It’s the game Ellen played with Katy Perry on her show. Like Charades with words not actions, split into 2 teams and take it in turns to describe the words on the cards. Your team has to guess as many as possible before the timer runs out! Play with video chat and throw a house party on your phone!
Taboo is a group game for adults and perfect for a fun night in with friends. How do you describe APPLE when the words RED, FRUIT, PIE, CIDER and CORE are all taboo? If you use a taboo word by mistake, the other team will buzz and you’ll lose a point. Have noisy hilarious fun either online using in-game video chat or in person. Split into two teams, or go head-to-head in One Vs All Mode. Think fast and talk your way to victory!

HOW TO PLAY
Create a game
Start a game and invite your friends. Or create an in-app chat group with your friends and start a game from your chat!
Divide into two teams
Split into two teams and name your team.
A Clue-giver is assigned from Team A
Clue-givers are chosen by the app, with team A and B taking it in turns.
The Clue-giver draws a card
The Clue-giver must describe the word, without saying any of the words on the card.
Team B stand by the Buzzer
Team B will buzz if the Clue-giver says a taboo word!
Watch the timer
Your team must guess as many words as possible before the time runs out.

Played this game a few times in one night and we already had lots of repeats of words! Kind of defeats the point of the game when you can just say it was in the last round!

It was good. But I needed premium after 1 game. So you're telling me that after 1 game? I need to pay? Seriously though. I would've been ok with 5 games but 1 is not enough.

The game is not working properlyy, screen always got stuck and we can't move to next round. There are so many bugs in this game. Need to be fixed soon.

So much fun! Loved playing this physical game, and the app is almost as good. I wish you could submit corrections if you hit the wrong button though.

Fun app version of the original paper board game. Good adaptation and lots of fun. Good that it has a free online remote play version especially now with COVID.

The free version allows exactly one local game, and you aren't informed about it beforehand. That's very inconvenient.

I haven't been able to play a real match yet because any time I try to do an online match I'll end up waiting 15 minutes just for no game, I did research some stuff and couldn't find out if this game can be played with strangers online, if it can't please allow this. It would make this game much more enjoyable

So far this game is great! Having lots of laughs with my family from different provinces. Haven't had issues so far and the video/sound has worked great. Very impressed so far and highly recommend!

This game is awesome!!!!!!! Its addictive and really makes you think outside the box. My family love it!! I only wish there were more decks 😒😒😒 we've purchased all decks on each of our devices and feel there are too many repeat cards whenever we play, which is daily! PLEEEEASE can you create more MORE MOOORE decks?!?!?!????? Thanks

LOVE that this is actually a free version of the actual game. I had a bunch of Play credits, so I bought every single expansion pack for it and it only cost like $10. This is a solid purchase if you don't want to just stick with the free deck.

Really amazing that this costs anything limited number of cards and no way to adjust the timer. Multiple decks are a stupid expensive price. Over all a very bad value that i was shocked to see its high rating. 2 things are needed. Allow the timer to be changed to a variable amount of time, allow people to add their customized deck

Ugh, you could have done it right. If anyone has the decks, let everyone in the game use them. Single device party mode where the device gets passed around. Also your sales are bull, the Word Bonanza Bundle should be $6. The two pack bundles should be $3. Give an option for more than two teams. In One vs. All the guessers should also get points or they aren't going to try. Next let community create some carts.

Very fun game for the car or boring events. I appreciate the pass and play mode, it was exactly what I was hoping to be able to do. All you need is one phone and can pass around to all have fun with the classic taboo. The extra decks are super fairly priced too, like 2$ for a whole new deck!

Fixed when I reinstalled it : Nice game have a great idea and style ads are not so much in this game ! Which is great and it's so good if you have long distance friends like me it was so good play it I like the idea and everything EXPECT one thing that we have only one deck of card that are free so it just keep repeating so I would really hope that new word can come to the free cards I hope it will happen because I played the game only like 4 to 5 times and the words kept repeating so..But great

Worth playing once but such a rip off! Every person you play with has to purchase the decks in order to use them. Otherwise, only the person who purchased them gets to use those cards. If you buy the board game you can have unlimited players with all the decks! Rip off in my opinion and ruined a potentially good game. After one round we started getting repeat cards so not even enough to truly enjoy the game.

Good interface but can be better if following things can be included 1. We should have the option of modifying the timer 2. We should have the option of modifying the number of teams instead of defaulting it to 2 3. Maximum turns available are 20 only, instead let the players decide the length of the game, if they want to limit it by number of turns (by making the max limit to atleast 500 or so) or if they want to limit it by score (eg. first to reach 'xyz' score)

Fun but limited questions. Spent money on a "16 pack" and it seems like it only added 16 questions. Not a game you can play for longer than 5 minutes without ads every 60 seconds every after spending $.

It could be great- but there are way too many problems. Half the time I can't open the Online Video Mode. When I do and invite people, it usually says Game Ended and they have to go to the home screen and get into Online Video Mode to enter a friend's game. Sometimes the app won't even start. If everything works for a moment, the video and sound work fine. Again, could be great. If it wasn't completely broken.
