I can't speak to how well it works to help wake up, but it's the best strategy I've developed to break out of hyperfocus mode and make sure I actually switch to my next task or get going where I need to go. I use the setting that requires X number of steps to silence the alarm & don't allow snooze. Would love a timer feature, but it isn't too hard to use the alarm as a timer & it works wonders on its own. Best of its kind that I've tried.

Downloading this app was a good choice. I use the free version, the occasional ads don't really bother me. I love that I can gain access to my music 🎶 as an option for an alarm. The option to have alarm labels read aloud is cool. Being a self entertained individual, I can put silly things to be read as the alarm goes off. I especially love the option of having to do math problems to snooze or dismiss alarms. So now I can have a chuckle 🤭 as I do my math. Highly recommended.

I use the talking alarm to keep track of what I need to do when. I love that it allows me to repeat the alarm in so many different time combinations (daily, weekly, day of week, multiples of days weeks or months) and I can easily skip before the event if I've completed the task. I use for chores, water intake, appointments, and so much more. I do wish it had a countdown feature for events in the far distant future.

I've enjoyed using this app so far. The only thing I would change would be a way to turn off the alarm while using other apps (like while playing a game) without backing out of the app in use to open up the alarm. Edit: just recently ads started appearing each time I open the app. I'm sick of ads everywhere and definitely don't want to see them on my alarm clock also.

I had to replace the app that came with my phone (android) because it inexplicably stopped working. I'm sorry I didn't do this much sooner! I can choose from any one of a number of great options from what wakes me up (and it provides radio stations!) to what days or repeating patterns I can set. About everything that can be adjusted is adjustable, even the shutoff method for those who shut off alarms in their sleep. I highly recommend it!

Way better than the app that came with my phone. It removes alarms once they've done, unless it is repeating. It sorts them in the order that they will sound. I like that it announces alarm label, if you choose. Otherwise, nothing fancy or over the top. It's just a simple well thought out app. My complaint is the window to disarm when in use takes you to a different screen. It should be a simple dismissal. I don't love that it leaves the screen on after dismissal for an ad. Extra steps but free.

Nice flexible alarm clock with useful features, better than the simple one included with my phone. Bought (so I never saw ads) to replace another paid alarm clock app that had some annoyances that the developer wasn't interested in addressing. However this developer immediately responded to a suggestion and agreed it would be a useful feature that would be added.

Wow, just downloaded and it's so nice to"hear" the alarm if busy doing something for a bit and you can have the snooze time shortened as the alarm keeps snoozing... Still making adjustments and then I'll have to copy all my alarms over. I'm thinking if I'm doing something and an alarm goes off, maybe we could speak out loud to it, saying snooze..? Thanks

Best app around for hearing the time without getting my phone out first. Some things to mention: the supposed voices, accents, and speaking speed available sound very similar (my non flagship phone?); furthermore an extremely speeded up voice plays in the app (I forget where), likewise, instead of Google's voice, that same warped voice bleeds over to my YouTube search box!?!? How is this possible!!! Please fix. Other than those things, this app has many available choices, thank you.

To the creators: there are more ads now than when I first downloaded some years ago, can I pay for a version with no ads? Original review: I downloaded 21 alarm apps looking for the best one and this is the winner... I use it for tasks every day. I love the SKIP feature, the clear, user-friendly set-up, you can choose amount of time for snooze, & you can choose your own sound and how loud, plus no big ads. This one has everything and is my favorite hands down. ♥️

I grade on what is, not it could be, and not what it will be. This app is really great, except that it is not compatible with smart watches, per an email from thy developers. Once they add this feature my rating will adjust, for the moment it is at 3 stars. I'm hoping and praying they will enable it for my smart watch or this app will be useless to me as I try not to pull out my phone all day long. I paid for the premium version because the free version had a horrible amount of bugs.

This alarm app is wonderful! It's very accurate & dependable, going off when it is supposed to & I love the features it has, like, for instance, speaking out loud, what the alarm is for (after you've put a label on it) & I like how it gives you the option to how you want to dismiss the alarm, including doing a math problem(s), & other ways that require you to think, which wakes you up better than standard way. I definitely recommend this app !!

The BEST, most full-featured alarm clock App - at last! Talking Alarm Clock has improved feature implementations across the board - offering even greater functionality - which goes well beyond simple, voiced alarms. I compared, feature-by-feature, with the "extreme" app, which was deprecated (end-of-life) just so they could force paid users to re-purchase a license . This app is FAR superior. No BS. I love the Talking Alarm Clock app.

This is not an alarm clock. It's an ad generator that happens to have an alarm function built in. The alarm user interface makes is not good. Lacks functions that would make it user-friendly. And the ads are everywhere and constant. And it's always THAT ONE app (you know which one) that is being pushed. If you want to support that sort of dystopia be my guest. I switched to an old-fashioned alarm clock.

ABSOLUTELY GREAT TALKING ALARM!! I got a new phone 2 years ago with great features, but the alarm it had didn't meet all my needs. Talking Alarm Clock Beyond fills all my requirements and many more. Highly customizable with many unexpected great features. I am extremely satisfied with it. I strongly urge you to read about its features, then download and test it for yourself. No glitches. You'll be very satisfied, and it's FREE!!! It's one of the best apps on my smartphone. Definitely a keeper.

Exceptional app. I'd used another challenge alarm app for 1+ yr, which I was very content w/ until scammy ads became a consistent issue. I then tried a couple of others before finding this one. It does nearly everything better + has unique features like talking (which actually helps more than expected). Pros: Interface looks nice, crisp, & clean. Almost no ads on the free version, and they're legit. Good options for free. Amazing support team. Cons: occasional tiny glitches.

By far the most useful & dependable alarm app I've ever used. The UI is quite simple and very easy to customize. I really like the feature where it speaks any message you type in. The ads are non-intrusive-you'll barely notice them at all. What puts this app over the top is all of the options for settings. For example, multiple sound types to choose from like online radio, or from a playlist, even option to stream! Also the updates have NEVER caused any glitches on any of my devices ever.

This is simply a suggestion. It would greatly simplify and be very expedient if the individual alarms could be either deleted or turned on/off by swiping them to either the left or right side. This is a very convenient feature available in both Outlook and Gmail apps for dealing with emails in the inbox (or any folder), and I think could be very useful as an optional feature in the Alarm Clock Beyond's Alarms list. Fantastic app as it is though, with plenty of great features

Love this app! It's very easy to use. It can set for one time is the next 24 hours, a specific calendar date, and as a recurring date (repeats on a daily or weekly basis). Text for each can be added as well as many alarm settings: I set tone/music to play, its volume and that it starts low and builds over X number of minutes , that it vibrates, etc). I have over 20 recurring alarms set, so I configure the app to show active alarms first (which makes this easy app even easier to use).

I have just downloaded this app and set a few alarms, and so far I like it. One function I really need though and have had on other alarms is not available, and want to request a change. That is for a recurring alarm, for instance once a month, I need to be able to set it to occur monthly "on the 2nd Saturday", or "on the 3rd Tuesday" rather than simply monthly on a particular date. Without this change I will not be able to use this alarm.
