see an endless feed of people I don't care about. This shouldn't be a"social" app or I should have the option to decide. The latest version destroyed this app for me. The developer is ignoring the messages I sent regarding this issues.

I love being able to set it to be a different wallpaper every day, my entire phone changes color schemes and it makes using my devices really fun. Edit: I don't like the way the new Tapet is going. I miss the simplicity and don't care about all the new playlist settings and such. I hope the dev adds a button to just set random for all and apply because that's what I do or want to do.

The app is great if you want to pay monthly for all the good features. When I first installed, everything unlocked was amazing and the premium was worth a one time purchase (def not a subscription). Since then, you have continually punished free users by removing functions and locking them behind the subscription. The UX has always been awful, but it too keeps getting worse. The UX was manageable for a free app... Now there's nothing redeemable about this app and it's time to uninstall

I have used Tapet for nearly a decade, loved it, paid money for Premium. But whatever these last few updates have been are hot garbage. I don't want themes, friends, playlists, I don't care about any of that. I care about having an app which works - and a lot of the time since the rebuild restructure whatever they did, it does not work. Wallpapers stay stuck on my phone until I force them to refresh despite settings being set for hourly. WHY DO THIS? GIVE ME BACK THE OLD GOOD APP PLEASE.

I love this app. Lets you choose and edit palettes, lets you choose patterns. Applies the palettes to the patterns to create unique wallpapers. I save the wallpapers as images and use them if/when I want to. I'm not interested in connecting my google account and whatever else they have going on now.
