Thanks a lot for adding the opportunity to copy text in explanations ❤️ It would be great if you develop mistake and fluency statistics, add new types of questions plus exclude the questions that I have already answered (hobby, travel, superpower etc). Good luck!

Too expensive give that chat bots are freely abundant online and deepl exist. Also, this is not for beginners. If you are already at a conversation level, want to practice, and pay 6.99/month to do so, then this is the app, otherwise look elsewhere. I did like the narrator however, very natural sounding. RESPONSE: Yeah, uhuh, because canned responses always come with genuine consideration of user feedback. Why even bother responding to me review?

I've been using the paid version of Talkpal since May and I absolutely love it. Siempre he tenido problemas con el español debido a una discapacidad de aprendizaje. I'm hopeful Emma and the other AI characters can help me communicate better. I recently used their customer service and it was spot on immediate and helpful resolve the problem 💯 I've tried them all and this one's well worth $$

This app is incredibly good to practice an active use of the language. I find it a bit limited for absolute beginners of a language, but awesome if you already have the basics. One star less cause the AI voices still sound a bit robotic (I have the paid version). Will change to 5 if this gets improved.

I seldomly encountered problem during free version..but on the first day i paid it- thats how i started encountering problems..Ai is no longer responding to my questions Update after 30 days: System has became worst especially with the new update.U can no longer check the message during conversation . In Talk mode, Emma pronounces all words inside *...*, that serve simply to describe her emotions. For example *smile*. Hearing that during dialog is very confusing. My wishes: 1. Opportunity to choose different persons (not only Emma), different voices, female and male for chatting and calling. I got tired of this machine voice of Emma. 2. It's good to see corrected messages. But it takes much time to find my mistakes. I would like to see my mistakes marked. 3. History of chats to recall dialogs

One of the best apps for learning English. The premium version is exceptional, offering a comprehensive set of features that truly enhance the learning experience. However, in Call Mode, it would be immensely beneficial to have options beyond Emma's voice. Adding different voices and allowing users to choose would further elevate the app's usability and personalization. Overall, a top tool for English learners.

This app offers amazing speaking practice for those who don't have someone to practice, can't coincide with friends in a different time zone, can't afford a speaking tutor or... Are simply too shy to start their speaking practice with a real human. I love the detailed feedback, the different practice modes, the variety of languages and how complete the free version is with annoying ads! I'd give it 6 stars ✨✨

Loving the feedback. The A.I really feels like you are talking to a real individual. I also like that it gives you feedback for your responses. The different scenarios are also awesome. I can see myself using each of the different roleplays in real life. Definitely feel more confident.

UPDATE: Within a few days the items below have been FIXED! #1, when typing, the writing is a white on white background so you can't see what you are typing. #2, after you finish the session everything goes to a white screen and you almost have to close the app out and reopen it to see the main screen. I do like the fact I can write or talk in my native language in the app will translate to my TL. Also I LOVE the amount of topics available to practice.

I enjoy this app. But trying to read the corrections while listening is hard. And reading the correctins after having said something is ok but not ideal. Even the text to print doesn't provide real time corrections. Maybe that's something to consider for the future.

I would say that this app is probably good for practicing when you already know the language probably if you were taking classes in school during or after the second year. As a newbie the AI does not tailor it's responses/questions even after repeatedly asking it to and it really doesn't even teach It just speaks like an AI(long fully detailed messages) in another language and there's a translate button. I might go back to one of these after I learn a bit more but probably not this one.

I finally noticed the "feedback" red dot, which is finally leting me start to learn microfragments of romanji! The proper japanese characters are useless to me at this stage of my progress. I will have to use this app every "day" for it to become useful, as each "day" is about 5 minutes of conversation only. But she remembers my name from when I last used the app many weeks ago... that part is nice!

Works well sometimes. The feedback it gives me is sometimes irrelevant and has nothing to do with what I typed. It's also reall advanced and you have to know a lot even when you select level A1/A2. My biggest problem with it is that when I try to talk to it, it always has the same message: "We couldn't recignize your recording. Please try again." I've tried this on four devices and it still has the same problem. I'm not sure if my accent is just bad, or if it's the app's fault.

This seems to have the same issue that all AI tutors have. AI can speak on any topic. But it doesn't instruct or teach. It may correct pronunciation, but it's not going to teach you a beginner conversation. Not the way a parent reading a very *very* basic book to a child does. "I have a ball." "The ball is red". And then explains something like how "have" is conjugated. Or "I have a" as opposed to "Mine ball." Or when we use "i" versus "me". I hope some AI app company uses AI more progressively.

Oh my god. Freaking amazing! Even the free version is just fantastic. I plan on getting the pro just because this is such a cool app. It's just like talking to or texting a real person, and it even lets you choose whether you want to see corrected grammar (and explanation why) so you don't feel Intimidated. I can't get over how cool this app is, and how much it's going to help me learn additional languages. Well done!

The app is great for what it does. It provides an easy way to gain conversational practice in a mew language, without worrying about mistakes. The daily life scenarios are wonderful to practice going to coffee shop, clothes shopping, or any other activity. However, I would like a way to learn the pronunciation of chinese characters I'm corrected on. If there was a way to click on a specific character and see the pinyin for it, this would be an even better learning experience.

It works pretty good. There is a couple minor bugs though. For instance when you select some text and long hold it brings up a menu with translation, but it only translates into a few languages. There is a 'more apps' section in there thay makes it seem like you can turn on Google translate as an option, but it doesn't actually change anything when you turn it on. You still don't have access to google translate.

#Hey, what happening here? I already had 2 days in a row, experiencing issues. Yesterday, I could not hear the answer, and now I can't connect with the error : something went wrong.# My journey to level up my speaking skills is assisted a lot by talkpal. I sent an email suggesting a new feature to boost confidence as a language learner. Hopefully, you can consider it. Thanks

I love the different scenarios and the ability to review my conversation against what it should be. I think sometimes it gets a little picky on grading my conversation when it is the AI that took down my words, etc, wrong, but it generally understands me very well. Being able to speak within a given context makes it much easier to understand and train my ear, as well.
