The desktop version is free and offers more. It shows the steps to obtain said solution. Then you guys have the audacity to say "It's only $0.99 to subscribe." That's unacceptable. If you want to use the free version on your phone (Chrome on Android OS), click the settings button in your browser, scroll down in the settings, and check the 'desktop site' button.

Can't use the website on mobile. Instead, they force this clunky garbage that's hard to navigate and doesn't have the right materials. If you want to unlock "features" and more complex problem types, they make you pay for it with a subscription, it's not even a one-time purchase. There are also ads that get in the way. So if you want the worst calculator app with the greediest devs, who honestly don't deserve any of the money they're charging for a simple, low quality app, then this is it.

Inconsistent and scammy. The app itself is very easy to use, but rarely correct, and instead of telling you it doesn't know how the app just does bad math which is much worse. You can pay for a subscription to see the broken steps it uses to complete the math, but this doesn't get rid of the adds, doesn't help with the math in any way, and costs entirely way too much, not to mention this app is practically impossible to cancel. It took me well over four hours to cancel.

I'm so glad I found this app. I like to check my work for math due to having dyslexic/dyscalculia, and Symbolab does this near-perfectly! Sometimes the steps they show can cause more confusion, but overall this is an excellent app for checking your work and learning how to solve many different equations and calculations. Little bit of a learning curve on how to input your equation, but after that it is very user-friendly!

App update made it difficult to navigate, definite user interface issues. Customer service is terrible. I was charged for the subscription service. On the app, it didn't recognize the paid account. Symbolab basically was dismissive, "it's not our problem, we don't care" situation. After a number of exchanges, I finally disputed the charge with my CC agency and deleted the app. Will find another one rather than invest in this one. Too bad. I had been using it as a paid subscriber for 2 years.

As a solver, it is perfect. But for Symbolab as a whole, this app does not include all the features I have a subscription for from their website. I would prefer if I could access the practice section and features in this app. It would be extremely beneficial! **I am now using Symbolab Practice, though I hope in the future there could only be one app for all Symbolab features.

I was really impressed at first. But there is no way that I could find to enter a VERTICAL LINE. I was trying to graph sets and there was no way for me to enter: " {x|x>-2} and {x|x<2}" No way at all to enter "| " on your mobile keyboard. And I can't use the android keyboard instead. Every other conceivable symbol under like 8 different symbol maps including a periodic table and not one vertical line....? Please tell me I just missed it and it's super obvious. Cause I went digging for that.

I owe my A in calculus to symbolab. The fact that it breaks everything down step by step is amazing and definitely worth the relatively low subscription price. It can walk you through with very specific detail which is great both if you are trying to learn or if you simply want to pass the class and need to provide work. The camera isn't perfect and inputting the problems can be a bit tedious, but it beats any source I found online by a long shot.

It's a fantastic app and works really well for showing problems with full steps and everything but I don't appreciate how you have to pay for features on mobile that you can get for free on the desktop website, I get that an app developer needs to make money somehow but it doesn't seem fair. Also going on the website in desktop mode on a phone doesn't work either so that's not an option.

15% chance it works, 20% it falsely claims the wifi is down, 40% it works but does the wrong thing, and 25% it is clueless and doesn't work at all. Can't say what you want to do with a math problem, charges money for everything useful. Plays the loudest and most annoying sound in the world when you take a picture. Even when it works free version is useless as a learning tool bc it doesn't tell you how to do things, just shows you the answer. In other words, useless at everything except cheating.

The app is great, never had problems with the calculations and the steps make learning incredibly easy. This review WOULD be 5 stars, however I can't recommend it to new users now that you have to pay a subscription for steps. I don't think paying a subscription is nearly worth it, as there are other free calculators online that can do everything this app can do.

Hello Symbolab! This is such an amazing app! It has really helped me out with all my difficult math problems. Math used to be really hard to get through but now has become super easy and fun for me! I love that it can help you step by step and that their is three different symbolab apps to choose from. In addition, their is barely any ads and usually if you do get one it's only like 5-10 seconds. I do have one question though that is if any of the apps have simplifying included? Thank you!

It's diffcult to know different features of the app and it's frustrating to find some relative easy questions to use as an example, another issue with it can't process problems. The app only helps with simple questions no complex otherwise it won't recognize it. So far recent changes have brought over some improvements hopefully it'll go through that path. As for now if it can solve complex given problem from teachers that's be great. And hopefully worded problems can be solvable too. It lacks options how to go about solving the problem. And for most cases it's incorrect mathway usually and consistently gets the correct anwser it can't solve division of polynomials right either.

Almost perfect. There's quite a learning curve that needs to be climbed before deep diving into the calculator, but it is able to complete almost anything you throw at it. Some improvements: The camera needs a lot of work. It works maybe 20% of the time on calculus problems typed out. If it worked more like mathway where it takes a still picture and then processes it, I could see it improving. Showing the radius of convergence on series answers would be nice. Dark mode needs the cursor changed

The step by step explanations really do help you not only solve the problem, but allow you to learn how to do others similar to it on your own. This app has helped so much with my math studies ranging from algebra 1 all the way to precalculus. One thing that bugs me though, when it gives you the option to check another answer to see if it's also correct, it doesn't display the other equations. A recent problem is the extremely loud shutter sound that plays no matter what settings are changed.

The step by step breakdown of the equations is a game changer for me. It's the handful of times when it's far off base that are vexing. Even when I try selecting the correct type of equation or fixing one that scanned incorrectly, it is sometimes still completely wrong. Those are frustrating, but given how awesome it is otherwise, it's still easily a 4.5-5 star app. I would recommend it to any College Algebra student who struggles. As a study tool, it's phenomenal!

The application is great but billing is another story!!?? I subscribed to the Universal Annual Subscription (Symbolab: Math Problem Solver), just to discover that you have been billing me on a monthly basis the amount due for the Annual subscription which is $42.64 (Google Play Store). So, since November 8, 2023 , my credit card has been debited 3 times: $42.64 * 3 = $127.92 Now I had to cancel my subscription completely and I expect a full refund. Thank you for your understand
