Playing Talisman is actually pretty fun! The app allows you to play with up to six players on a single device. It has all the expansions for extras for purchase with some digital ones. Looking forward to more updates to it!

Game itself is fun. However every time I try to select the middle space on the top of the board, it wastes a fate point and rerolls my dice. Really sucks because my most recent game had a shrine there and I wanted to land on that square but can't.

I'm glad I didn't give up playing and kept trying to improve. This game is great, but the tutorial is very lacking! Also, a weighed dice option would be appreciated for AI games (with disabled achievements/conquest), to make newbies used to hard rules and stuff likely to occur. I can now calmly accept passing 4 turns in a row and dying as a ghost with a high level character at turn 30+, or losing because someone teleported to the crown, but at the start even rerolling 1 into 1 was hard to take.

I would give this a higher rating, but I cannot use items or trade trophies. I tap the cards at the right time but they do not activate. These used to work. I am willing to change my review once this issue is fixed, but until then this is spoiling the game. Update 11/14/19: now every card encountered on the board is the sentinel from the bridge. This is definitely broken. Update 12/10. The issues have now been resolved. Now that this is working properly, I am changing my rating, good fix!

Love this game. Noticing there isn't much room for spell useage, being I want to use the spell as a reaction to an event. Instead it will be "qued" and then only triggered on those conditions. not sure if it is a glitch, had multiple games where spells would not allow proper targeting. Ex: Cast -Immobility and my character is the only possible target. (Double, tripple checked for passive events/conditions/magic objects tjat would cause it.)

The AI is annoying, the UI requires a million clicks and doesn't manage conditionality, at all, and the game takes longer to play than the physical game. This is a classic example of a video game version being worse than the analog game. The solo version should be a quick and fun experience that recapitulates the fun of the board game while the computer manages all of the upkeep. Instead this version makes the player do extra upkeep and says the game of it's fun.

Coming from an older version, game mechanics are good as ever but changes to sound FX and dice role animation are abysmal. This may sound like nitpicking but it's not because both these things are ever-present. Distinct, memorable sound FX were replaced with generic dings and clangs. Made the dice smaller and harder to read - why?? Also, the dice now dart all over the board only to be pulled back to a spot after they've finished their frantic journey. All this has taken UX down a peg or two.

Keeps logging me out and says I have too many linked accounts. I only have it installed on my phone and chromebook. This has been fixed once before, but now it started again. It's annoying. Also, it needs immersive mode on phone to prevent screen burn of android controls on long games. I'd play it more on my phone if it filled the screen.

I have been playing Talisman the boardgame for almost 20 years and this app is a faithful, polished, and very enjoyable adaptation. Learning curve on buttons and turn sequence may be a little steep but the manual is helpful. Most of my playtime has been on airplanes and I am very happy that this does not require an internet connection to play. I have purchased all of the expansions and I feel I have barely scratched the surface of the game.

I like the game, but the HUGE error is with fast forwarding the AI players and finding out you are now dead, a toad, or lost everything which happens many times. You can normally counter it in real life, but they don't pause the fast forward for stuff cast on the human player. NO ONE has time and patience, and vision, to stare at each AI player's moves for hours per game, especially on a phone. I have brought this to the developer's attention, but they seem to only care about what you buy.

Great game. The DLC gets a little bit clunky and pricy, in my opinion most DLC is not worth it. The game also gives massive luck buffs to the AI and struggling players for some reason, probably in the name of "balance". Still its fun to play and I highly recommend it. If you dont want the game to ensure balance across all players then I recommend the board game.

This game has me hooked! One of the best games I've ever played. A very straight to the point RPG board game. Bought the game and expansion on Nen. Switch. Bought the mobile version and all my content was on my device, just create profile.I want to rate it 5 stars so bad, but when I found out you can't save your online game that bummed the $h!+ out of me. Should be, where the host keeps the saved game and can switch from saving and ending the game, back to hosting and reconnecting live somehow.

Really fun game, it's just like the board game! The only bad part is how easy it is to disconnect. Most apps/games run really well in the background but not this one. Even just pulling down my notification tab would sometimes cause me to disconnect. The good thing is it's easy to reconnect to the table but it's just annoying how much people disconnecting slows down the game when they are simply sending a quick text or checking a notification

I see a ton of complaints about the single player experience but I have not had these issues with the game. The UI is a bit weird but is manageable to deal with. My main complaint is the tutorial isn't much of a tutorial just windows of text that pop up when you try an action for the first time. Meanwhile the game is still going on in the background while your reading it. Otherwise this is a pretty enjoyable game that I like playing in my spare time.

It IS a great game & well worth the time to play. However, I agree with many others despite what the developers say. It does seem there's an unfair disadvantage toward the player, even when you change the difficulty. However, it should keep you from playing. It's a great game, my only complaint is I wish Developers would listen to the player base instead of trying to defend their mechanics....maybe check the coding cause it does seem to have unfair difficulty majority of the time.

I've never played the board game so I went in blind, and this was funner than I expected. On default rules the game takes forever, but this can be sped up with optional house rules, skipping animation on AI turns, and alternative win conditions (only two conditions come with the base game). EDIT: lowered from five to three. the games dice reroll system is clearly broken and not random.

Overall it is true to the game. If you like the physical game this is fun. The interface is quirky - It's hard to read things and I wish that zoom was easer to use (pinch 2 zoom without the view mode transitions would be nice - think mac OS). I wish there was a "back" option for most things. There are times where "continue" means you can no longer change your mind and this can be frustrating. After killing someone at the crown of command I would like a "quick ignore all items" button. After killing 2 attackers dismissing 20 items each turn is annoying.

As someone whose never played the original boardgame, I'm thoroughly enjoying this digital rendition. Friendly UI, easy instructions, plenty of characters and modes for replay value, and several add-ons to purchase in addition to the game's dense contents. My favorite feature is the Skip to Next Human Player button, so you're not waiting 5minutes between your turn. It takes about 5 seconds to skip, leaving more time to actively enjoy playtime (something I wish the Horus Heresy version did). Also, being able to change options of the endgame is really neat if you're looking for a lengthy or quick game. Overall, a very satisfying, premium game worth every penny. Also, after it's initial release 4 years ago, the game is STILL being updated. Wonderful developers :)

Honestly, this game is quite fun if you play it solo or even hotseat pass and play is pretty decent implementation. However I can't give it a full five stars because of two issues that combine to make online play almost impossible. One, tabbing out of the app to switch to any other screen (text messaging client for instance) will disconnect the player from the game with no way I'm aware of to reconnect. Added to this is the worse of the two issues, which is the keyboard connection to the game is somehow messed up. It won't allow the use of backspace or enter keys. This breaks in game chat (which exacerbates the other issue, negating the ability to communicate with others while playing). This also breaks private server selection (since the name can't be changed, which is required for selecting the server). In a perfect world, the game wouldn't disconnect every time i switch to my text messaging client. It would also allow reconnection to the same game if I were disconnected. Since the games can take hours, it would also allow saving an online game in progress so it could be reconnected. I'd settle for fixing the keyboard, which would make the game painful and kludgey but at least playable online. My brother's iPhone has no issue with the keyboard. It's a very fun game, just a problematic implementation. Fix the bugs and I'll upgrade my review. And before you suggest it, I have filed a support ticket with Asmodee helpdesk.

If you're a fan of board games and Magic: The Gathering style card games, then this game is the one for you. This can be played against 3 AI or four people in real time. There's a huge array of playable characters, each bringing their own special attribute that you can strategize with, along with selecting the faction they play as. There is the base game, but has numerous dlc expansions that add new characters, cards, and even sections of the game board. This is definitely a game worth buying.
